My Fan-Fic JLA

JUSTICE LEAGUE of AMERICA: The Ultimate team from my forthcoming fan-fic. These are members of a future fan-fic I am planning. Several changes are made to some. Others are pretty much as they appear in comics. They are super heroes from several different companies, not just DC. Pic of this team in my images.

List items

  • The man who brings it all together. Doctor Clark Savage is one of the most brilliant minds on the planet. Plus in my universe he is the one who mentored a young alien child named Clark(after Doc) Kent. Doc even gave his arctic Fortress of Solitude to the young hero.

  • The Ghost Who Walks is a legend. The first costumed hero in history. The general populace think he is immortal.

  • The world's first super-hero, in fact the term is coined after him. A powerful alien orphan, raised by a midwest couple to use his great abilities to help his fellow man.

  • Bruce Wayne has a mission. He is one of the most mortal of the members of the team, and yet, one of the most intimidating. Not always in love with the idea of the JLA, mainly sticks around to keep an eye on things.

  • Wesley Dodds has dreams, very strange dreams of a terrible apocalyptic future. His dreams give him gifts to combat this though. Training in this dream world to peak physical perfection, becoming an expert fighter, and even inventing a chemical "sand" that puts people to sleep, Wesley wakes to become the Sandman, Master of Dreams, Nightmare to Evil-Doers.

  • James(Jimmy Hammond) is son of the brilliant S.T.A.R. labs scientist, Ezekiel Hammond, and is a pilot for S.H.I.E.L.D. While he and 2 other Shield pilots(Steve Trevor & Hal Jordan) are investigating a strange energy phenomenon in the Bermuda Triangle, said energy causes the planes to crash. Jimmy's plane bursts in to flames before it hits the ocean. Jimmy is burnt alive. When his body is returned to HQ, his father quickly acts, using alien tech he has built a synthezoid. Molding said Synthezoid to look just like Jimmy, Dr. Hammond tranfers Jimmy's brain patterns to the creature. Jimmy awakes to find himself alive, almost. What the scientist father did not know was the Kree, whose tech he has used, put a bobby trap in that would cause the creature to burst into flames in the air. Once Jimmy does this he freaks out due to his memories of his fiery death. Thus is born the Human Torch. Jimmy eventually gains control of his abilities and uses them for the good of mankind.

  • Born to an Atlantean mother and surface dwelling father, Prince Namor is a mutant, and even more powerful than his under-water breathern. At first Namor is angry with his father's people and attacks, only to be put to the test by a young Clark Kent, and then befriended by same. The papers dub Clark "Super-Boy" and the young Namor, the Sub-Mariner. Now Sub-Mariner tries to protect his mother's world, while understanding that of his father's.

  • Jim is one of the best detectives in New York. Hot on the trail of the top crime boss, known only as the Red Hood. James busts a job at the Osborne Chemical plant, only to realize he was set up by the Red Hood, and is shot and dumped in a vat of chemicals to be killed. But death isn't the end. James hears a voice telling him he has a mission to stop the evils of the world and see that they are punished. He is transformed in to the Spirit of Vengeance, the Spectre. As the Spectre one of his first tasks is to punish the man who took his life. He whisks the Red Hood to the same chemical plant and drops him into the same vat and leaves the villain to die. Unknown to the Spectre, the Red Hood, also hears a voice, as the chemicals disfigure the villain and drives him insane, he hears and evil laughing, and is told he, too, has a mission, to become the ultimate messenger of chaos. Thus a pale figure climbs from the vat, a new creature known now as the Joker!

  • Rex "Tick-Tock" Tyler is a brilliant chemist working for Osborne Chemical on a secret project to create something akin to the "Super-soldier" serum used to create Captain America. Tyler creates a drug he dubs Miraclo that gives him amazing strength and stamina for 60 minute intervals. When he demonstrates it for Norman Osborne and some investors they are amazed, but the drug had been designed to interact with Tyler's DNA, and must be designed to interact with each individual's DNA to get the same results. The investors say it isn't cost effective. Norman fires Tyler on the spot saying he was supposed to be the "Man of the hour, but instead was a waste of time and resources. Tyler is dejected at first, but on his way home, still amped from his dose of Miraclo, uses it to stop the villain, the Fiddler, from robbing a jewelry store. Tyler loves the feeling it gave him, but realizing he could be sued by Osborne for using the Miraclo drug, he devises a costumed identity and even advertises that anyone needing help could call on Hourman, Man of the Hour for assistance. Tyler also gets a job with Wayne Enterprises. Shortly after his debut he is invited by Doc Savage to help found the JLA.

  • Denny Colt is a private detective and a bit of a dreamer and some would say a conspiracy theorist. Denny is down on his luck because the clients aren't pouring in. Deciding he needs to do something big to make a name for himself, he decides to discover who the new Kingpin of Crime is since the disappearance of the Red Hood. Most folks don't even believe a "Kingpin" exists, but not Denny. Denny succeeds all too well when he uncovers businessman, Wilson Fisk as said Kingpin, but also manages to get captured by said Kingpin , in doing so. Denny is tied-up and introduced to the coroner, who happens to be in Kingpin's pocket. Kingpin has the doctor shoot Denny up with an experimental paralytic drug that will make Denny appear to have died in his office of natural causes, to which the coroner will concur and then dispose of Denny. While in the coroner's office, the coroner, having been blackmailed by the Kingpin, and not a bad guy, revives Denny instead of killing him so that Denny can leave town, but Denny decides to "stay dead" and go after Kingpin and criminals everywhere as a "Spirit." Denny dons a simple mask, dressed in some 1930's type detective clothing and sets out on his task, even creating a crime lab in a mausoleum in a cemetary(thanks to donations from the many people who the Kingpin(and the Red Hood before him) have made their lives miserable. The Spirit is a bit clumsy and a bit of a nut, but is very determined and tough and seems to always come out ahead. Even fellow member Batman has gained respect for him.

