She always looked Asian to me...Ethnicity does not matter I guess.

British Betsy will always be the best. Asian had a few good moments, but was convuluted with body swap retcons, crimson dawn powersm,  licking Scott's face, and writers not knowing what to do with her leaving her as nothing more than sex kitten wallpaper and thong riding vag shots.

Asian Psylocke, probably just because that's what she was like when I was introduced to the character.

But having her back as a British woman is not at all bad... not even if she decided to go with her natural color hair which is blonde! Watch out Emma a real blonde is on the way. But the Asian Psylocke will be such a waste if she won't be used... she has a stronger fan base and much recognized, I do not see why they can't have two Psylocke... one as Kwannon now on her own body with TK and Betsy having her telepathy and some acquired skills from Kwannon.

The one purple haired british person switches bodies with the one purple haired asian person.

Thats one of the reasons I loathe Asian Betsy. People think "Cool Asian ninja psychic" There is no characterization. No depth. They just see thongkini and psychic knife. I agree that most people recognize Asian Psylocke because that was a time when comics were at its high and plenty of people came on board. I feel many who say "thats when i got introduced to the character when she was asian" are missing out on so much. I feel they should try and hunt down as many issues of Psylocke from the old days to see just how mch better than the asian incarnation she really is. Especially during the outback period. The people that say British Betsy was too "girly" must not have been reading the same woman. Yeah she was feminie but it was such a great contrast with the warrior she really was. She was deadly in her own way. She used her tp much more effectively instead of "PSYCHIC KNIFE" everytime. She was dangerous and to tell the truth softened in her ninja days. British Betsy was brutal, ready to kill, sneaky, psycho blasting, and badassI also dont like how she has been typecast into the token asian character when in relaity SHE IS NOT ASIAN!

This is what I raised in a thread I made months ago.
When Jamie Braddock brought her back, why in an Asian body and not with the British body?

was it a bad writing? because that was a good point to really return her to her original body and even be blonde again, as compared to this weird revival of her body. As far as I remember she is supposed to be immune from magic and psychic attacks... oh well.

Mr. Falcon, shouldn't have made that excuse of white Folks as if there is something wrong with the picture. There is no race issue with the team so why make one? Besides I agree with you guys that Psylocke even in an Asian body is still British. Karma and Jubilee (if they return her powers) could have been a good choice.

Reading those snippets seems she was written a lot like Emma Frost is now. Kind of sad she changed having those two on the same team would be fun.

either, asian or british she MUST keep her purple hair, i feel that it's her trademark.
however, i do prefer her being asian, as i am a purple-haired asian myself. ;]

as for powers, all her original ones.... but the whole butterfly thing... i never liked
and i wish she could keep her shadow powers but they wouldnt work outside the context of the story
