I didn't cross anybody's mind that they are portraying him as a father figure? Tha is also the reason he started the new X-force, in order for him and that team f already screwed-up characers would do the dirty work so the other xmen including the children wouldn't have to.

Without even comparing Supes and SS i think Superman holds back more since he is usually pitted against super criminals and planetary threats. Surfer on the other hand deals with universal villains and usually the stakes are to high for him to hold back. On any other occasion since the power cosmic gives Surfer the ability to manipulate matter thus being able to liquidify almost anyone in an instant i'd say he holds back a lot.

The name was chosen just for effect back in the day (sounds bad-ass). Their purpose isn't to exact revenge upon anyone. When they actually became a little darker in their approach a couple of years back there were complaints that the character of the team was being altered. It really depends on the writers and the general direction Marvel wants the team to take (the Ultimates are more "avengefull").

the costume looks great but there is one problem. the boots have clearly hard soles. so how is it possible for spidey to adhere to walls with his feet? apart from that i also like the fact that they didn't add fake muscles to the suit

the whole think just sounds pointless to me.so it will be another civil war with maybe a few surprises regarding some mutants' allegiance to the avengers (wolverine, beast, quicksilver, scarlet witch?time for a comeback maybe?) and that's about in my opinion

how bout leavin DP alone and just killing the book's writer ? (i'm willing to settle with just changing him with the one that used to write Cable/Deadpool or DP's solo series in the 90's)