  • A young Kent and his father open an ancient Egyptian Crypt. Strange ethers kill Kent's father. The crypt holds an ancient being known as Nabu the Wise. Nabu takes the child and trains him to become the sorcerer supreme of Earth. Doctor Fate is the being tasked with keeping the balance between the lords of order and those of chaos. Fate comes into conflict with other members due to the fact the he only acts if said balance is in jeopardy.

  • Magno is a mysterious hero who is the master of magnetism. Seemingly appearing out of nowhere and giving several different origin stories causes him to be on the Batman's radar. He is one of the founding members of the team.

  • Bob Blake is down on his luck, and volunteers for experimentation on himself at Oscorp, the newly reformed Osborne Chemical. A chemical engineer working for Norman Osborne, by the name of Harry Thurston injects Bob with a serum made from the miraclo idea of fired employee, Rex Tyler. When Bob is injected he goes into convulsions, as the men try to hold him on the gurney, he turns into a puddle of water! Norman, who is present, just says to clean up the mess and go back to the drawing board. Thurston, who had warned Norman of the dangers, feels awful about the young man, and sucks up all the liquid that was once Bob, to be given a decent burial. A few hours later, with Harry still in the lab bemoaning what he has done is shocked when the vat holding the liquid turns over and reforms into the human form of Bob Blake. Bob & Harry decide never to let the evil CEO know about what has happened, and Bob decides to create a costume and fight crime and evil corporations as Hydroman. Bob can turn all or part of himself into water, even becoming a geyser of incredible force. He can also increase his power with any other sources of water. Hydroman is one of the founding members of the JLA.

  • David Merryweather is a man who has inherited great wealth and lives a life of great leisure. One of his greatest interests is hunting, for which he travels the world, going after the most dangerous and rare creatures he can find. Just when he thinks he has succeeded bagging every great animal, he comes across a strange monk in Burma, who tells him the tale of the fabled Golden Cat. A ferocious beast who has never been caught, or even seen by any who lived to tell the tale. The monk tells the great hunter that the beast is very rare, only two living at a time. David's men tell him it is a foolish fairy tale, but David becomes obsessed going deeper and deeper into the Burman jungle, so deep that finally his men call him mad and leave him to go on his own. David finally finds the male Golden Cat, but it has been caught in a trap by poachers, who shoot it dead. David incensed that someone else bagged the animal before him, and so unsportsmanlike, in his opinion, that he attacks the men. The men stab him and then put his leg in the trap the cat had been in and leave him for dead. As David is lying near death he sees the female Golden Cat approaching. He braces himself for her attack, but she does not, only sits looking at him. Then she speaks to him, telling him that now she is the last of her kind since her mate is now dead and they had not had a cub yet. David thinks he must be hallucinating due to his condition, then the Cat uses her large paw to release David from the trap and licks his wounds, which seems to heel with each lick. The Cat tells Merryweather that Golden Cats are not normal beasts but mystical beasts, like Dragons and Unicorns, that have died out over the centuries to to the ignorance of men like him. David tells her he is very sorry. The She-cat tells him, if not those men, would it have not been you who would have killed me or my mate? David tells her she is right, he had come to do just that, but now he realizes his whole life of hunting had been for mere pleasure, and wrong. The She-Cat tells David he may avenge his past mistakes by helping her recover her mate's body, and vanquish the evil men who killed him. David does just that, with a fury unknown to him previously, he and the She-cat kill the men. As David holds her mates body out to her, the She-cat tells him that he has earned the right to wear his golden coat. She tells him that it why her kind has always been hunted, because the coat of a golden cat gives the wearer the fabled nine lives of a cat, and for helping her, he has earned that right. In a ceremony, David removes the coat of the dead male and buries his body. He says goodbye to the she-cat, and returns to America. Once home David decides to make a costume, using the cat's hide, and become Catman, and hunt the most dangerous prey of them all, Man. Catman can be volatile at times and doesn't always get along with his fellow JLA'ers, especially Batman, who belittles him, and has even called him a blatant rip-off of himself.

  • Steve Rogers is a legend. In my universe he is the only costumed hero(other than the Phantom) who was active during WWII. But Cap is found frozen in ice by his friend Nick Fury, now leader of Shield. Cap is alive and is amazed at this new world he finds himself in. A "cosmic rod" that can draw the ancient cosmic energies of the universe and allow him to do amazing things. A quiet man, but always interested in so many things. One day he hears a man from S.T.A.R. labs talking about trying to re-discover the super-soldier formula. Bob is intrigued and decides to work on the same thing in his spare time. Bob's brilliance shines through as he develops Formic Ethers, a chemical that gives him far superior physical abilities than even the Super-Soldier formula. Seeing how costumed beings are fighting crime Bob makes a costume to strike fear in the hearts of criminals, like Batman, and becomes the Black Terror. Being a combo of Cap, Supes, and Bats, aand a dedicated student, he studies all the heroes to become a paragon, and is rewarded when Cap invites him, along with Starman, to be the first recruits for the Shield-led JLA.

When they were attacked by Hercules and his men; Queen Hypolyta even being raped by said Olympian; fellow Olypian, Aphrodite, along with other goddesses like Athena and Hera, gave the Amazons a new home, Paradise Island, so they could live in peace from mankind and flourish. Diana's mother is not very pleased when she presents to her the injured pilot. Diana pleads with her mother to let the man heal. During this time Diana feels things for Trevor that she had never experienced, and tells her mother the island needs to reconnect with the rest of the world by sending a diplomat to man's world with the pilot. Diana wishes to be this ambassador. The Queen tells her daughter this is a good idea, but that the princess will not be the one joining the man in his return. • Jethro Dumont is entrenched in the pull and tug of modern life, but on a trip to China, when he is attacked and left for dead in the Gobi desert, he realizes life is fleeting and stays with the strange monks who rescue him. While the outside world perceive them to be normal Buddhist monks, Dumont finds out they are much more. They are a sect created by the "ancient one" to hone man's abilities for the end times. Jethro stays with them and grows to peaks in mind and body that many would find almost mystical. He especially seems to find attunement with flora to come very easily. One day the head Lama of this sect, known as Gajiins(the monks who saved Plastic Man were also Gajiins) comes to Jethro and says he has seen this life of peace and enlightenment is not the path for him. That Jethro must go back to his world and find that path. Jethro is not happy with this, but returns to his old life. Shortly after returning to the U.S. he witnesses an assassination attempt on Lex Luthor, and using his abilities, and still in his monk attire, he stops the assassins. The papers dub him a new super-hero, and call him the Green Lama. Dumont decides this will be his path, and mends his robes to a more fitting costume. He is also very leary of the Spectre, who he says only arrives when some great apocalypse is about to happen.

