"With Flashpoint erasing the marriage, we don't have to worry about a divorce or bitterness from fans (as with Spider-Man and Mary Jane's marriage)."

Ah, why would the fans react any differently than in the Spidey vs. MJ case?

About the issue with for example Wolverine in Hell, but still on The Avengers: the easy explanation is that they take place at different moments. While the books are published every month ( or so ), time in the books is not passing by so fast. An arc of 4 issues ( thus 4 months ) could tell a story that takes place in less than 3 hours.
Yeah, I get that. Still, it's kind off a stretch for me to believe that this is the same Logan. If the hell incident happened some time before FI, you would expect that Logan would mention it on occasion (going to hell should be a lasting memory, even for Wolverine), especially since none of his current Avengers buddies did crap to help him out there.

I always try to not look too closely to such inconsistencies, since I am aware that they are kind of inevitable in a shared universe. However, with guys like Spidey and Logan who are in almost every book by now it just gets a little ridiculous.

I think this is a good idea. The comic book industry needs some new, big things happening.
Only that the 900th DCU reboot is not a 'big thing'. It is a boring think which feels like it has been done over and over already.

Also, the motivation of DC for spreading this rumor is rather transparent. Of course they need to give people the feeling that this is the real deal, that Flashpoint will really change the status quo. 'cause if people expect that after Flashpoint everything will revert back to normal, then DC's big summer event suddenly downgrades about 5 levels from 'blockbuster must-have event' to 'extended What If story'.

I am generally not the biggest fan of heroes that already have a solo book in a team. Yeah, it's commonplace since ever (what with Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, ...) but all too often the solo book and the team book make no sense whatsoever together. FF and ASM are fine so far, but that's obviously just the launch phase. 2 months from now both books will go back to totally ignoring what happens in the other, just like it is already the case with Avengers and New Avengers.

It always surprises me that fans can go bat-shit crazy if a book ignores a 10-year-old piece of continuity, but can easily accept that, for instance, Wolverine can literally go to hell in his own book and, at the same time, continue duty in the Avengers books.
