My stance regarding Star Wars: TCW and Exceptions.

This is something that has been bothering me lately and I'm just wanting to address my stance regarding The Clone Wars. I liked it well enough....but honestly, I want nothing to do with it in debates if we're arguing Legends for the Characters.

Sorry, TCW being this hybrid of Legends and Canon just doesn't sit right with me. It's strictly Canon to me regarding the Characters within.

There's plenty of Legends material that detail through the Clone Wars, that isn't TCW if people don't remember, IE: Comics, Books and the OCW.

Now I do have exceptions to this, namely the Senate Commandos and other minor things, but these don't really fly in the face of Legends material and make a mess of it.

But as far as Characters like Anakin, Obi-Wan, Mace etc go? I want nothing to do with TCW if Legends is being debated. (Not that I want to be tagged in Force User battles, I keep getting tagged in them despite not responding, clearly because they aren't my forte really.)

Sorry, but there's too many inconsistencies with the characters in the show and then pre-TCW Legends Clone Wars material for it to make much sense to me.

Sorry, I just can't try to force fit pieces of a puzzle in, if they can't fit in the dang puzzle.

Star Wars: Prophets of the Dark Side respect thread

So yes folks another RT blog, this time looking at another powerful Force User organization that delves into the Dark Side. I finally gathered enough info for their to be something of a respect thread for this group and the characters within(though a few also have their own respect threads too, which I will also link below.) So without further ado, let's get to it!

======

Prophets of the Darkside

Mysterious powerful beings.
Mysterious powerful beings.

Sourcebook/Guide Quotes

One of these secrets concerns a small group of dark side devotees called the Prophets of the Dark Side. Led by the Supreme Prophet Kadann, these darksiders use their powers and abilities to explore the dark side of the Force and make predictions on the outcomes of plans, strategies and upcoming events.

- Taken from Rebellion Era Sourcebook

They explore the dark side, making predictions on plans and upcoming events.

Eventually, Darth Sidious discovered the secret order, and bent these Prophets of the Dark Side to his will. When the Prophets were obliquely reintegrated into Darth Bane's line of the Sith, Palpatine secretly gave them the duty of providing early training for some of his dark siders. Occasionally, Palpatine asked the Prophets to train a devotee to the exalted levels of Emperor's Hand, Emperor's Eyes, or Emperor's Reach.

Again they were entrusted with training his Dark Adepts, including Nial Declann who was powerful enough to use Battle Meditation.

"I have met these reclusive cretins and listened to their singsong prophecies. They do posses the gift of futuresight, which proved useful to my forces at the Battle of Dromund Kass. But the Prophets themselves admit they have hunted down heretics and imitations."

―Asajj Ventress.

- Taken from Book of Sith

Ventress has encountered them, noting their power of futuresight being useful and how they have hunted down heretics and imitations.

An actual Prophet is able to make Force Storms, Futuresight, TK, Mind Trick, proficient in lightsabers.

The planet remains a well-kept secret exclusive to the prophets until its discovery by Darth Sidious. It then becomes an early training ground for Palpatine's Force-sensitive minions. In the Old Republic era, heroes may have heard rumors about this dark side religion and seek Dromund Kaas to either destroy or practice the malevolent faith. During the Emperor's reign, adventurers on the planet would have to be darksiders working for Palpatine or Prophets-in-training.

Whether serving the light or darkness, heroes visiting Dromund Kaas will find themselves undergoing grave challenges. Swamp wampas,* dianogas, vornskrs, Guardian Spirits, and Noghri abominations** all infest the dark side bog world.

- Taken from the Dark Forces Saga

One of the worlds where the Prophets are located is Dromund Kaas at the Dark Force Temple, Palpatine's Force Sensitives train their and undergo grave challenges from what is on the world.

High Prophet Merili

"Someone must keep the Wookiees in line, and who better to rule over them than you?"―Palpatine to Merili

Sourcebook/Guide Quotes

She's of medium height with an attractive figure that's usually hidden beneath tattered robes. Her robes cover the reptile-scale armor indigenous to her homeworld of Dathomir. A poisonous dagger hides within a sheath under her upper right arm and her walking staff is disguised as a power weapon.

- Taken from Polyhedron 103

Carries a poisonous dagger and a powered weapon disguised as a walking staff.

She only resorts to physical battle if her life is endangered. She prefers to let her Force wraiths and controlled Wookiees to fight for her. Merili is one of the witches of Dathomir, who impressed Kadann with her connection to the Dark Side.

- Taken from Polyhedron 103

She is able to control Wookiees and Force Wraiths to fight for her, also being a Nightsister of Dathomir, impressing Supreme Prophet Kadann.

Instead she serves as the keeper of the wookiee homeworld Kashyyyk, a position granted to her by Emperor Palpatine. Her desire to remain on Kashyyyk is the only thing protecting the galaxy from her terrible powers and insane ambitions.

- Taken from Polyhedron 103

Keeper of Kashyyyk, which is the only thing that keeps her from using her terrible powers that she has upon the galaxy.

With 5 Star Destroyers and nine garrisons under her command. Merili holds Kashyyyk and its star system in an iron grip. Her powers and the horrific monsters she calls forth from the Dark side keeps the wookiees in line. She also has three adult rancors who serve as her guards and constant companions.

Created by the power of the Dark Side, Force Wraiths are semi-corporeal, nonsentiant shadowy things that obey the commands of their creator. Both Merili and Jedgar know the secret for calling forth Force Wraiths. Merili's Force Wraiths are huge, standing nearly 4 meters tall, they resemble dark, nightmare versions of wookiees that are fearsome and devastating in combat.

Merili's Force Wraiths stand near 4 meters tall, resembling wookiees and are fearsome/devastating combatants.