  • Dinah Drake, daughter of Greg Drake, a police detective, is very proud of her father, and wants to become a police officer like her dad. One night her and her father are relaxing at home only to be attacked by a super villain by the name of the Wizard, who her father had recently stopped from gaining an ancient mystical item. The Wizard knocks her father out and then puts a curse on Dinah, so that every sound she mutters would create a devastating sonic blast, to, as he says, take away what your father most loves, as he took away my chance at ultimate power. When her father recovers, he is visited by a group of Gajiin monks, who say they can take his daughter to the Ancient One, who may be able to help his afflicted daughter. Greg allows them to take Dinah. Dinah lives in the temple of the Ancient One, along with his students in the mystic arts, Kent Nelson, and Baron Mordru. The Ancient One teaches Dinah ancient martial arts and meditation, so she can gain control over her sonic scream, and actually use it to her advantage in battle. • About 20 years before the appearance of the JLA, there was another group of super-heroes, known as the Mighty Defenders. Among this group were Captain Comet, a mutant, with amazing mental and physical abilities; Wonder Man, Air Wave, The Ray, The Vision, the Blue Beetle, and Mister Terrific. They were short lived though, almost as soon as they came together they went to the town of Brinkhaven which was being attacked by a monstrous machine known only as NME. Just as it seemed the team had things under control, Brinkhaven blew up, destroying the city and the heroes, save for one. Comet survived, but knowing the truth of what happened that day caused him to leave the Earth. This disaster involving super-beings caused the U.S. government to first form the Super Human Investigation, Espionage, and Legalities Department, also known as S.H.I.E.L.D. to keep an eye on super beings. Years later Comet, still seeming just as youthful, due to his mutant nature, returns to Earth and is fooled into thinking the JLA are evil. At first an enemy of the JLA he soon realizes they are heroes. Comet tells the JLA the truth of that day. Wonder Man had been given his power by the Red Skull, who wanted to make fools of these new heroes by allowing wonder Man to know how to destroy NME, after allowing it to kill the others. It was only at the end that Wonder Man realizes he doesn't want his new found friends killed, so he destroys NME, only to discover Red Skull's real plan all along was to use Wonder Man to destroy the team by over loading him with Ionic power, which is really what caused the explosion that destroyed the team and the town. Captain Comet has hesitation about joining a new team, but soon relents and joins. The reader sees the Red Skull watching all this via his cosmic cube and laughing.

  • Roger Wright is a brilliant scientist at STAR labs a division of Shield, of which his brother William is an agent for their military branch. Roger finds out terrorists have kidnapped and are torturing his bro Bill and want the plans to Roger's newest invention, the Starjet, a super fast flying vehicle that can come to a dead stop and hover, as well as be invisible to all known forms of radar, sonar, or other known detection device. Roger, who is himself a former Shield agent, decides if the terrorists want the Starjet he'd give it to them. Nick fury, new commander of Shield tells Wright that Shield will handle it and he better not see Wright, or his starjet anywhere near Afghanistan where his brother is being held. Roger then takes up a disguise and uses the Starjet and other inventions of his to go to Afghanistan. Unfortunately the terrorists have already killed Bill when he arrives, but Wright, as the Avenger, destroys all remains of the kidnappers hideout, which as it turns out is in Pakistan, not Afghanistan(where Shield is). In his attack the Avenger takes out Osama bin Laden, the man behind his brother's kidnapping, and also rescues a fellow hostage, industrialist, Tony Stark. Stark tells Wright that William died a hero. Crimes of murder and terrorism must be avenged... be glad there is an Avenger! The Avenger is a little more heavy handed than a lot of the members, but becoming an instant hero with the public by killing bin Laden and rescuing Tony Stark, the public demands him to have a JLA membership and Doc and Cap welcome him on board. It was some time after the Avenger learns he played a role in the origin of another hero.

