Punisher: The war is on! 4

This was a good issue. You can read this without reading the series before this one. Of course it'll be better if you do it, but you can easily jump on this. I'm not sure about the art. I like it in some parts, but I really do miss Checchetto.(SPOILERS!!!!!!)Spider-man is the first one to try to stop Frank, but he fails. After this, he decides to ask his team ( The Avengers) to help, but they don't take Frank too serious. It is Cap, like always, the one who decides to step on it. The mission is ...

    Mass Killer 4

The Good:I told myself all week I was not going to buy this comic, because my pull list was already too big, but when I saw that cover in my local Comic Shop, I just couldn't leave it there. I bought it and wasn't disappointed. When I heard that Rucka's amazing run in the Punisher was gonna be canceled, I got extremely sad, because I loved it since the very first issue. I was cheered up a bit when I heard a new title was coming out. Yeah.. I said ''a bit'', because Punisher: War Zone is only goin...

    Punish the Avengers 0

The Good: Amazing dialogue through out this issue, Loved how frank made Spider-Man into a little boy. Great action scene. I also really loved the conversation Cap , and Logan had. It good to know Logan will tell it like it is even to the Leader of the Avengers Face. I loved how Greg wrote Tony as well, it was really funny. Also the ending was amazing way to finish this issue. Let it Burn Punisher.I will say the cover is freaking sweet. The Bad : I wish the pace would of picked up in this issue. I ...

Welcome to the War Zone 0

I have been a Punisher fan for years now and I have been loving Gregg Rucka's work on the character over the past year and a bit and will be sad to see him leave the character. I have also for years wanted a superhero like Captain America or the Avengers as a team to go, "OK Frank, you've taken it too far now and you need to stop before we make you," so I was ecstatic when I saw the cover for War Zone revealed knowing full well before I read the article that came along with it what the story wil...

Shaping up to be one of The Punisher's must-read adventures. 2

There are a lot of critically acclaimed series out there. Though I like to keep up on the books that receive positive word of mouth, I just don't have enough money to pick up everything the professionals rave about. Even when I do; when I find good starting point (X-Force: Dark Angel Saga) or a high profile issue to a series receiving good word of mouth (Fantastic Four 607-608 featuring Black Panther), I find that my enjoyment rate of recommended books is only around 50%. Even then I tend to onl...

    Avengers on his tail 0

I often wondered what would take for the Avengers or other supergroup to hunt and lock down Frank Castle and it appears this day has arrived (sure, after Castle "killed" Nick Fury, S.H.I.E.L.D. and the Avengers went down on him, but this tastes different to me). After being falsely accused of killing those cops, Castle now will have to fight the Avengers. I really enjoyed the pace and dynamics of this story, of how it was Spider-Man that brought up the issue for the group, that they can't no lon...
