Interior art looks way better than the cover.

" It's a shame that after I enjoyed the Necrosha one-shot so much that I found this so disappointing.  Ridiculous out-of-nowhere battles, emo-blog thought captions, and that vanity costume with the ribbons. Great artwork, though. And I enjoy Yost enough to give the second issue a chance.  Hey, maybe the arm on the cover was deformed because Finch spent so much time on the butt shot? "
Out of nowhere battles? there was one and that was all just to set up the rest of the mini. I think the "emo" bit is understandable as she is carrying her old body to it's resting place. "
The stuff with the Hand felt out of nowhere. Maybe after the mini is  finished  I'll feel otherwise, but so far no good. No disrespect to Bets, though.

I can't wait to read this! And I really like the friendship between Dazzler and Psylocke. The art is beautiful, especially the psi-blade.

I just hope my local Barnes n Noble gets it in stock. I was just there today and I didnt see it. :(

I'm such a HUGE Psylocke FAN! She is the best! She's my fave since 1993 and i just love her. And i think this is the best era for Betsy!
She's just released as DLC for PS3 and has her first SOLO series out now!

GOOD LUCK TO MY NINJA BABE!

I think it was supposed to catch her off guard. She was going to Japan to lay her body to rest, not expecting any conflict, and then that happened which then sets up the rest of the mini.

@pixelized: I got it & read it now :)

I tell you what's nice is how it really does feel like old Betsy.  Even though she keeps harping on about how her memories from her old body feel like someone else's memories, she reads like old Betsy used to :)

With Emma stuck in diamond form (thanks to absorbing a sliver of evil from the Sentry), Psylocke is important because she is the team's lone telepath. That said, I preferred the much more British looking proper woman from Captain Britain series written by Alan Moore/Alan Davis. After all the complaints about super hero 3 somes, Psylocke's ass shot in a ninja by way of stripper look should be an issue.

that's the way it shows when she's using her telepathy. "

@pixelized: Yeah, I read that thinking it was plotted on purpose.  To stop fans from writing in asking for her to be transferred back into her old body.  Kinda pointless, because (even as she said) her body had been there for years before so why didn't the Hand attack then?

Anyway, stranger things have happened in comics... if Marvel really wanted to put her back into the British body then they'd find a way :p

All true. I'm still amazed at the super ebauming fluid that they used to keep her body preserved after it was brought back. Should they ever run out off magical money, they could certainly market that stuff.

I have the issue and let me tell you. I have nothing bad to say about it. The Finch cover is excellent. The artwork inside took me by surprise. Its just as good as the cover art.  Psylocke, Dazzler, and Wolverine! Thats like the "Lets Waste Them!" Team. Each has character has a attitude.

Great review.

Loving the art in this and plus with Chris Yost writing it's a win for me!

My only concern is the same one that Babs has, the freaky cover arm! Blurgh!

lol, I didn't really notice much up with the arm until I watched this.
Awesome review and I'd have to say I really liked this book. It's probably one of the only X-related titles I've read in a really long time that didn't come off as being unnecessarily convoluted.

Artwork 4.5/5 - was totally mindblowing for interior art. Definitely be keeping an eye on Tolibao.
Writing 4/5 - I'm definitely interested in seeing where this will go, Yost's writing is pretty awesome, kinda feels like an old "Wolverine out for revenge" storyline, but wordier and less linear.

I was so-so on this, and got the impression that really knowing the Psylocke history was necessary to follow along.
