@cadencev2: Alright, let's get this started...hey, quality, not quantity, right?
“GZ alone could solo I think. Change my mind bro! ”
While I know GZ is a bad arse, I have some plans for him. Surprisingly, I find him the least worrisome to deal with out of your group. The Spawn's are the ones I find the most challenging, but I have some plans for them as well. Honestly though, these are probably the most two versatile teams in the tourney, and a great deal of creativity will be needed for this bout. Should be fun brother man=)
"Im going to sate, for this match, we are not planning to limit out summonings are are? You have Darklings, I have a surprise....."
Jackie hasn't been limited on his summonings for some time now, so I wasn't going to bring up anything in regards to limits. And I am sure we both have more than our fair share of surprises to bring to the table.
Normally, I'd start with a nice, detailed intro for my characters, but since there are four of them, we'll just run with the quick basics, and lay out the initial strategy.
Just to get this out of the way, this version of Jackie will be referred to as “Jackie D”. The “D” stands for “doppleganger”, and I think Jackie D has a better ring to it than dopple-Jackie. So, basically Jackie on his 21st birthday had the power of the Darkness awakened within him. What is the Darkness(?):
After some whacky adventures, and Jackie being involved in an incident that rewrote reality with Jackie making a few changes here and there, Jackie was able to get the Darkness removed from him. The problem was, all Jackie did was pretty much remove all that was evil from him, and all that was of the Darkness. This resulted in the creation of Jackie D, which is still basically Jackie, but is not human, and is pure Darkness. So it's Jackie, but it's not. Now, there are a lot of theoretical aspects to Jackie D, and to be honest, not a lot of it can be proven. So for this discussion, what can factually be proven will be brought to the forefront, the rest will be based on the OG's feats, Jackie. Let us start with the biggest, provable difference between Jackie, and Jackie D. You know that little light weakness problem? Jackie D doesn't have to worry about it:
So before any plans get made on using a little magic to flood the area with light, let's be clear that Jackie D doesn't suffer from the light. Now, the OG had become light resistant, but Jackie D is light immune. Let's also settle up the score on one more thing: While Downing may have a few tricks in dealing with the shadows, those shadows belong to Jackie D here. Downing may not like what he finds when he tries stepping through a shadow...
The Darkness is a power of primordial creation. It is older than the light, and is an abstract force. As such, Jackie D can do a lot with it, but we will get to that in a bit.
Sara with the Witchblade:
One of my number one comic girls of all time. Sara Pezzini wielding the Witchblade. What is the Witchblade(?):
This little child of abstracts is probably one of the most adaptable weapons in all of comicdom, and can basically adapt to its foes, and create new powers based on the situation. To keep things fair though, I won't argue the unseen and unknown. I'll stick with proven and shown powers and abilities, which will give me more than enough based on its showings. Just remember, the Witchblade's powers are not based on the bearer. They are based on the situation and what is needed. So you may see a few scenes with bearer's that are not Sara, but all scenes will be canon to main Witchblade story, and as such, are usable sources for the showings of the WB itself.
This is pretty much a tie for my favorite comic girl of all time with Sara. Yowsa...anyhow, Aspen is a member of two underwater races, the Blue and the Black. As such, she has the powers of an Elite Blue, which allows her control of all water. Her control exceeds even that of those experienced Elite Blue. To top it off, she also has the power of the Black, which affords her powers of energy manipulation. For the most part, she has peak human physicals, with supersonic reaction timing, and a travel speed through the water that is in the hypersonic range.
This is the character that I am weakest in knowledge-wise, and my opponent probably has more information regarding this guy than I do. That being said, we'll work it as best we can here. The good thing about having him on my team is that he has fairly intimate knowledge on the Spawn's, and has fought pretty evenly with them. He has also been able to beat down the Redeemer, has been able to put the beat down on the original Spawn, and has the all important telepathic abilities. His knowledge and power set will be invaluable throughout this fight.
Now for the strategy stuff...
First, let's get my perk out there:
- WTF is this? Magic? - Defies your sense of logic? Supernatural rules getting you down? Gain the ability to see, harm, or resistance of Dr. Strange, or Dr. Fate themselves. Does not apply to Magical Mental Attacks.
Should be handy against the Spawns=)
Aspen Matthews Strategy:
So, we have five minutes. More than enough time for Aspen to go water form, tap into the water that is so conveniently lapping on the shores near the location, and doing a little of this:
Which results in this:
That was done rather quickly in the book, so 5 minutes should suffice. Now that we have brought some water to the battlefield, Aspen should have plenty to play with. She can create shielding to protect any members of my crew that are left standing in the starting spot to protect them from GZ's initial onslaught, and then she will go hunting with the Violator for Invincible. Good news is, for that fight, she'll most likely be in this form, as stated above:
And she doesn't have to worry about tagging Mark directly, as the attack will come from all around:
I understand that he can hold his breath for a long time, but if he hasn't taken a complete deep breath then the water bubbles around the head might be an issue, especially if she starts pushing the water towards his lungs. In reality though, this is mainly to keep him occupied, while Violator does his thing.
Jackie D Strategy:
Ole' Jackie D here...what ever shall he do? Well, for one, did you know that there are different power levels and strengths and abilities of Darklings? So for sure, he'll create some of these guys:
And he can create a lot of them in no time:
But they come in all different shapes and sizes:
They themselves can teleport and use various darkness powers, and can act independently of Jackie D:
And Jackie D can also create dopplegangers of himself, so you'll never really know just who you are fighting:
This gets me to his strategy. The shadows are covered, and intel will be coming in from Jackie's darklings. Everyone will have darklings with them, in them, on them, and around them, and as such, should either of the Spawns go for a BFR, these little buggers can teleport them and bring them back. Once the fight starts, Jackie D will be sending out dopplegangers and darklings to engage Simmons and Downing. He'll aid in healing to keep my team up and running, and will send more troops to assist my team members where needed, and using the shadows, will keep tabs on everyone in the battlefield.
Sara get's what at first may seem to be a daunting task. She get's to lay the smackdown on GZ. The bigger they are, the harder they fall...anyhow, giant monsters are just another Monday to the Witchblade:
Though, Sara won't be taking the direct route down GZ's mouth. Remember those pesky Darklings? They will teleport Sara directly inside the exceedingly visible GZ, thus bypassing the teeth and atomic breath, and she will tear him up from the inside. Not to mention, there will be Darklings also chowing down in there, and will continue to eat their fill of a neverending and self-regenerating buffet, thus keeping him down for the count (though I'll lay out some more plans for GZ in another post though). Once she finishes up there, she will go off to help someone take down a Spawn, and can also aid in the healing of fallen team members.
For the initial outing with Violator here, his first job is to turn Invincible into a handy little meat puppet while Aspen has him distracted:
His telepathic control is a wonderful thing. Once Invincible is turned, he'll go Spawn hunting=)
Alright, there is the opener and strategy. Let's see how well you can screw my plans up!