  • Long before intelligent life emerged on Earth, Mars was a flourishing planet. Home to a white-skinned race of beings with extreme telepathic abilities. They were infiltrated by the shape-changing race of beings known as the Skrull, who mated with several of the martians to create a mutant race of green skinned martians. The Skrull planned on using the green martians to make Mars part of their empire, but the green martians were too pwerful to control, not only having the telepathic abilities of the white martians(but to a lesser extent), but also the shape changing abilities of the Skrull(also to a lesser extent), but they also had super-strength that was beyond anything either race could do, flight, invisibility, intangibility, and other abilities. The Green martians forced the Skrull to leave Mars alone. At first the white martians accepted the green, but soon they feared them due to how powerful they were. The Greens were so powerful they came to the attention of the Celestrials, a group of ancient ones, that judged different new races. They deemed the greens to be dangerous, so they tagged the race with a mental impairment that caused a crippling fear of fire, and deemed this an easy way to keep such powerful beings in check. Soon after this the whites used this new weakness to control and even enslave the greens. Mars became a great civilized world eventually. The slavery issue was banned, but the greens still met with racist attitudes. One green,J'onn J'onzz, did not let that stop him, and rose in the ranks of the Manhunters, a government group that went after "irregulars." J'onn was the only green to rise so high in the ranks, much to the disdain of his commander, Ben Blanx, a white martian. J'onn eventually discovers Blanx had been working on a way to cause a race war to cause the re-enslavement of the greens by assassinating a leading White politician and framing a green martian for it. J'onn tries to stop the assasination, but it succeeds and Blanx frames J'onn for it. J'onn is sentenced to the Negative Zone, an extra-dimensional shift that allows the prisoner to see and hear what goes on in our plane but being invisible and intangible to all. Once in the negative zone he sees Ben Blanx also is working on a secret weapon to use against the greens, but when the weapon is used it solidifies Mars' molten core, which cause Mars to lose it's Magnetic field, causing the destruction of the planet. J'onn can only watch as his world becomes a cold dead planet. Ages pass, on Earth. a astronomer named Saul Erdel is watching a strange light in the sky(same one as Ted Knightsees years later) and is hit by the same light. When he comes out of his coma he creates a device that allows him to teleport through a dimensional shift to anywhere in the solar system, but since he will basically be a phantom, he will not be harmed. Dr. Erdel decides to test the device on himself and shifts to the planet Mars. He is amazed at the red planet, but is even more amazed when he meets J'onn. He is even more amazed when he realizes J'onn can see and is talking to him via telepathy. Startled by this Dr. Erdel shuts down the machine. but is even more startled when he realizes his machine has released J'onn from the negative zone and brought him to Earth with him. In fact, the elder Erdel is so startled he has a heart attack and dies in the alien's arms. J'Onn spends decades learning about his new home, using his abilities to take different indentities, starting with Dr. Erdel, himself. Recently J'Onn takes on the I.D. of a police detective, seeing it as the closest equivalent to a Martian Manhunter. Calling himself John Jones, he secretly uses his abilities to fight crime. somehow Ben Blanx has survived the holocaust from thousand years earlier and has gone insane from lack of intelligent contact. Over the years Blanx tries to figure out the reason for his weapon causing such havoc, the "key" to what happened, eventually becoming obsessed with finding the "key." During a mission by the JLA they accidentally bring Blanx to Earth, where as "the Key" he runs amok until stopped by J'Onn in his Martian Manhunter garb. The JLA invited the Martian Manhunter to join them, which he does.

  • Barry Allen has always been slow and clumsy, while his brother Rob had always been a sports-hero, Barry was a bookworm. Always looking up to his older brother, and always wanting the respect of his policeman father, Barry just didn't seem to come from behind his brother's shadow. Rob would join the police force like his father, while Barry didn't even make it into the academy. Barry used his brilliant mind to become a police scientist, but even that didn't seem to please his father, who called him a "squint" as in squinting into a microscope. One day as Barry is logging in some illegal chemicals brought in by some JLA members when they busted Norman Osborne for illegal chemicals and human experimentation, Barry is taking a break, reading his favorite comic about a super fast superhero who wears a Mercury-like helmet and called the Flash, even though not real like Superman or Captain America, the Flash is still Barry's favorite. With a storm raging outside(to which Barry doesn't seem to notice, suddenly a flash of lightning bursts through the window blasting some of the chemicals all over Barry. Barry seems find, but is ordered to the hospital. Griping in the rain, trying to flag a cab to go to the hospital(none of the cps would give him a ride), Barry tries to run after a cab that went right past him and splashed him, only to discover he has ran right past the speeding cab. Deducing that the electrified chemicals had somehow given him tremendous super-speed, Barry is thrilled. He uses his know-how as a scientist and a comic book fan to come up with a costume and takes the name of his hero, the Flash. No superhero enjoys being a superhero more than the Flash, it is a dream come true. He joins the team just as the Red Skull makes his return and tries to destroy the League with the cosmic cube. The Flash runs faster than he ever has up to that point, finally moving so fast he is able to shift the Red Skull from our dimension before he can even make a thought to attack Flash. At this point Captain America takes the cosmic cube, and for a moment thinks of having it return his side-kick, Bucky, back to life, but instead wishes the cube to no longer exist, at which point the cube ceases to exist. When the heroes gather together to celebrate their new member's victory, Doc Savage interrupts and tells them the real reason he formed the League in the first place. He has reason to believe that the Earth will soon be invaded by aliens, and has spent his life researching any aliens who have come to Earth, including Superman and Martian Manhunter, and he thinks another race, who he believes has been to Earth in the past, is soon to return.

  • Hal Jordan was one of those 3 SHIELD pilots on that fateful day 2 years earlier in the Bermuda Triangle. When the Amazon mystical barrier cause Trevor and Hammond to crash, Jordan was spared when his plane was hit by a green light and he was transported to the American western desert by an alien named Abin Sur who was dying. Abin told Jordan that he was part of the Green Lantern Corps and had been fighting with an evil alien named Rhomann Dey in Earth's orbit. He said he had dispatched Dey, but not before Dey delivered a death blow to him. Abin had his ring search the world for someone honest and fearless enough to become the next Green Lantern. Hal was given the power ring and the Lantern battery. Abin dyed and Hal used the ring to bury the alien and to hide his crashed space craft. He then flew to the Atlantic, but could not find Steve Trevor, but used his ring to retrieve Jim Hammond's body, then flew his body back to SHIELD in his plane. Hal then quit SHIELD, and was about to start a new life when he was hit by another green light and transported to OA, home of the Guardians of the Universe, a group of ancient ones, who had founded and powered the GL corps. The Guardians weren't pleased with Jordan being picked without them, at first, but when Hal save the Guardians and the central power battery from a renegade Lantern by the name of Sinestro, the Guardians accept him and allow him to remain a Green Lantern. Hal had been gone for about 2 years with his training on OA. He returns to Earth just in time to be recruited by the JLA during the Kree invasion.

