Why are they drawn so large? I absolutely Love Psylocke...but i dont think theres any reason for her to have these abnormal leg muscles drawn on her from time to time. I understand she's an assassin and what not, but her super power isnt super strength so whats the point?

Natural leg strength since she has no super powers in that respect it makes sense that her natural muscle would be so big form her line of work.

#3 Posted by Donnieman v5.1 (44309 posts) - 5 years, 1 month ago - Show Bio

Her legs are drawn the way they are purely for aesthetic purposes.

#4 Posted by pixelized (62859 posts) - 5 years, 1 month ago - Show Bio

drawn for who's aesthetic? because i know i'm not pleased lol...i can understand rogue having them, but psylocke? its a bit of a turn-off

It's to appeal to guys. Most comic artists disregard women's views when drawing.

I guess artists don't figure there are people like you out there asking these questions.

Sometimes I see Batman with huge muscles, yet he is meant to be an agile fighter. I guess it's just the artist's tastes.

Lol i understand that comics are a fantasy world, but there has to be a certain amount of logical explanations for things. I can handle the breast enlarging and deflating from issue to issue, but Leg muscles? come on now. lol

for you yo ask for logic in a fantasy world is kinda weird because for goodness sake it is a fantasy world! I guess you have grown up waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyy too much to see it in a different point of view, which I will no longer argue from. It is like what my friend recently realized that the Little Mermaid of Disney happened in span of 3 days and yet they marry in the end. Try to put logic on that? or that talking crab, Sebastian. Cartoons are cartoons unless it tries to denote realism but even so, we know what is really reality.

it is quite obvious why women in comics are made that way as well as the men. I am not saying its right but it is also not wrong. As for Psylocke's legs, I don't see why there is something wrong if she has muscles in them.

girls with big thighs scare the living hell out of me. like volleyball players. ever since i saw xena onatopp kill all those guys with her legs in goldeneye, i just cant shake the feeling im gonna hook up with a girl like that and shes gonna wrap her legs around me and crush me.

For every "big leg" hater afraid you will date a girl like that, let grown folks help you out send her to Sling Shot. I like Marion Jones legs, and you can keep the chicken legged flat backs for your self.

Chun li's moves are leg based. Therefore it more understandable for hers to look the way they do....Psylocke on the other hand i dont get it.

@ Ice prince...I dont mind her having them and i'm not necessarily asking for logic, but give a realistic reason for her to have them...Her legs should be toned, not buldging. From the way she looks its like she can crush someones head in those bad boys. haha

Just noticed this post... her left leg looks like this because her knee is towards to audience, so it has to appear larger since it's closer to you.

They look normal to me. Only a bit toned up. I mean she is an assassin after all

I don't expect to see a assassin girl with chicken legs that can hardly even hold her own weight.

As soon as I saw the thread I quickly thought I would see a Psylocke like this:

But Psylocke in that cover looks normal IMO.