Cronal spent many years with them on Dromund Kaas, perfecting his aptitude for Darksight and passing it on to the raven-haired Nightsister and prophetess Merili, whom he considered his greatest pupil. Inculcated by Cronal with such mania, Merili amalgamated this skill with learnings in Aing-Tii flow-walking, Dathomirian Heartshadow and her own dark side deconstructions of spacetime — superseding her guru’s own proficiency notwithstanding her being driven supertemporally insane.

- Taken from The Imperial Warlords Despoilers of the Empire

Was trained by Cronal in the use of Darksight, combining it with Flow Walking.

Her power doesn't match Kadann's or Jedgar's, but many believe her to be the most dangerous of the Prophets for one reason- she's totally insane. One moment she's calm, her voice measured, the next she's shrieking, animated, and wild.

- Taken from Polyhedron 103

Though her power doesn't match Kadann's or Jedgar's, she's considered the most dangerous Prophet because she's insane.

High Prophet Jedgar

"You insignificant mynock! You are nothing to a master of the dark side!"―Jedgar

Sourcebook/Guide Quotes

Tall, bald, and bearded, Jedgar was the true High Prophet of the Dark Side. As a youth studying at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, he was troubled by dark dreams that had a frightening habit of coming to pass. He had nightmares of the Clone Wars and the Jedi Purge years before either event occurred. Though filled with a talent for seeing the future, Jedgar frightened the other students and could find no Jedi Knight to accept him as an apprentice. He was assigned to the Agri-Corps on his thirteenth birthday, but refused to accept such a menial occupation. Jedgar ran away and followed his dreams to the dark side.

- Taken from the Dark Side Sourcebook

He used to be a Jedi in training, having a talent for seeing things that were to come including the Clone Wars and Jedi Purge, he frightened other students and no one would take him, so he fled and followed to the dark side.

Warkin is a huge, unkept Wookiee. The mad Wookiee willingly serves the Dark Side and High Prophet Jedgar, Warkin uses his claws in combat. As a young Wookiee, Warkin found his great strength(impressive even among wookiees) often gave him advantages and power over others. The mad wookiee is not Force Sensitive, but his personality and actions were such that the Dark Side 'noticed' and offered him even more power.

- Taken from Polyhedron 104

Supreme Prophet Kadann

"Dark and light are illusions. There is only power and the will to use it—and the wisdom to use it appropriately."―Kadann

Sourcebook/Guide Quotes

The true Supreme Prophet of the Dark Side, Kadann was a black-bearded dwarf who wore dark robes tha appeared to be cut from the fabric of space itself, with stars gleaming in its inky depths. During the time of the Republic, Kadann was a Jedi Knight. More of a thinker and philosopher than a man of action, Kadann strove to understand the ancient prophecies that concerned the balance of the Force. To these ends, Kadann struggled to reconcile balance with adhering to only the light side of the Force. He came to believe that dark and light in equal measures were needed to truly master and understand the Force.

- Taken from the Dark Side Sourcebook

Former Jedi Knight, striving to understand the balance of the Force, coming to believe both sides were needed mastery to truly understand it.

In time, he turned away from the Jedi Code and started to experiment with dark side powers. While his intentions may have been good, Kadann still managed to stray onto the path of corruption. He traveled the galaxy, exploring his theories and meditating on the dark side.

- Taken from Polyhedron 103

Jedgar is the most ambitious, he wants power and doesn't want to wait, but he's too afraid to oppose Kadann who is much more powerful than he is.

Kadann is an enigma. He is currently the most powerful Force User around, outstripping even Luke Skywalker. Indeed, Kadann's abilities come close to equaling the Emperor at the height of his power.

- Taken from Polyhedron 103

After the death of Palpatine, Kadann was the most powerful Force User, even outstripping Luke and was close to even equaling the Emperor himself as of ROTJ.

Kadann isn't a villain to be fought, but rather outmaneuvered. He rarely even puts on a display of power and never stoops to using Force Lighting the way the Emperor did. He could destroy those who oppose him in an instant, but usually simply leaves if violence is used against him.

- Taken from Polyhedron 103

He isn't one to be fought, can also use Force Lighting and could destroy those who oppose him in an instant, but usually just leaves if there's violence against him.

The mysterious darksider called Azrakel was an experiment born in the mind of the Emperor and given life by the High Prophet Kadann. In secret and with the raw power of the dark side, Kadann recreated Azrakel. He trained the young man as he had been taught, providing him with the mentoring necessary to harness his power and strengthen his abilities. As Azrakel, the young man grew strong in body and in the Force. He became Kadann's secret weapon, his tool for performing covert acts that increased his own power and prestige.

Star Wars: Darth Bane & Darth Vader: Encounters of the Galaxy.

Alright so this is a gonna be something of a blog/thread, detailing over some of the encounters that both of these guys have against those that some that people use to try and 'lowball' them. I use that term loosely because...if you look at these encounters, they aren't what they appear to be.

This isn't to say that these aren't low showings, they just shouldn't really be used as a means to discredit them from who they are. So let us start with....

Darth Bane vs Mercenaries

This for some reason is brought up against Bane because...hey it's a bunch of Mercs being able to fight Darth Bane, one of the most powerful Sith Lords. Except there's more to it than that.

Medd held his ground, igniting his lightsaber and peering into the shadows that lined the walls of the cave. Unable to pierce the darkness with his eyes, he opened himself to the Force-and staggered back as if he had been punched in the stomach.

Normally, the Force washed over him like a warm bath of white light, strengthening him, centering him. This time, however, it struck him like a frozen fist in the gut.