  • Katar Hol is a Thanagarian Warrior-Priest and comes to Earth trailing a Skrull spy. Early as he battles the Skrull, who has turned into a huge dragon like creature, Katar is injured, and is taken in by the local Museum director Jonathan "Speed" Saunders, and his daughter, Shiera Saunders. Katar tells to 2 of them his tale, and while he is regaining his strength Shiera gives him a tour of the museum, at one point showing him the blade of Horus. When they both touch the blade, they see a vision of a past life in ancient Egypt. The Pharaoh has gathered 3 young people who are turning 21 to be tested by Nabu, the wise one, as has always been done to earn a young Egyptian's adulthood. The 3 are Khufu, son of the pharaoh(who is Katar in a past life), Teth-Adam, son of the pharaoh's leading general, & Shayera, daughter of the pharaoh's most trusted counsel(who is Shiera in a past life). Nabu tells the 3 not only will this be a test to reach their adulthood, but whoever wins the test will be given the "prize of all glory." Nabu sends each youth on a hunt for a mystical item. He tells them the first to retrieve their item and return it to him will be the winner. Nabu, who is actually the Champion, the protector of the universe, is looking for someone to replace him as such. Nabu sends Prince Khufu after the Blade of Horus, a weapon that can kill any enemy. He sends Shayera after the Amulet of Isis, which can grant eternal life. Teth-Adam is dispatched to retrieve the Scarab of Anubis, which can grant ultimate power. Teth-Adam decides that instead of just finding one of the items, he would get all 3, so he follows Shayera on her task. Meanwhile Khufu finds his item and goes to look for Shayera, who he has been having a secret affair with for some time and is deeply in love with. As Shayera finds the Amulet of Isis, Teth-Adam comes up behind her and grabs the Amulet, which is on a chain necklace, and uses the chain to strangle the girl. Teth-Adam hears Khufu approaching and hides. Khufu enters and sees Shayera laying lifeless. He drops the blade and runs to her side. As Khufu is holding the near lifeless Shayera, Teth-Adam sneaks up and uses the blade of Horus and plunges it into the back of the Prince. Shayera with her dying strength, reaches up and touches the amulet hanging from Teth-Adam's neck while also holding the hand of her love. She looks in Teth-Adams's eyes and tells him her and her love will gain their revenge in the next life. Teth-Adam leaves the 2 to die and finally goes after his item. He finds it deep in a pyramid. A beautiful Azure colored carved scarab, but as he reaches for it, the scarab appears to come to life and burrows in the sand out of his reach. Teth-Adam discovers Nabu is the one who has done this, and is told by Nabu that he knows of his treachery. Nabu tells Teth-Adam that he may have gained immortality, but he will spend it buried here. Nabu leaves and the pyramid crumbles down on top of a screaming Teth-Adam. Katar and Shiera awake and both realize they had experienced the same dream. They deduce that they are the reincarnations of the Prince and his lover. Katar realizes that he is now deeply and love with this earth woman, and vice-versa. Katar defeats the Skrull Spy, but decides to remain on Earth to be with Shiera. He takes on the Earth guise of Carter Hall, taking over as curator for Speed Saunders who retires. He continues to fight evil on Earth as Hawkman, whom the papers have dubbed him due to his Thanagarian outfit. Due to the Nth Metal(pure Vibranium)in his wings and outfit, Hawkman can defy gravity and fly. It also gives him great stregth and risitance to injury. Due to a mind reading machine in his ship, he also knows a great deal of knowledge of Earth and it's languages. Hawkman is soon taking the lead, with the JLA, in the Kree war. The Thanagarian-lead Federation has always been enemies of the war mongering Kree Empire, as well as Skrull Empire, and Hawkman's knowledge is key to their defeat. It is also during this time that Hawkman meets his eternal enemy, who has gone by many names over the years, Teth-Adam, Vandal Savage, Ra's al Ghul, Kobra, and finally, when he gains the power of Nabu, now the Ancient one, by saying his true name, Shazam, becomes Black Adam.

  • Ray Palmer is a graduate student studying physics when he discovers at a meteorite crash site a small amount of substance that is more dense and massive than its size would seem to indicate. Ray has long had a theory that there had been a smaller more finite universe that was much more dense, and that something had caused the "big bang" and the universe to start on its current perpetual expansion. Studying the substance, he uses it to create a lens that when bathed in ultra-violet light causes anything that light shines on to skrink and become more dense, but the items always explode. One day while on a field trip with fellow students, they become trapped in a cave due to a rock slide. In order to save the others, Ray uses his lens to shrink himself, hoping he can get out and get help before he explodes. But something about Ray's genetic make-up allows him to survive. Ray then perfects his shrinking lens so that he can shrink even to a microscopic level. He also is able to control his mass, remaining his full 180 lbs or becoming virtually weightless. Ray's long-time love Jean Loring becomes a lawyer, and wanting to help her succeed in her career as a prosecutor, Ray takes on the superhero guise of the Atom, hoping once Jean is secure in her career she will agree to become his wife. Ray also becomes a Physics professor his self, and becomes one of the leading researchers in the field. The Atom is one of the heroes who the JLA recruits during the Kree Invasion.

  • Robert Bruce Banner is one of the leading scientists at STAR labs. He is also deeply in love with his assistant, Elizabeth (Betty) Ross, who happens to be the daughter of General Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross, former Director of SHIELD, now Secretary of SHIELD. Bruce is given the go ahead and full funding on his project of re-inventing the super-soldier serum that once created Captain America, much to the chagrin and jealousy of fellow STAR scientist Phil Selenski, who was hoping to get that funding for his project. Phil thinks Bruce only got his funding due to his relationship with Betty(the "boss' daughter"). In his anger he tampers with a gamma radiation machine that Banner is using in his experiments. Banner, not knowing of this tampering decides to experiment on himself with the help of Betty and William "Snapper" Jones(a young man Banner had taken in and giving a gopher job at STAR labs) due to the impending attack of the Labs by the Kree. Due to Selenski's tampering the Gamma levels are way too high and it causes a metamorphosis in Banner, he becomes a raging and hulking green beast that stops the Kree, but destroys STAR labs in the process. Snapper Jones seems to be able to calm the raging Hulk and together they escape. During the Kree invasion, the Hulk both helps and battles the JLA. The Justice League, thanks to Snapper's intervention realize that the Hulk is Banner, and decide to have him join them, even at the protest of SHIELD. The JLA decide the Hulk is better with them than against them.

