I really like to read darker versions of stories like the current Batman, Swamp Thing, Aquaman and X-Force titles. I have recently finally gotten into liking Superman. And I was wondering if there were any darker versions of the Superman story? (No I dont mean where Superman is evil) Superman Earth One sounded like it would be on the darker side from the reviews I read. Anyone have any suggestions?

I never liked Wolvie until I read X-Force. That book is just too good and Remender makes him quite the bad ass.

I couldnt agree more. It was just to cheesy and corny for me. I am going to give Uncanny X-Men a whirl. If I dont like it, Ill just stick to X-Force for now. That book is too good!

Try Uncanny X-men

this or xmen legacy. How do you not like WatX?

I really dont like the art. So that was the first challenge. I didnt find it as funny as people were saying it was. I also was expecting a little more action than what was going on. I do like Aaron as a writer, I think this book just might not be for my taste.

I am going to read one more issue before I officially drop it. Ill check out Uncanny X-Men and see if I like it.

Thanks for the suggestions :)

I read the first 3 issues of Wolverine and the X-Men and couldnt get into it. I didnt think it was very funny and it only features a couple of the X-Men I love. I grew up on the 90's X-Men carton and just started reading comics again a few months ago after a 14 year hiatus. I read about whats been going on in the X world and what Schism did to get myself a little caught up. Is there any other highly recommended title that will feature a lot of the characters I grew up on. Or will I have to rely on reading old trades for now?

I am also currently reading X-Force and am loving it. Best book on my list for sure.

Hellblazer

Sorry I should have been more specific. Major superhero stories please. Not into Constantine and the paranormal.
