I wonder if someone can quickly explain who the black swans are to me? I thought Emma Frost on the panel with lots of them.

I will concede that Cyke has had some decent development, but my issue is that it hasnt had a resolution. We havent really seen his revolution do anything, I know that is because of Secret Wars starting but really his character with the phoenix egg could have continued after secret wars as the only mutant who knows what it was like before. That would have been huge for his character because he could use it to his advantage but also depending on how it goes with the new world post secret wars, he could see his mutant world be accepted or rejected again.

It bums me out that he was the first to go, I like that he was first to stand up but sheesh I feel a bit like... What was the point in the Phoenix egg. If the PF doesnt resurface soon I will lose faith in Marvel and their handling of it. I feel like it deserves far more respect than it gets, someone else said it that it is passed around way too much.

My wish at this moment is that the White hot room exists outside of the universes and that Cyke and REAL Jean are going to come back down like Adam and Eve and bring about a new rebirth but this time with them in it. One can but dream :(

I like you was so happy to see Cyc step up as he would do since his whole revolution, but I was left reeling by what happened. I mean we haven't seen the Phoenix egg really have any meaning until... oh wait we still haven't because it once again seems like the most pointless thing to happen.

I have realised what my issues are with X-Men comics lately. There is no permanent character growth or development for anyone. Not even the big names or franchise faces like Storm, Cyc and Emma. If you look at everything since schism, Cyc has been on this crusade but it hasn't come to any sort of climax. The phoenix egg seemed to offer Cyc the means of achieving that revolution but instead we get what happens in SW4 before we even get used to him with the Phoenix. I mean realistically The Phoenix should now find a new host...

Storm got her own solo but its had no impact on her because we have entered SW.

Teen Jean is the only one who has had development but even that has gone down the route of Cyc,take a character and make them completely different to what fans knew her to be so everyone hates her.

I wonder which Storm that is going to be then, it almost looks like Ultimate Storm with the more tactical look.

I much prefer 616 Storm so hope its her, other than that we know for sure its Old man Logan, Teen Jean, 616 Magik, 616 Old Iceman, Nightcrawler (Wouldnt surprise me if he is AOA version) and Colossus (Who looks more like the BOTA version so potentially 616)

I love AOA. Love it! But... I agree with someone else on here that said it is just too convoluted to make me think of it as a good piece of storytelling. AOX was nice because it was a good read and easy enough to follow (not that I need spoonfeeding, but I like to just go back and read something without getting out a list of what comes first and second and then all the tie ins and the likes)

That is 616 scott, he opens the phoenix egg in the first SW issue and then gets on the raft.

I just posted this comment in the latest marvel news thing but I felt I wanted to know how the actual X-Fans feel about it.

Firstly,

I am horrified by all of this, I get that there is need for change but what is CLEARLY happening with X-Men (I won't include f4 for a particular reason) is awful for me as a fan.

The X-Men have fundimentally been about people being different to one and other, something that Marvel seems to be championing in recent years. However, their recent treatment of X-Men has been so wrong to me as a person who grew up loving the X-Men comics because of their core values. Right now I am only seeing them be segregated from the rest of the Marvel universe and nobody is commenting on that because they are too busy accepting all the "New" characters that support diversity. The X-Men have done this for years! Their whole resurgence came from making them more international. How can a property that has always been trying to encourage diversity and cohabitation be either moved to its own universe/part of a universe/cease to exist/Become villains and fans not be angered by that.

I know this is a rant but I hope someone at least agrees with me, I don't know how to even change this other than by so far dropping all other marvel books than the x-men ones I collect

In Ultimate end #1 we see both Cyclops and Spiderman but I thought they were on the raft?

Right as a complete idiot when it comes to this situation... Is everyone who was on earth 616 and the ultimate universe dead? As in like, if they werent on the ship at the end? I ask because I am confused as to why Thor would be chosen by Cyke over Storm who was next to her?
