 I liked the first issue and can't wait for the next. We get another explanation for his glasses other than disguise purposes, we finally get to see Superboy in continuity. It's been so long since Johns' Superman and the Legion of Superheroes arc back in Action that I was wondering when we'd get this.
 
As for Johns being Mr. Retcon...well I can see that. But some of his retcons were for the better, without the Parallax retcon we wouldn't have the amazing Green Lantern run we have now. Action Comics under his reign was better than ever. The only thing that really irks me is with what he's doing with the Flash in Rebirth. Putting in unnecessary tragedy in Barry's origin? Yeah, I am NOT down with that. Neither am I with his explaining of the Speed Force, and Barry suddenly being the origin of it. I know, it's Barry's title, but there's really no reason why he has to put him on a pedestal like this..I mean hell, Wally is supposed to be his favourite. Just thought I'd lay down my thoughts on this.

 I always heard that one of the reasons he left DC was because they kept promising him that he'd write for "Superman" after Birthright, but they eventually gave the writer spot to Busiek and then again to Robinson.
 
But anyway, awesome interview so far. Can't wait for part 2.

True, true. Back when he was a teenager and in his early twenties. Dude's nearly thirty now, so it's pretty old hat.
