Plot Summary

Psylocke has returned to the X-Men! Following the defeat of Madelyne Pryor Sisterhood, Psylocke travels to Japan to re-inter her former body in its proper resting place. But when a swarm of Hand ninjas attack Psylocke and do the unspeakable under orders from Matsu’o—the assassin originally responsible for transplanting Psylocke’s mind into the body of an Asian ninja—Psylocke determines that Matsu’o is one loose end that can no longer be left unresolved. It’s a tale of carnage and revenge, brought to you by superstars Chris Yost (X-FORCE) and Harvey Tolibao (AVENGERS: THE INITIATIVE)!

I love how this story is going so far. The good thing is that they didn't mention about what happen to her with the Sisterhood, which was a very bad plot, only that her body was burned by Alison. I love how through out this plot, she has some inner conflict with herself. Not feeling the way she used to feel, all her memories that meant the most to her was in her original body. Her conversation with both Alison, Scott, and Logan was very interesting to read. One of the most new part was when she was confronted by the officers of Japan. Something that I didn't know was that they knew Kwannon was an assassin, I thought that was a secret that only a few people knew. The most excellent part in the story was her battle with the Hand ninjas. The artwork was so incredible and breathe taking. Normally when you see a psychic girl fight you think ooh this is going to be boring all they're going to do is make them kill each other, but for Psylocke, she relied only on her psychic knife and her fighting skills. The flash back that she had when she was in her original body was helpful to understand how she looked like and what her former life was before she became an X-Man and Asian. Overall of the story is that its a good one, and I recommend reading this issue. I'd give it a 5 out of 5. Good issue, can't wait for the second one.

I'm probably gonna get a lot of heat for this...(spoilers)

Hmm...I don't know what it was about this issue that i just didn't find appealing. The Art was good, so i suppose it had to be something with the story. I guess i was just disappointed that this book chose the path to follow the normal cliche. So we get Psylocke who is taking her original body back to Japan to bury it. Japan of all places i have no idea why. Lo and behold Betsy gets ambushed by the most cliched thing you could ever get ambushed by in Japan. Yep thats right Hand Ninjas. Who are working for the over cliched evil Japanese buisnessman or Warlord who for some reason wants to destroy Betsy's already dead body for no other apparent reason other than to be a total dick. By the way The Hand is supposed to be lead by Daredevil right? So i fail to see what either Matt or the Hand would gain to see the destruction of a corpse and a pissed off katana wielding white woman in an asian woman's body on a rampage for revenge. I already saw the same premise in Kill Bill.
