@darklord_apoc: Haha, that's a good question. Many would say Highfather(even though it wouldn't fit into the Apokalyptian theme) would be rather slanted in the other direction(since he's roughly considered the equal of Darkseid), though Thanos outpaces him by far in regards to combat-feats. So it's your call there. Otherwise you could try adding Pre-New 52 Orion bloodlused/out of charcter, as he's exceedingly powerful and potentially versatile(usually considered an easy match for, or at times argued to exceed, Superman).
On the whole, Darkseid and Highfather are the only New-Gods(besides The Infinity-Man) that I can think of off hand who would present a challenge to/potentially beat Thanos.
@darklord_apoc: Ah, I see. In theory, Mantis should be able to challenge Darkseid himself, but in practice he has some pretty sub-par showings. The Parademons would basically prove to be nothing more than fodder(that an "area of effect" energy attack or two from Thanos would most likely quell, and he'd probably resort to seeing a swarm of them).