Another blaster bolt whistled by his ear. Dropping to his knees, Medd crawled to cover behind the nearest rock formation, bewildered and confused. As a Jedi, he had trained his entire life to transform himself into a servant of the Force. He had learned to let the light side flow through him, empowering him, enhancing his physical senses, guiding his thoughts and actions. Now the very source of his power had seemingly betrayed him.

He could hear blaster bolts ricocheting throughout the chamber as the miners returned fire against their unseen opponent, but he shut out the sounds of battle. He didn't understand what had happened to him; he only knew he had to find some way to fight it.

Panting, the Jedi silently recited the first lines of the Jedi Code, struggling to regain his composure. There is no emotion; there is peace. The mantra of his Order allowed him to bring his breathing under control. A few seconds later he felt composed enough to reach out carefully to try to touch the Force once more.

Instead of peace and serenity, he felt only anger and hatred. Instinctively, his mind recoiled, and Medd realized what had happened. Somehow the power he was drawing on had been tainted by the dark side, corrupted and poisoned.

He still couldn't explain it, but now he at least knew how to try to resist the effects. Blocking out his fear, the Jedi allowed the Force to flow through him once more in the faintest, guarded trickle. As he did so, he focused his mind on cleansing it of the impurities that had overwhelmed his senses. Slowly, he felt the power of the light side washing over him:though it was far less than what he was used to.

Stepping out from behind the rocks, he called out in a loud voice, "Show yourself!"

A blaster bolt ripped from the darkness toward him. At the last second he deflected it with his lightsaber, sending it off harmlessly into the corner-a technique he had mastered years ago while still a Padawan.

Too close, he thought to himself. You're slow, hesitant. Trust in the Force.

The power of the Force enveloped him, but something about it still felt wrong. Its strength flickered and ebbed, like a static-filled transmission. Something-or someone-was disrupting his ability to focus. A dark veil had fallen across his consciousness, interfering with his ability to draw upon the Force. For a Jedi there was nothing more terrifying, but Medd had no intention of retreating.

"Leave the miners alone," he called out, his voice betraying none of the uncertainty he felt. "Show yourself and face me!"

From the far corner of the room a young Iktotchi woman stepped forth, holding a blaster pistol in each hand. She was clad in a simple black cloak, but she had thrown her hood back to reveal the downward-curving horns that protruded from the sides of her head and tapered to a sharp point just above her shoulders. Her reddish skin was accentuated by black tattoos on her chin-four sharp, thin lines extending like fangs from her lower lip.

"The miners are dead," she told him. There was something cruel in her voice, as if she was taunting him with the knowledge.

Gingerly using the Force to extend his awareness, Medd realized it was true. As if peering through an obscuring haze, he could just manage to see the bodies of the miners strewn about the chamber, each branded by a lethal shot to the head or chest. In the few seconds it had taken him to collect himself, she had slain them all.

"You're an assassin," he surmised. "Sent by the royal family to kill the rebel leaders."

She tilted her head in acknowledgment, and opened her mouth as if she was about to speak. Then, without warning, she fired another round of blaster bolts at him.

The ruse nearly worked. With the Force flowing through him he should have sensed her deception long before she acted, but whatever power was obscuring his ability to touch the light side had left him vulnerable.

Instead of trying to deflect the bolts a second time, Medd threw himself to the side, landing hard on the ground.

You're as clumsy as a youngling, he chided himself as he scrambled back to his feet.

Unwilling to expose himself to another barrage, he thrust out his free hand, palm facing out. Using the Force, he yanked the weapons from his enemy's grasp. The effort sent a searing bolt of pain through the entire length of his head, causing him to wince and take a half step back. But the blasters sailed through the air and landed harmlessly on the ground beside him.

To his surprise, the assassin seemed unconcerned. Could she sense his fear and uncertainty? The Iktotchi were known to have limited precognitive abilities; it was said they could use the Force to see glimpses of the future. Some even claimed they were telepathic. Was it possible she was somehow using her abilities to disrupt his connection to the Force? "If you surrender, I will promise you a fair trial," Medd told her, trying to project an image of absolute confidence and self-assurance.

She smiled at him, revealing sharp, pointed teeth. "There will be no trial."

The Iktotchi threw herself into a back handspring, her robe fluttering as she flipped out of view behind the cover of a thick stone outcropping. At the same instant, one of the blasters at Medd's feet beeped sharply.

The Jedi had thought he had disarmed his foe, but instead he had fallen into her well-laid trap. He had just enough time to register that the power cell had been set to overload before it detonated. With his last thought he tried to call upon the Force to shield him from the blast, but he was unable to pierce the debilitating fog that clouded his mind. He felt nothing but fear, anger, and hatred.

As the explosion ended his life, Medd finally understood the true horror of the dark side.

- Taken from Darth Bane: Dynasty of Evil

"There was collateral damage during my mission on your world," the Huntress explained. "The Jedi. I expect your mistress was displeased."

Lucia shook her head. "That's not why I'm here."

- Taken from Darth Bane: Dynasty of Evil

People seem to overlook the fact of this woman, an Assassin known as the Huntress, who would later become Darth Cognus. Before her encounter with Bane, she was able to kill Jedi Knight Medd, but not only this she was able to disrupt his Force connection severely to the point where it was flickering and slowing, unable to shield him from an explosion and barely dodge blaster fire and sense intentions.

This is a very powerful and potent ability which is greatly undersold because....The Force is everything to a Jedi or Sith. Which is used against Darth Bane and this greatly diminishes his ability during the fight.

But let us move onto the Mercenaries.

"I'd need at least ten well-trained warriors under my command," she said, speaking slowly.

"I'll give you twenty."