  • Peter Parker is just a young man getting ready to graduate high school when he goes to a science exhibition at STAR labs and is bitten by a radioactive spider. Peter soon finds out he has been mutated and has gain the ability to stick to surfaces, incredible agility, amazing strength, and an almost psychic sense that warns him of danger. Peter decides to use his new found abilities to become a celebrity so he can earn money to help out his Uncle Ben & Aunt May, who have raised him. Being a science prodigy himself, Parker invents a substance very similiar to a spider's webbing, and designs "web-shooters" to disperse it. Sewing himself a costume, Parker disguises himself as Spider-Man and becomes a pro wrestler. At one of his matches, the boss Vance McKean, stiffs Parker on his money. As Parker is leaving he witnesses Vance getting robbed, and even though he could easily have stopped the robber, he doesn't due to being angry at McKean. When Peter arrives home he is told by his Aunt May and the police that his Uncle Ben had been shot by a car jacker. Peter uses his new-found abilities to hunt the killer down, only to discover that he is the same man that had robbed McKean earlier. The one Peter didn't stop when he had the chance. Peter contemplates killing the man, but hearing his Uncle's words in his head, "With great power, comes great responsibility, Peter turns him over to the police, and decides Spider-Man will become a force for good. During Peter's first few weeks as the costumed wall-crawler he amasses one of the greatest rouge's galleries of any super-heroes. One of his greatest foes, the Green Goblin, gathers together the "Evil Eight" consisting of himself, Electro, Vulture, Scorpion, Sandman, Mysterio, Doctor Octopus, & Rhino to destroy Spider-Man, but end up teaming with Spider-Man to battle Kree invaders. This teaming is short-lived, but Spider-Man is one of the heroes recruited for the JLA during this time.

  • In the beginning of the present universe, several beings remained from the previous universe. These would become known as the Ancient Ones. There were several groups formed by these beings, each group dealing with the evils released into the new universe. One group became known as the Gods, as they decided to live among the new races and have a more hands-on approach. There were several different families of these Gods, several of which ended up on Earth. One family were the Asgardians, ruled over by Odin. The Asgardians, like other Gods, let the beings on Earth worship them for their protection and direction, and lived in a pocket dimension, which was dubbed Asgard. Odin mated with a goddess from another family, Isis, and fathered his son Thor. Thor became the God of Thunder, and welded the hammer, Mjolnir. Odin wanted his son to take over for him one day as King of the Asgardians, but worried about Thor's stubbornness, pride, and his love for Midgard, which probably was because his mother, Isis, had given her life-force and melded with the Earth. Loki, a half-brother of Thor's, who was jealous of his father's love for him, and wanted Odin's crown for himself, as a God of Mischief, also would cause problems and frame Thor as being the cause. It was Loki who counseled Odin in how best to bring humility and reign in the wildness of the future king. Loki suggests Odin take away Thor's immortality and put him in mortal form, taking away any memory of Asgard. Odin does this turning Thor into the mortal Siegfried, who died due to the trickery of Loki. When Odin learned of Loki's treachery, he entraps him in a tree for centuries. Odin still thinks Loki's idea is a sound one, and keeps putting Thor's essence in mortals over the centuries. In modern times a lame surgeon, Donald Blake is the most recent mortal shell of Thor's. Over the years Odin has placed a disguised Mjolnir in Midgard. If the mortal Thor is at the time ever comes to find it, he will once again gain his godly standing. Donald Blake takes a trip to Norway just as a band of Kree attack there. While hiding in a cave, Donald is trapped by a cave-in caused by the Kree weapons. Donald uses a piece of wood he has found in the cave as a make-shift cane, and tries to dig himself out. Becoming frustrated he slams the piece of wood against the debris, which causes the mystic disguise to fall away. The cane becomes Mjolnir, and Donald Blake becomes Thor. As Thor, he escapes the cave and destroys the Kree fleet. He returns to the U.S. realizing that by striking Mjolnir on the ground he can transform back to mortal Donald Blake. At first he thinks that he only gains the power of Thor, but soon realizes he IS Thor. His father finally sends for him and explains what has happened and tells his son his time on Midgard is done and he can take his rightful place in Asgard. Thor, who as Blake is deeply in love with his nurse, Jane Foster, says his place is on Midgard protecting the mortals from the evil there, much to Odin's chagrin. Thor returns to his life on Earth. Thor joins the JLA during the Kree invasion, and becomes one of their leading members. Soon after, his brother Loki is released from his prison, and once again, causes problems for Thor, and the other JLA'ers.

