The Destroyer during its entire existence has only been damaged twice, once the Celestials and the other by King Thor(this time period in which this instance occurred was erased from primary Marvel continuity). The Destroyer, based on previous instances, can only be damaged by high-level magic/cosmic/matter/reality manipulation. Since the Hulkbuster isn't amped by above sources, then it is incapable of damaging the Destroyer.

To make matters worse, the Destroyer's strength has been only been matched by skyfathers. Hulk isn't as strong as any skyfather...his fight with Zeus proves that.