"Then we have a deal," the Iktotchi replied

- Taken from Darth Bane: Dynasty of Evil

The princess had offered her twenty well-trained mercenaries for the job, and she had been as good as her word: twelve men and eight women, all with prior military experience, had accompanied the Huntress to the world.

She had also sent along Captain Jedder, a senior member of the Doan Royal Guard. The Doan noble houses had a long history of supplementing their numbers with hired soldiers for particularly dangerous missions, and Jedder had handpicked this particular team from crews he had worked with in the past.

Technically, the mercs answered to Jedder, though he, in turn, answered to the Huntress. That was fine by her. Mercenaries had been known to cut and run if things went bad on a job, but if they had worked with the captain in the past they were more likely to stick with the battle plan right to the end.

The front entrance to the mansion was open and spacious. The door opened onto a large foyer, which flowed into an oversized sitting room furnished with two couches and a large glass table. A spiral staircase led off to one side, curling up to a balcony that overlooked the sitting room.

"We should try to take him here, when he first comes in," she said. "He'll sense that something is wrong right away, so we need to hit him fast."

"Set up a pair of sonic detonators on either side of the door," Jedder said into his radio. Instantly two of the soldiers ran over to comply with his orders.

"I fought against the Sith, you know," Jedder told her as the Huntress turned slowly in place, scoping out the rest of the room. "Twenty years ago. During the war. I was barely more than a kid."

"That's probably why the princess sent you along," the Iktotchi replied absently.

- Taken from Darth Bane: Dynasty of Evil

These were 20 well trained Mercenaries under Captain Jedder, all war vets with Jedder having fought against the Sith. This also shows that they prepped themselves for Bane's arrival, setting up sonic detonators on the door sides and needing to hit him fast as soon as he arrives.

Now I'm not entirely sure why people dismiss the fact, thus far....Cognus and the Mercs had knowledge and prep time against Bane. So 20 vet Mercs + Knowledge/Prep + Darth Cognus and Mercs in general are noted as dangerous opponents and know how to use tactics.

Mercenaries are grim opponents, having their teeth cut on numerous engagements and having witnessed the horrors of war time and again. In no rush to join the casualty list, they are cautious in their tactics and don't take unnecessary risks.

- Taken from Threats to the Galaxy

Mercenaries of all kinds are generally grim in combat. They've seen lots of action, lost a lot of comrades and take combat very seriously. Anywhere there's an armed conflict in the galaxy, mercenaries can often be found.

- Taken from Ultimate Adversaries

So it's not like Mercs in SW are anything to scoff at.

When Bane returned to Ciutric, he was surprised to find Zannah's ship still gone, but he was grateful that she wouldn't be waiting for him back at the mansion. He was in no shape to do battle with her now; he was even too tired to come up with a lie to explain his absence without raising her suspicions.

- Taken from Darth Bane: Dynasty of Evil

Bane also was in no shape to do battle, he was so tired he wouldn't have even been able to come up with a lie.

But now we get to the center of it all...the battle!

He opened the door and stepped inside, letting it swing shut behind him.

Naive and inexperienced. Maybe-He froze. Someone else was in the mansion. He could feel the intruders everywhere: hiding around corners in the hallways, crouched on the stairs, ducking behind the furniture, perched on the balcony above.

All this flashed through Bane's mind in less than a tenth of a second-just enough time for it to register before the sonic detonators on either side of him went off.

Their earsplitting shriek staggered Bane, causing him to stumble forward into the room and away from the door and possible escape. His hands instinctively flew up and clutched at his ears, his travel pack dropping to the floor. And then the enemy fell upon him.

They poured out like a swarm of insects, bursting into view from every side. Four soldiers armed with stun rifles sent a barrage of bolts raining down from the balcony; Bane-still reeling from the sonic detonators-barely had enough time throw up a protective barrier to shield him from the assault.

As he did so, he felt something fighting him. Some power was trying to block his ability to call upon the Force to shield himself. It wasn't strong enough to stop him, but it did hinder his efforts just enough so that a flicker of energy passed through the barrier.

His muscles seized as he was hit; his back arched and his arms and head were thrown back. Every nerve in Bane's body lit up as if it were on fire. The pain lasted only an instant, but it was enough to knock him to the floor in a crumpled heap.

He didn't stay down, however. He sprang back to his feet, simultaneously drawing his lightsaber with his right hand as he sent a blast of lightning out from the fingertips of his left. The violet bolts should have incinerated all four of his targets on the balcony, yet again the strange power interfering with his ability to draw upon the Force hindered his efforts.

Three of the victims were electrocuted, dying before they even had a chance to scream. The fourth, however, managed to throw herself back from the balcony's edge, evading the deadly attack.

Bane never got a chance to finish her off. A pair of soldiers emerged from a hallway on the left, and three more appeared from the hall on the right. They opened fire with tangle guns, sending out long streams of sticky, synthetic webbing.

The soldiers were smart; they coordinated their efforts. Two fired at his feet, looking to glue him to the floor. The others aimed for the chest and torso, looking to pin his arms to his sides with the viscous strings. But Bane wasn't about to let himself become immobilized.

Leaping up, he grabbed onto the chandelier hanging from the ceiling, holding himself with his free hand. Swinging his legs to build momentum, he launched himself up over the railing and onto the balcony, giving him the advantage of higher ground.

He came down with a heavy thud, the inexplicable power that still impeded his connection to the Force robbing him of a graceful landing. The bodies of the three dead soldiers were scattered about him. To his right were the stairs leading back down to the foyer; straight ahead was a long hall leading to another wing of the mansion.

A female Iktotchi stood at the far end of the hall, a long, thin knife held in each hand. She grinned at Bane, and in that moment he knew who was interfering with his ability to use the Force.

