Great Fashion! Stuff I'd love to wear.

This is a list of outfits that I think have really nice design sense. I'd wear the stuff myself if I were a superhero or villain. And some of it I'd wear just to go out on the town. If the description I wrote doesn't seem like it goes with the picture, it's because sometimes the picture changes. I have no control over that.

List items

  • One of the most original things I've seen yet. The long coat is a nice option to a cape, too.

  • Another long coat. Elegant.

  • Bad ass kitty. The gun's a nice fashion accessory, too.

  • Enigmatic and mysterious.

  • Edgy and threatening.

  • I'd love to hit the clubs in this slinker.

  • A sophisticated noir look. Great hair, too.

  • I dig that military style.

  • Nice novelty touches.

  • Old-school ladylike danger.

  • Absolutely smashing, every one.

  • Techno-goth slick.

  • As intimidating as this dude looks, I think his getup has real style. Great pants. The nail polish is a nice touch, too.

  • It's ironic that this character is named Tomorrow Woman, because her outfit is influenced by yesterday's style. The costume looks like something a superhero in ancient Greece would wear. And it looks great. The way the cape is connected to the rest of the costume is really nice.

  • Opulance and danger.

  • I could definitely see raising some hell in this.

  • I'd expect someone with a name like Poison to have a cool outfit.

  • Casual, magical elegance.

  • Flash Gordon meets mod.

  • Now here's a bunch that does it right.

  • Nicely done asymmetry.

  • Spacey, contemporary darkwave.

  • A beautifully designed character overall.

  • I wouldn't mind throwing some punches in this getup.

  • Sometimes I can't exlain why I like something. I consider this outfit Anti-Fashion more than real fashion. What's Anti-Fashion? IDK. I just made it up. But it sure works for this picture.

  • This has a nice Golden Age flair to it, as well as some nice military touches.

  • No-nonsense superheroism.

  • If I met this woman in the real world and she told my fortune, I'd believe every word she said. Love that leather, too.

  • I thought the spats were a nice touch, LOL. I also find the art slightly dieselpunk.

  • Bullets and champagne.

  • I wouldn't mind wearing this on a cruise ship.....to an alternate earth, of course.

  • I love asymmetry. It's done really nicely here.

  • Basic black badness.

  • Real drama. A striking look.

  • Queenly asymmetry.

  • I've always liked her hood. Or hat. Or umbrella. Whatever.

  • Another nice hat.

  • What's cool about this look is that it integrates a dress with a tattoo of a snake that wraps around her body. The dress is designed to show off the tattoo. It's really nice and quite original.

  • Tastefully badass. I dig that latex attitude.

  • Overall great style. Nice combo of male and female design esthetics.

  • I confess a weakness for badass style.

  • Definitely the best mask I've seen.

  • I just love a getup that conveys both strength and psychosis.

  • This is cool, definitely. Spacey, futuristic, retro cool.

  • Nothin' like a fine suit.

  • No problem protecting your secret identity in this getup.

  • Some superheroes wear outfits that can stop traffic. Speedy, on the other hand, wears an oufit that can DIRECT traffic. Nice hood, too.

  • Contemporary tailored edginess.

  • Well this is pretty cool. It sure has the right attitude.

  • Sort of a European jewel thief Diabolik type thing.

  • What a fab outfit. I'm just wondering why her nipples are so swollen.

  • Sometimes all I can say is, "Only in the comics."

  • This looks like a real pain in the neck to get in and out of. But it's definitely worth it.

  • This is a great spooky look.

  • I'd love to wear this walking around New York. Without the snakes, though.

  • What the well-dressed superheroine was wearing in the pre-Titanic days.

  • Cute outfit. I like the way the cape is draped on her shoulders.

  • Oh my! Here we have an entire family of fashionistas, each one more stunning than the next. I think every one of them is absolutely smashing. One year on Halloween I went out dressed as Wednesday, and my best friend (female) was sport enough to go as Pugsly. We carried pillow cases that were full of weapons -- knives, axes, bombs, bottles of poison, etc. We had soooo much fun being bad children. And we had fun being fashionable, too.

  • Contemporary meets Victorian. Pretty classy.

  • Here's a look for business -- if the business is putting the bad guys in their place.

  • Stately wickedness.

  • Uber-cool with the trenchcoat, with or without the hat.

  • I love a good hat.

  • My weekend style.

  • Is this Emma Frost on this cover? She's wearing one classy outfit. She looks good with clothes on. She should wear them more often.

  • Retro-fabulous.

  • An industrial take on the classic garters and stockings look.

  • I own a pair of boots that look a lot like these. I wear them when I go out crime-fighting, lol.

  • The most amusing idea for a superhero outfit I've ever seen. What really makes it is the smiley-face on her navel.

  • Some retro-futurist style.

  • For some reason, this strikes me as a great outfit to sing opera in.

  • Walking out of the house in this would sure take guts. Worth it, though.

  • Distinguished and mysterious.

  • High fashion meets street-tough.

  • What the well-dressed executioner is wearing this year.

  • Here's an outfit that shows some courage - in more ways than one.

  • Probably uncomfortable, but it looks pretty slick.

  • Wow, what a knockout of a look this is!

  • Great tailoring meets elegance meets spirituality.

  • Bad girl fightin' style.

  • Bizarre, but interesting.

  • Simple, elegant, and exotic in an other-worldly way.

  • Industrial style for the brazen.

  • Here's an outfit that just does everything right.

  • Darkly designer.

  • Damn, this is smokin'!

  • Believe it or not, this is supposed to be warrior garb. What the character is wearing is effectively Victorian lingerie. But check out the head gear. It's really inventive. The band across her nose is a nice touch, too.

  • I'm not sure what to say about this, besides saying that nothing probably needs to be said about this.

  • Wow, this is beautiful.

  • This is the best version of Valkyrie's costume I've seen yet.

  • This outfit has some nice steampunk flair. And it's just real cool besides.

  • A bold approach to trenchcoat-dressing. And cute.

  • There's a lot of different design elements all going on at the same time here, but somehow they all come together into one cool outfit.

  • Nice crossing of coat and cape on this super-powered police officer.

  • This gets points for the coolness factor.

  • A slick, dramatic noir look -- with the added benefit of really cracking me up.

Cuckoo, Black Condor, Harbinger, Poison, and OMG "Whisper". Always loved the character design of those toons. Pushed the envelope on comic type looks at their time. Hard to come up with fresh takes on character designs and even if some of these toons are old school since their first appearances their looks still catch the eye. Great list keep it up dahling. Wink:)
