I also see trophy rooms as an arsenal not just a memento from a previous battle.
yes many times their secret HQ is breached, but how many times has a "trophy" saved the lives of our favorite heroes?
There have been numerous examples across all the comic book universes.
This used to be an old comic somewhere. Like Code Blue it followed the lives of police officers in a superhero world.
I personally think that the villains focus on the heroes so much that they overlook the common police officer / detective. Regardless, police show the villains and the heroes that they are the law. They might not have powers, but they have the courage to stand up for truth and justice.