  • Henry "Hank" Pym is a brilliant bio-physicist who works for Luthercorp. Lex Luthor has him working on research to discover the secret behind the powers of people born with them, known as mutants, and others who are mutated into super-beings later in life. Hank discovers what he deems as meta-genes in mutants' and mutates' DNA that seems to be responsible for the amazing abilities. Mutants seem to gain their powers during puberty, with some gaining them earlier usually during stress. Mutates seem to have recessive meta-genes that are activated for unknown reasons. Luthor is excited by Pym's discoveries and charges him with discovering a way to to give powers to normal people, due to Lex's fear of being overrun by super-beings. Pym is able to invent a chemical compound he dubs Pym Particles, which when introduced to the DNA can cause powers, but he discovers if it is introduced to someone who doesn't have the meta-gene, can cause a horrible "genetic breakdown." So far Pym's experiments have only been done on cell samples, but he knows Luthor will want human experimentation soon. Pym goes to talk to Luthor, not sure if he is going to tell him his discoveries or not. Before entering Lex's office, he overhears Luthor talking to someone on the phone, telling the person that soon they will be able to create their own super-powered operatives to destroy the JLA. Fearful of this, Hank runs back to his lab to destroy all his research and the samples of the Pym particles, but Lex has been keeping an eye on Hank and has his security try to stop Pym, but are too late Pym has destroyed everything. Lex is so angry he hits Pym over the head with a metal cylinder which just about kills the young scientist. Luthor tells his security men to take him and dump him in the river. As the men drive the van to the river to dump the near lifeless Pym, something starts happening to Pym. When Pym was destroying everything, the only way he could get rid of the only existing sample of the Pym particles was to inject them in his self, knowing that if he didn't have a meta-gene in his make-up it meant certain death. Luckily he does have a meta-gene and it has been activated giving his body the ability to gain extra-dimensional mass and grow to enormous proportions. The rapid growth of the still unconscious Pym causes the van to go out of control and plummet into the river. The two security men are killed in the crash, but the water revives the now huge Pym, who makes it to the shore. Pym stumbles about in the woods for a time until he gains enough mental control to shrink back to his normal size. He goes home vowing revenge on Luthor and his kind for his greed and blaming him for the death of the 2 security men and leaving Hank, himself, for dead. It is the idea of Janet Van Dyne, Pym's rich girlfriend, who comes up with the idea of Pym becoming a super-hero and names him Giant-Man(Pym wanted to call himself Goliath, but Janet reminds him Goliath was a bad guy). (Pym is never Ant-Man in my universe). As Giant-Man, Hank is key in destroying another Luthor installation that has captured several mutants and is experimenting on them. Janet also uses her wealth to set Pym up with his own private lab. Even though Pym prefers the lab, Janet keeps encouraging him to venture out as Giant-Man to battle super-villains. In one adventure, when Giant-Man is captured by a foe, Janet injects herself with Pym particles and mutates into the Wasp. Hank afterwards admonishes her for doing so, telling her she could just as easily died, but Janet tells him that is what life is all about, "taking chances", and afterwards becomes his partner in crime-fighting. Giant-Man is one of the new members recruited during the Kree invasion.

  • Doctor Phil Selenski gets funding for his project after the Hulk debacle. Selenski has developed a machine that can gather light through wormholes allowing to, as he says it, "peer at the dawn of the big bang." During a test run of his machine the STAR labs facility comes under fire by HYDRA. Security protocols cause a lock down which seals Selenski in the room with the machine, and won't allow the machine to be shut down. Selenski's machine works even better than even he dreamed, unfortunately for him. Not only does it allow him to view through to the beginnings of time, but allows quantum amounts of energy to flow through vaporizing the scientist. By the time the machine is shut down, Selenski is nothing but scattered atoms. But the scientist isn't dead, his mentality and consciousness remain, and through great concentration a green mist forms and before his girlfriend's unbelieving eyes, Selenski reforms his body. But even though it looks the same, his body is now comprised of cosmic energies. He is a being who's very thought can cause massive destruction. He has mastery over energy and matter. Selenski has changed mentally as well. Where before his strive to be the best in his field was all-consuming, he now sees that to be so trivial. Selenski worries that the evils and war and conflicts of mankind will destroy all. Selenski decides to use his new found abilities to cause the world to see him as a threat and to come together against him as a common enemy, theorizing that will finally bring mankind together as one. Selenski uses too much energy though when he also comes into conflict with the JLA & the invading Kree, and his energy output causes a black hole to form and suck in the whole solar system. Selenski, at the last minute, realizes his mistake and uses his vast powers to rewind time to the point where he first reformed from the green mist. This time he becomes a super-hero, calling himself Solar, and joins the JLA. Solar is very powerful, being able to go toe to toe with the Spectre, but because of what happened the last time he used too much power, Solar is always mindful not to do too much, often causing him to pause when he should act. When Solar "rewrote" time no one else remembers what happened, as far as the world knows the new hero Solar joined the JLA during the Kree invasion.

  • Anthony Stark is the brilliant head of Stark International, a leading weapons system maker and manufacturing conglomerate. Stark, against advice, decides to take a trip into war torn Afghanistan to help with new weapon systems for the UN forces there. His trip is supposed to be top secret, but rival, Lex Luthor, knows of it, and lets Al Qaeda forces know of this, hoping for Stark's capture so he(Lex) can accomplish a take over of Stark's business. Stark isn't in Afghanistan very long when enemy forces attack where he is at. In an attempt to get away, Tony trips a land mine. The injured Stark is taken by Al Qaeda to their headquarters in Pakistan. There Anthony is tended to medically allowing him to live because Osama Bin Laden want him and the American scientist from STAR labs, William Wright, who is also a prisoner, to build them a powerful weapon to use against the USA. Anthony is told there is shrapnel near his heart, and if e builds them this weapon, they will allow doctors to operate so he may live. At first Anthony refuses, but Wright tells him of his plan. Wright, knowing of Stark's breakthroughs in micro-circuitry, wants to build a weapon they can use to break out. The 2 scientists go about their work, creating a metallic armored suit, that has many weapons systems, all powered by the micro-circuitry using solar power, and the metal is sealed magnetically so it is near impervious. Wright and Stark also build into the armor a special chest plate that keeps Stark alive. Just as they are about to bring the armor online and fully functional, they hear guards approaching their cell. Wright, knowing they need time, rushes the guards, who gun him down, giving Stark time to put on the armor and power up. In the armor, Stark takes out the guards and is soon joined in his fight by the Avenger, who has come looking for his brother. When Stark reveals his brother's sacrifice, the Avenger destroys the Al Queada HQ, killing all, including Bin Laden, and gives Stark safe travel back to the states. Once back in the states, and avoiding the take over by Luthorcorp, Stark works on his armor, making it more streamline. After about a year the armor is a marvel of engineering, and when Stark International HQ is attacked by Kree, Stark protects his company as Iron Man, telling everyone that Iron Man is the new body guard of the CEO. Iron Man soon joins the JLA. In the battle with the Kree forces, Tony as Iron Man has a showdown with his rival Lex Luthor, who is using the X-O Man-O-War armor the Kree had given him for his help. Tony is told by Lex of his treachery in connection to the Al Queada capture of him, and almost kills Tony when his alien armor dismantles Stark's Iron Man armor, including the chest plate. Iron Man is saved when fellow JLA'er, Solar kills Lex's X-O armor. Iron Man goes on to become a leading member of the JLA, and is constantly updating and improving his armor.