She broke into a run, charging down the hall toward him. Bane dropped into a fighting crouch to meet her attack, knowing her knives were no match for his lightsaber. It was only then that he noticed the flash grenades lying by the dead bodies at his feet.

They exploded with a burst of intense light and chemical smoke that blinded Bane. Disoriented, he fell back against the balcony's railing. An instant later he felt the sole of the Iktotchi's boots strike him hard in the chest, sending him tumbling backward over the banister to the marble floor four meters below.

He hit the ground hard enough to knock the breath from his body, leaving him gasping for air. The impact jarred his lightsaber from his grip, sending it skittering across the floor. An instant later his prone form was enveloped by the webbing from the tangle guns, pinning him to the ground.

Blind and immobilized, Darth Bane's fury saved him. Years of training allowed him to focus all his pain and rage in one single instant, drawing on it so he could unleash the full power of the dark side. Once again he felt the Iktotchi's barrier opposing his efforts, but this time he tore through it like it wasn't even there.

For a moment it was as if the world around him was frozen in place. Though his eyes were still suffering the effects of the flash grenade, the Force rushing through his body gave him an otherworldly awareness of his surroundings-the scene was burned into his brain in exquisite detail.

The soldiers were scattered about the foyer, scrambling to take up new positions in preparation for the next stage of the battle. They were well trained, but he could still sense their fear: they knew the fight was far from over. The Iktotchi had leapt over the railing in pursuit of him. She hung poised in the air above him, her twin blades held out to the either side as she braced for landing. Bane could even see himself lying on the floor, buried beneath a thick, wet blanket of rapidly drying chemical adhesive.

The frozen tableau lasted only a fraction of an instant, but it told the Dark Lord everything he needed to know. And then the instant was gone, and everything became a blur of motion again.

The Iktotchi landed just as Bane unleashed a wave of crackling electricity that burned away the webbing of the tangle guns. She dropped to one knee and tried to stab her knives into him as he lay on the floor, but through the Force Bane saw her coming. He managed to roll aside, escaping with only a long, deep cut along one of his forearms as he scrambled back to his feet.

In response to his call, his lightsaber flew up from the floor and into his waiting hand, but the Iktotchi was already retreating. Now that he was no longer helpless, she was eager to fall back and let others step in.

Several more flash grenades exploded around him, but Bane was unaffected; he was no longer relying on his physical sight to guide him. Fresh streams of webbing arced across the room toward him, but this time he incinerated them while they were still in the air. Half a dozen concussion grenades tossed in from every side clattered on the floor at his feet. As they exploded, Bane simply enveloped himself in the Force, creating a protective cocoon that absorbed the impact and left him standing completely unharmed.

Two men popped up from behind a nearby couch and fired at him from point-blank range with their stun guns. Bane slapped the incoming bolts away with his lightsaber, then thrust out a hand to send the couch slamming straight back into the wall, crushing the men who had been using it for cover.

Then he was on the move, bearing down on two of the soldiers carrying tangle guns. He sliced them both in half horizontally with a single blow from his lightsaber, carving a perfect line just above their belts. Another volley of stun bolts came too late to save them; Bane was already gone.

A single flip and he was back on the balcony again, face-to-face with the Iktotchi.

"You can't escape," he told her.

"I wasn't trying to," she hissed back at him, lunging forward with her knives.

She was quicker than Bane expected, coming in low and fast. He didn't have time to simply chop her down; instead he had to spin out of the way.

He tried to take one of her arms with his lightsaber on a counterthrust as she slipped past, but the Iktotchi anticipated his move and managed to contort her body so that his blade caught nothing but air.

They had switched positions from their first engagement; she was now the one standing with her back to the balcony railing. Bane thrust out with the Force, the impact sending her hurtling backward over the railing as her kick had done to him less than a minute earlier.

Somehow the Iktotchi managed to turn in the air so that she landed on her feet. Because of this, she was able to spring to safety when Bane sent a blast of lightning hurtling down toward her. Instead of her charred corpse, it left only a smoking circle on the floor.

Soldiers were firing their stun guns at him again from the stairwell. Bane didn't even bother to strike back at them; he simply dodged their attack by vaulting over the railing and dropping back down to the floor below. The soldiers were nothing to him; it was the Iktotchi he was interested in now. She was the only opponent who posed any real threat. Eliminate her and he could deal with the soldiers at his leisure.

He landed on the floor in a crouch, absorbing the impact. And then everything went black.

- Taken from Darth Bane: Dynasty of Evil

Now let's break this down here shall we?

1. The sonic detonators detonators went right off next to him, recall that two sonic detonators were on the sides of the door and he had just entered through.

2. Then 4 Mercs come out at Bane and start firing with stun rifles, yet even with the sonic dets he is able to throw up a Barrier and this would have worked if not for Cognus deluding his ability in The Force.

3. Yet even Cognus' ability is noted not enough to stop him, just weaken enough for him to get hit by the stun rifles and drop to the ground, yet he springs to his feet and blasts out Force Lighting to kill 3 Mercs before they had hit the floor.

4. He then avoids the next attack by the Mercs, jumping up to the balcony to get blinded by flashbangs next to the dead bodies, kicked over the balcony and hit hard to the ground enough to knock out his breath and his lightsaber skidding across the floor. He then summons the dark side, tearing through Cognus' Force dampening ability.

5. The Mercs throw Flashbangs and Concussion Grenades, yet he ignores them and kills 4 more Mercs, 2 with a couch and 2 more with his lightsaber.

6. The Mercs then fire again on Bane as he fights with Cognus, yet he just ignores them, noting that they posed no threat to him. He only dropped due to the poison from Cognus' blade.

