Rules

  • Both contestants are in character.
  • Standard elimination rules.
  • Random encounter.
  • Start 30 feet apart.
  • Neither John nor Logan know about their opponent's presence.
  • Master Chief has an Assault Rifle, 2 SMGs, 5 grenades, and a handgun.
  • Wolverine has adamantium claws and his regular costume.

Setting

An open forest with plenty of daylight.

Debate in this thread until next Monday (9/23/13), and then I will put up the voting thread for one day. Once the voting is done, I will post a thread with the winner in a scenario written by me based on the votes and debate. One good argument for each character will be quoted and included in the thread revealing the victor.

Not to interrupt the Claws vs Shield debate...but Chief's physical stats are pretty huge over Wolverine. Would Wolverine even be able to tag Chief? Could he overpower Chief if he grabs him by the wrists or otherwise disables his ability to slash? If game feats are allowed here, Chief can flip tanks over. 60-70 tons.

Game feats apply, but only the reasonable ones relating to the story. Multi-player feats are DO NOT count. First of all, they are mere game mechanics. Second of all, they're generic SPARTAN-II's, not Master Chief himself. Realistically Master Chief in the MJOLNIR armor can lift around 2-3 tons.

No, John's physical stats are barely above Wolverine's, at least in regards to strength.

Yeah. Hopefully they make some comic books or novels on Master Chief and his run-in with the Forerunners/Prometheans. That would have SO many awesome feats!

Master Chief flipping tanks that weigh 60-70 tons is just for the game mechanics. Heck, the developers even joked about it if you flip an Elephant on Sandtrap.