  • Matt Murdock, son of Pro Boxer, Jack "Battling" Murdock has been raised to stay away from fighting by his father who doesn't want his son following in his footsteps. Matt grows up idolizing his father, but due to his promise not to fight, he is often picked on and made fun of, gaining the nickname "Daredevil" because other kids see him as being timid and frightened to fight. Matt's life is changed dramatically by 2 events. First, while walking home from school he sees an elderly man step into the crosswalk as a speeding truck containing radioactive material from a Luthorcorp plant. Matt without even thinking of his own safety pushes the man to safety, but gets clipped by the truck, which wrecks and a canister falls from the truck and hits Matt in the eyes. The accident causes Matt to be blinded, but also causes Matt's meta-gene to kick in, which makes his other senses super-human, even allowing him a sort of "radar-sense" which gives him an almost virtual sight. The medical costs causes his father to take money from the criminal crime lord known as the Red Hood to throw a championship contenders match. Jack hates doing it, but does it for Matt. However when Matt is brought to the match and seeing his blind son cheering for him, Jack can't throw the fight and wins by knock out. The Red Hood is incensed and sends a hit man to kill Matt's father. He stabs & kills Jack in front of Matt, but seeing the boy is blind, let's him live. Matt promises himself that he won't forget the hit man and someday avenge his father. Matt does 2 things to get to this end. First he studies so he may go to law school and become a lawyer, and secondly he trains his body to peak perfection thanks to several mentors, Ted Grant a boxing student of his father's trains Matt in boxing, Crusher Creel, pro wrestler, trains Matt in submission wrestling(this will come back to haunt Matt later when Creel becomes super-villain, Absorbing Man, and knowing Matt's secret ability deduces he and Daredevil are one and the same), The Flying Graysons, a husband and wife acrobat act, train Matt in acrobatics, and a Gajiin by the name of Mr. Miyagi trains Matt in martial arts. Eventually becoming a lawyer, opening an office with his friend "Foggy" Nelson, Matt thinks he needs to do more, especially since there is a new Kingpin of crime in town, so he decides to truly become a Daredevil ad designs a costume and a special billy club containing a strong line for swinging from rooftops, and a smoke screen and becomes a super-hero. Daredevil is one of the JLA's new recruits during the Kree War. He also comes into conflict with his former mentor, Absorbing Man, and the man who killed his father, now calling himself Gladiator, as well as the former Red Hood, now the maniacal menace known as the Joker.

  • Rex Mason is a mysterious soldier of fortune who has done jobs for a varied group which includes Doc Savage, Victor Von Doom, Norman Osbourne, & Lex Luthor. If you need a job done nobody else wants to do, or something found that no one else can find, Rex is your man. Only thing he won't do is kill anyone. One person he has found himself working for quite a few times is multi-billionaire Simon Stagg, mainly because he is having an affair with his beautiful daughter, Sapphire. One such job he did for Simon was helping a Gorilla by the name of Java escape from a jail in the fabled Gorilla City, capital of Wundagore, an African nation inhabited by animal-humanoid creatures created by the Elder of the Universe known as the High Evolutionary. Java serves as Stagg's bodyguard, and develops a crush on Sapphire, causing him to hate Rex. This all comes to a head when Simon, Sapphire, Java, and Mason travel to Egypt and uncover an unknown burial crypt, which houses the Orb of Ra, an ancient mystical object that supposedly connects man to the Cosmic, the Creator, Ra to the Egyptians of ancient times, God to modern man. Legends say the Orb can be deadly as well, which is why Stagg let's Rex be the one to enter the chamber in which the orb lies. When Rex tries to touch the orb, it begins to radiate with energy, causing Rex to scream out in pain. Knowing now that the orb is indeed deadly, Stagg has Java use his great strength to block off the chamber's entrance with a huge piece of rubble. The 2 stand and listen to what they think are Mason's dying words and screams as he begs them to let him out. The 2 start to leave when suddenly something shatters the rubble and out walks Rex, but he has changed, becoming a being of humanoid frame but seemingly composed of mud, metal, and various other things. He grabs the beast, Java, and one of his hands turn into a diamond tip drill and he threatens to drill into the Gorilla's head, but then Sapphire, who was outside, comes in having heard the screaming of her love. When she sees what was formerly Rex, she screams, not recognizing him. This causes Rex to flee, he transforms into oxygen and blows away with the breeze. Stagg searches for the Orb, seeing now the power it can bestow, but it is gone. Later he realizes that Rex and the Orb have become one. When Sapphire is told about what happened to Rex she accepts him in his new form, much to the sadness of Java. Stagg promises to use all his resources to find a cure for Rex, but only if Rex uses his new found abilities to help him. In doing so Rex goes by the new name of Metamorpho, the Element Man, being able to turn his body into any element in the universe, but not being able to turn human again. In order for Rex to move about undetected, Stagg has the best artists in Hollywood make a face mask that looks just like Rex's former face, as well as hand like gloves. Rex, in his work for Stagg, runs into many strange villains, and battles them as Metamorpho. He soon comes into conflict with some Kree invaders while in Paris, France, which leads to him joining the JLA. The ancient one, Shazam, upon meeting Metamorpho, tells him he may be the most powerful of the JLA, because the legend of the Orb is true, and he has become one with Ra, the Cosmic. Shazam says when Rex finally accepts his fate there will be no one who can stop him. Rex tells the wizard that he will never accept being a freak, to which the wizard replies, then, sadly, you will never realize your true purpose.

I had it up at a site for writers that was taken down and I didn't keep any copies of my work, so basically it's lost. Sorry.