So let's recap here. Bane kills 7 of the Mercs then goes onto ignore the other 13 Mercs that posed no threat to him. Cognus' ability only works briefly and the best the Mercs do to Bane is take him down when he was hit with sonic detonators right next to him when he entered and he also being not in any shape for battle.

....Yet this showing is used against Bane because....why? All that planning, weapons and experience and they only bring him down once momentarily at the beginning. The rest of the time, nothing was truly a threat to him, even when Cognus' Force Dampening ability was working.

Even more to that, this group as far as I see it could have actually taken down a few Jedi with what equipment they had.

So...all in all, this showing really shouldn't be used against Bane, like at all.

Darth Vader vs Jedi Group

So now this instance is usually brought up against Vader because...people somehow think Jedi who aren't established are weak.

Except overlooking the fact, that individually they are weak by comparison to Vader, together however there is strength in numbers.

These people are still Jedi, ya know...superhuman swordmasters that vastly outclass any fighter in the galaxy(barring the oddies like Grevious and so on), so let's not assuming that Jedi are like on the same level as a guy with a sword. These Jedi would still run circles and WTF destroy a large number of enemies.

For example...

Bultar Swan

The graceful athletic Bultar Swan was a much respected Jedi Knight, who despite a dozen of combat encounters against scores of foes, had never taken a life, not even in self-defense. Part of Bultar Swan's expertise came from her unusual fighting style, a blend of Teras Kasi and Verdanaian 'sliding hands' methods that required her to maintain physical contact with her foes to judge their next moves.

She learned this combination of styles from Anoon Bondara and Master Micah Giett. She learned from Master Plo Koon, how to meld her martial arts style into a strong lightsaber defense. As a result her overall combat style was very fluid and acrobatic.

- Taken from Power of the Jedi Sourcebook

So one of these Jedi was noted as graceful, having been in a dozen combat encounters, had a blend of Teras Kasi and Verdanaian fighting styles, training under Anoon Bondara(the guy who fought Maul) and Master Micah Giett and then learning from Plo Koon and working it into a strong lightsaber defense.

Ma'kis'shaalas

At the outbreak of the Clone Wars, a Nikto Jedi named Ma'kis'shaalas proved one of the most brutal combatants of the Jedi Order. He entered the Order at an age older than typically allowed, but his dedication and prior training caused the Council to allow an exception.

- Taken from Geonosis & the Outer Rim Worlds

One of the Jedi, Ma'kiss proved to be one of the most brutal combatants in the Jedi Order, even with being older than allowed to join the Order, his training and dedication allowed him.

Ma'kiss'shaalas is Morgukai-one of the greatest, for over a decade Ma'kis'shaalas wore the cortosis-weave armor of the Kajain'sa'Nikto warrior elite.

- Taken from Geonosis & the Outer Rim Worlds

He was one of the greatest Nikto elite warriors.

Morgukai warriors were sometimes a match even for the fabled Jedi Knights. It has been said that a Morgukai who exhibited an affinity for the Force would be unstoppable in time.

- Taken from Geonosis & the Outer Rim Worlds

The Morgukai warriors were a match for Jedi Knights and those with an affinity for the Force would be unstoppable with time.

The red-skinned Kajain'sa'Nikto subspecies famously produced one of the most elite warrior traditions in the galaxy: the "Jedi-killing" cult of the Morgukai. These peerless duelists are among the only non-Force users to repeatedly defeat both Jedi and Sith in melee combat. Fortunately for their opponents, the Morgukai's numbers remain few, but their battle tactics are closely guarded secrets.

-- Star Wars: The Old Republic Encyclopedia

The Morgukai elite are noted as peerless duelists and among the only Non-Force Users to repeatedly defeat both Jedi and Sith in combat

The others don't have much in the way of personal accolades, however this shouldn't be a slight against them. If you see below, you'll see that the other Jedi are still very capable.

http://comicvine.gamespot.com/profile/wolfrazer/blog/star-wars-jedi-knight-respect-thread/124955/

So let's move onto the fight here.

In these first 3 scans alone, Vader takes on 4 Jedi at once. He kills one of the Jedi, swinging his blade over to block a strike from behind, Force pushing another away while in another block from Ma'Kis who he then proceeds to one shot kill. He gets hit once, jump avoids another attack and then blocks an attack from Tsui.

So despite coming prepared with a cortosis blade, that doesn't matter, Vader just takes it and uses it against the remaining 4 and taking hits, then as he's down it takes 3 Jedi Masters just to take down a crippled Vader who only has one hand to work with and a damaged leg.

....What? The fact that it takes 3 Jedi Masters to keep a crippled Sith Lord down is somehow a bad thing? It'd be something if Vader wasn't wounded and missing an entire hand...but that isn't the case here.

Even with all the damage Vader took, he's still powerful enough to restrain Tsui in mid-air(briefly), then later it's noted by Palpatine that he still had much to learn.

Oh yeah...this whole encounter took place ONE WHOLE MONTH AFTER MUSTAFAR!

So let's get this straight. People try to bring this up as some kinda of argument against Vader, yet overlooking the fact that these are all Jedi, 4 of them Masters and 4 of them Jedi Knights. One of which noted as one being under Anoon Bondana and Giett and then learning from Plo Koon, the other being one of the greatest elite Nikto warriors which noted as being Force Sensitive would be unstoppable with time.

Also overlooking the fact that...Vader had only just been put into his life changing life support suit. Would anyone really expect him to have adjusted to something so drastic in his life in the space of 1 month?

The fact he did as well as he did, is amazing at all considering the circumstances.

The Jedi have no such hindrances to them, they don't have to adjust to a life support, they don't have to retool their entire fighting style. There were 8 Jedi, one of which had a Cortosis blade against 1 Sith Lord who had been recently placed in a life support and still needing to work out his fighting style.

