Overview

It's part 4 of “Blood and Sand,” with the heart of the American dream at stake. G.W. Bridge is on the hunt. Clarke is on the run. Tati's in hell. And THE PUNISHER discovers the horrible secret of Hate Monger's empire buried beneath the desert floor. Which means this is the issue where the bodies start dropping and hope comes in short supply. Frank's insane crusade against the Hate Monger's diabolical murder sprees south of the border finds its bloody tipping point, and it's only going to get worse from here. Can one man stand against an army fueled by pure hate?

Now

Frank is still tied up. Hate-Monger stands wondering where the shot came from that killed one of his men. Frank simply smiles telling him he's doomed. They prepare to move their men out to find the shooter when a couple more men are shot. It appears that there may be two shooters. Hate-Monger figures that the shooters are there for Frank and demands to the shooters that they show themselves.

Then

Frank is being taken to the compound with a bag over his head. They arrive and he sees simple houses. He is surprised once he enters. The room is huge with a lot of equipment and lots of manpower. They all believe in the hate.

In New Jersey, Bridge sits and waits in his motel room. The phone rings again after he set the bounty for Frank. He has been receiving many calls from wannabe bounty hunters. It turns out to be Stuart. Stuart asks if it's Bridge and when he figures it out, he hangs up on him.

Frank meets with the Hate-Monger. He goes on about White Power and how he took the "Pig's costume" away from "him." He wants to bring America back for "Euro-Anglo-Aryan Christian white folk." As Hate-Monger continues talking, Frank begins to feel the hate there. He feels the urge to kill something. At this time, Bridge gets on a plane and drives to the Mexico border.

Hate-Monger tells Frank that he has a surprise for him, a sort of hazing. He finds himself in an arena where he can see a woman tied to a chair with a bag over her head. Hate-Monger wants Frank to "kill a rat" for him. As everyone watching is cheering, Frank can feel all the hate and finds himself struggling to stop the urge to kill. As they remove the bag, Frank is surprised to see it is Tatiana, Stuart's girlfriend. Frank approaches and tells himself that he can't stop. As he begins and sees red, he tries telling himself that he's not there. He tries convincing himself that he's really miles away. He cannot stop himself. He asks for forgiveness as it ends with a loud "KKKRAK." Tatiana lies motionless on the ground.

At Stuart's motel, Bridge arrives. Stuart is dismayed that Bridge didn't bring in backup as he fills him in on the operation of the super-nazis.

Frank is heading out in a convoy with his new "friends." He's is brooding over what he had to do. The guy driving the truck asks why he has a duffel bag when they supply all the munitions he'd need. Sticking his hand in the bag, the driver is shocked to find Frank's Punisher costume. Frank takes care of the driver and he dresses in his costume. He plans on killing them all. When they arrive at their destination, the men are doing their work and Frank starts shooting at all of them. He uses his own rage against them. Unfortunately, Frank is soon outnumbered. The men overtake him as the Hate-Monger arrives and expresses his disappointment. He promises to kill him after they are finished killing the other "rats" first. Frank is knocked out.

Now

Back in the desert, Hate-Monger demands the shooter show himself. Bridge comes out from behind a boulder. Hate-Monger is not happy to see "One of You." Bridge cuts him off saying that he's there to arrest Frank by any means necessary.
