An easy way for DC to finally have some credibility with their live action movies would be to have the people from all their animated movies make them. DC animated movies are top notch. DC live movies are usually a solid mediocre(recent Batman franchise being the only exception). Look at Marvel, they have it backwards, their animated movies are weak but their live movies are fantastic! It's like both groups said "hey look, we'll do a good job with this style, you do a good job with that style" and just gave up on the other.

Point #2: If Superman has his powers from birth and stands out from normal Kryptonians then why would anyone care about Zod or the others? They aren't using super suits like the first GI Joe movie are they?!

JGL seems like he could embody the character of Star Lord pretty well. Rosenbaum was fantastic in smallville as Lex but Quill isn't a Luthor type persona. Really looking forward to this movie either way, just hope it comes out before justice league or people will think Thanos is a copy of Darkseid... which he kinda was to start with. ;)

Mysterio is the clear cut King of awesome. Spider-Man is a mostly realistic story line. Normal kid gets bit by abnormal spider kid gets spectacular powers. Mysterio is one of the few realistic bad guys that exists in the Spider-Man universe. He has special effects as his gimmick. He has a fishbowl on his head and he still looks cool. No goofy origin story like Electro (whom I like) or any of the others. Just a regular guy who turned to a life of crime because he could. He wanted more than Hollywood was paying him for special effects so he turns towards crime in hopes of a bigger paycheck. In such a bad economy as we have right now I could see somebody doing this. Need I mention the fishbowl again?!

@DJ1107: I'm sure people are not enjoying the flash for other reasons that it's not Wally West. Flash fans are used to change(see Jay Garrick and Barry Allen).

Man I can't say I like the idea of some kid dealing with the weight and scope of cosmic issues. Nova barely handled it in the DnA run from years back. Having a kid make such universe altering decisions? Not so much. On another aspect though, I did like Loeb's Batman work so it could be great. It just couldn't work with this character if I were writing it(if I wrote it even I wouldn't buy it). And did anyone else think of Batman li'l Gotham when they saw that first cover of nova flying at you? Weeee! Hahaha

The man who brought us Jar Jar Binks and who killed Darth Maul after like 12 minutes of screen time sold the star wars franchise. People were upset by this? The way I see it maybe George Lucas is done killing my childhood, I'm tired of everything turning to crap "the way George Lucas originally intended it."

Wait and see what else happens. How many times do we read some awful issue and think the series is turning to crap only to have it all resolved and issue or two later.