Hm....which sounds worse here?

======

Alright now we come down to the last encounter.

======

Darth Vader vs Cybernetic Hunter

This one isn't as brought up against Vader, probably because it's such a small encounter. But I've seen it brought up a few times regarding Vader, but let's go over a few things regarding this enemy Vader faces.

Stauz Czycz is his name, he was a former trooper from his homeworld, fighting against the Empire. Naturally the world was crushed, it was then Stauz underwent heavy cybernetic augmentation in order to kill Vader.

Later as it's noted, he's become a Mercenary/Hunter, being on the list that Vader called to track down the Millenium Falcon, noted by Vader as having a reputation for getting results.

Now Vader only selected a small group of Hunters for this job.

Vader contacted Boba Fett and other hunters, offering a rich bounty to whoever could capture Solo. The response was staggering. Bounty hunters, mercenaries, assassin droids, and blasters-for-hire the galaxy over responded. From the horde of applicants, Vader’s personal staff selected a small number of the specialists particularly suited for the job. Some of the hunters were hired simply because of their reputations, while others had had personal run-ins with Solo in the past and had a grudge to settle.

[...]

Vader dispatched the hunters out, but not as a team. The deadliest beings in the galaxy also happened to carry with them the largest egos, and Vader knew this precluded co-operation.

―Galaxy Guide 3: Empire Strikes Back Second Edition

Stauz only arrived late because...no doubt he wanted to get Vader alone to try and kill him.

Now as the fight begins, it's noted that Vader didn't realize that Stauz was out to kill him and he was still in this line of thinking as he was being attacked.

Stauz's next attack on Vader would have killed anyone, ok not like...anyone, but that's some serious strength Stauz has to not only move/stagger Vader(who is 6.6 and weighing 299 lbs) but to cave in a durasteel wall like that. The cybernetics also grant obvious enhanced agility and durability, seeing as he survives being smashed himself into the ceiling hard.

Indeed it's clear he had skeletal reinforcement which is noted as being able to withstand high impact collision.

Skeletal Reinforcement- This cybernetic enhancement package enhances the host's skeleton with high-impact polymers, increasing bone density and the ability to endure high impact collisions.

- Taken from Galaxy at War

You then see another trick up Stauz's sleeve, his augmentations giving him powerful claw like appendages, strong enough to tear into Vader's armor which would have exposed his human self in seconds. It's then noted by Vader Stauz was an opponent unlike any he had ever faced, how schooled he was in the art of killing, how he was so much like him.

Even after all that, the damage done by Stauz was quickly repaired, indicating any damage that he did wasn't really extensive if it was repaired so quickly.

So all that happened here really, is Stauz attacking against a distracted Vader in the beginning, he lands two shots, Vader TK's him(rather hard) before they lock into a grapple, Vader then kills Stauz as he's being attacked by the latter's clawed appendages.

======

Well there you have it, it's done! Hope everyone enjoys the read and the breakdown of each encounter.Again as I noted, they are low showings...but they are more than they appear to be

Star Wars: The Fringe respect thread

So this will be a respect thread of a different type, this thread will delved into some of the minor characters in Star Wars who appeared once or twice, yet they have shown some impressive skills or abilities. This can also help in further gauging where some of the bigger characters might be.

So with that said, let us get to these guys!

=====

The Fringe

There are no small characters, just small appearances.
There are no small characters, just small appearances.

Phow Ji

She said, "A couple of years ago there was a teras kasi tourney on Bunduki-that's where the art originated, you know. In the final match, a Jedi Knight, Joclad Danva, met the local champion."

"A Jedi? Against a local? That hardly seems fair."

"Danva had the peculiar skill of being able to divorce himself from the Force at times. He never used its power in his matches; only his personal skill, which was con-siderable. He was a virtuoso with twin lightsabers, one of the few ever to master the Jar'Kai technique. I've seen holos of him, and he was a fantastic fighter. He could hold his own with most of the Jedi in practice."

"And...?"

"And he was defeated in the Bunduki match."

Jos raised his eyebrows, then looked away from her toward the bare-chested men on the mat. The ref backed away, and the men assumed fighting positions.

"No," he said.

"Yes. Master Danva was beaten by the local teras kasi champion, Phow Ji. Your new combat instructor."

- Taken from Medstar 1: Battle Surgeons

Barriss recalls that Phow Ji, defeated Jedi Knight Joclad Danva in a Teras Kasi tournament, the latter even without The Force aiding him at all was noted of a person with considerable skill, yet Phow Ji defeated him. He is also noted as the local Teras Kasi champion from Bunduki.

As they watched, the two fighters circled, watching each other. Cley kept his left side facing his opponent, his legs wide in a bantha-riding pose, left hand high, right hand low, fingers formed into loose fists.

Ji stood aslant to Cley, his right foot leading, his arms held wide, hands open. He looked vulnerable, but the in-vitation was false, Barriss knew. They were a step and a half apart, and Barriss recognized this as knife-fighting distance-just outside the range of a short blade.

They kept circling. Cley was too wary to fall for the obvious trap. It looked more like a jetz match than a fight, the delicate balance between them holding as one man shifted, ever so slightly, and the other responded with an equally subtle move.

The onlookers rumbled uncertainly, aware something was going on, but not sure what.

Then Cley made his move. He lunged, driven by pow-erful legs churning hard, and he was very fast. He launched a two-punch combination, a left and a right, low and high, and either would have been enough to end the fight, had they landed.

