They do that for everybody. They don't want to put there exact class so they just rank them at 100. However everybody or most people take superman to the limit and only look at what he does and thinks that when they say he lifts over 100 tons there wrong he should be listed as the strongest person which isn't true. When they say 100 tons they don't really mean it. Its obviously they can lift more.

Actually the DC Universe has a strength class called Incalcuable, that has people in it who can lift far more than 100 tons... and the 100 tons limit is only a base"
