I did hear Aaron say in an interview on CBR that would have Thor show up again. Allegedly in a "big" way as well. While I wouldn't mind seeing the real God of thunder be restored in some capacity, I'm taking Aaron's statement with a truckload of salt. Because the same man who is promising this "big" return for Thor is the same man who put him in the predicament that he's in right now.

Well since they're willing to bring back Steve Rogers as Captain America, I have some renewed faith that someone at Marvel will begin to clean up the mess Aaron made with Thor by restoring him to at least some measure of the power he had before losing the hammer to Fraudster (Ultimate Mjolnir or otherwise).

The only good thing I'm willing to say about the new book is that the real Thor isn't in it.

It's a secret that Aaron can take with him to his grave for all I care.

There's nothing about Jane Fraudster's run as "God of Thunder" that's worth respecting. Most of what she's done with the hammer is stuff that we've seen the real Thor do countless other times. Even the whole "mental control of the Hammer" shtick: The 24th issue of God of Thunder showed that Thor made the hammer smack into Ulik and the Minotaur before returning to his hand. She basically lied to him as Foster about not being "worthy" (a lie that will be continued to be repeated if Thor survives SW) and when she was in her disguise she didn't even have the spinal fortitude to just tell him who she really was when he asked that one thing of her. Aaron basically reduced Thor into a complete mental and physical wreck who can barely function without the hammer just to make Fraudster look better. And she's a hypocrite on top of that. Oh sure she won't accept some healing magic because Aaron decided to invoke the "Power at a Price" trope, but she'll happily take her friend's signature weapon after he's been screwed out of it and despite the fact that it killing her to even use the damn thing. She's and her story is a total joke and I will drink to the day that it finally runs its course.

There are a few comics coming out of ANADM that I'm willing to try. But as far as Jane "False-Thor" Foster is concerned, I'm avoiding her book like the plague.

@asgaard: Agreed. I'd rather him be dead than have to be Aaron's butt monkey. Hopefully him appearing on the wraparound cover of the new book is just the artist just adding him there for grins and giggles. I'd say the same for BRB but Aaron's already confirmed him to appear in the book. Tough break, Beta Ray, tough luck.

Wouldn't mind. It would certainly be better than having to put up with Fraudster.

Yeah, I managed to read the last two issues of Thors, and I have to say that the real Thor is more active in that book than he ever was playing second fiddle to Fraudster.

If Thor is indeed still dead by the time Aaron's book hits in November, then that's probably for the best. I'd rather him be dead than to let Aaron continue to maul his character just to make Jane Fraudster look good. I'm just sorry that Beta Ray Bill and Hercules are getting dragged into this mess. Especially Bill after Aaron one-shotted him at the beginning of Thors. Nothing like adding insult to injury, eh Aaron.