Ji didn't back away, but instead stepped in to meet the attack. His own punch crossed the centerline and de-flected Cley's highline strike a hair, just enough so that his hit missed. Then Ji's punch caught Cley flush on the nose, but that wasn't the end of it. He continued his step in, put his right leg behind Cley's leading foot, caught the man's throat in the V of his thumb and fore-finger, and swept him, shoving him down onto the mat hard enough to momentarily imprint Cley's form into the resilient foam. Then he dropped into a deep squat and drove the elbow of that same arm into Cley's solar plexus. Cley's breath burst out in a rush.

Ji stood, turned his back to the fallen man, and walked away. Cley lay on his back, trying to regain his wind, unable to rise.

Just like that, the fight was over. Once the attack had been launched, the entire sequence had taken maybe three seconds, total.

"Sweet soalie!" Jos said. "What did he do?"

"Looks like he just cost you ten credits, Captain Von-dar," Barriss said.

Jos watched as the fight medic checked Cley over and decided that the man wasn't hurt badly enough to need more than first aid. He had never seen anything like that before-a fighter as experienced as Cley getting floored so fast and so easily. Phow Ji was good.

- Taken from Medstar 1: Battle Surgeons

Here Ji dominated Cley, a man noted as being fast and an experienced fight and with two punches could have ended the fight. However Ji instead dominated him, the entire fight being all of 3 seconds long.

And Zan was about to find out...

The holo flickered again as Ji moved in and the three Salissians went for him-A moment later, all three mercenaries were on the ground, and darned if Jos could tell what had happened.

Maybe he'd had enough to drink for today, after all.

Dhur said. "Let's look at the replay on that." He touched a control on the sphere. Everyone sat up and watched carefully as the scene began again at one-quarter speed.

Even slowed down, it wasn't easy to see exactly what Phow Ji did, but Jos knew enough anatomy to recognize what damage had been inflicted as the three mercenar-ies fell. One had a crushed larynx, one a broken neck, and the third had taken an elbow to the temple that had surely cracked the skull. All three injuries were apt to be fatal if not treated, and he didn't see any Separatist medics in the jungle clearing.

- Taken from Medstar 1: Battle Surgeons

Here Phow Ji destroys 3 Salissian mercenaries, moving too fast for the group to see from a holocam. Even at a one quarter speed, it was hard to tell what he had done. He crushed a larynx of 1 merc, broke the neck of another and cracked the skull of the third.

It had been murder, for it was obvious that the three mercenaries had not had much, if any, of a chance of defeating Ji. Even three against one and barehanded, the odds had still been in his favor-and, of course, he had known it.

- Taken from Medstar 1: Battle Surgeons

Noted that the 3 mercs didn't stand a chance against Ji, the odds even when he was barhanded were in his favor.

It should be noted, that mercenaries in Star Wars have a ton of combat experience on a number of different worlds, so they aren't slouches in fighting.

Ji smiled and spread his hands in a gesture of inno-cence. "I was unarmed, one against three, on a battle-field in a war, my dear Padawan. I was but utilizing the skills that I am paid to utilize. I'm a soldier. It is not considered murder to kill the enemy."

Barriss had stopped stretching; now she stood, arms folded against her chest, looking at the Bunduki master. "You're an expert fighter, and your hands and feet are as much weapons as a vibroblade or a stun baton," she told him. "Those men had no more chance than they would have had you used a blaster on them. Pretending otherwise is disingenuous."

- Taken from Medstar 1: Battle Surgeons

Barriss notes that Ji's hands and feet are as much weapons as a Vibroblade or Stun Baton.

Second, Bleyd's plans to redeem his family's honor were still paramount, and a physical squabble with an-other officer, for whatever reasons, would draw un-wanted attention from uplevels. He did not want to risk that.

Third-and this reason came hard, but he could not deny it-he wasn't at all sure he could beat Phow Ji in a fair match. There was no doubt that he was stronger and faster, but the human was a combat champion, and his skills had been honed in dozens of matches, some of which had been to the death. Size and strength and speed all mattered, of course, but an opponent with enough skill could level that field.

- Taken from Medstar 1: Battle Surgeons

Despite Bleyd(will get to him later) being stronger and faster than Ji, it wouldn't help him against Phow who was a combat champion, his skills honed in dozens of matches, some to the death.

She emerged from the swamp vegetation, pushing through a last clinging cluster of snarlvines, and saw Ji-the only one still standing amid the carnage. Seven men, all wearing Separatist uniforms, lay dead about him. He had a shallow vibroblade wound on his right forearm, and a blistered left cheekbone where a laser beam had narrowly missed. Other than that, he was unmarked.

- Taken from Medstar 1: Battle Surgeons

Here he killed 7 Sepratists troops, getting only a shallow vibroblade wound and a blistered left cheek where a laser narrowly missed, but otherwise remaining unmarked.

Phow Ji must have seen the truth of this in her face, because his eyes widened in slight surprise. "Do you se-riously think you can stand against me? I am a master of teras kasi, of Hapan, echani, tae-jitsu, and a dozen other deadly styles."

- Taken from Medstar 1: Battle Surgeons

Here Ji notes that he is a master of Teras Kasi, Hapen, Echani, Tae-Jitsu and a dozen other deadly styles. Note that masters of Echani have a form of precog much like Force Users do.

Phow Ji stepped into view in the foreground, his back to the cam. He wore a pair of blasters in low-slung hol-sters on his hips. The droid didn't appear to see or hear him, but this changed when Ji yelled, "Hey, mechani-cal! Over here!"

As the droid turned toward him, Ji snatched the blasters from their holsters so fast that the action was a blur, and fired. The twin bolts caught the droid's visual sensor array, instantly blinding it.

Ji ran to his right, five or six fast steps, and dropped prone. The droid fired his laser cannon at the spot where Ji had been standing a moment before.

Ji rolled up to his knees and shot the droid again, and the bolts-there must have been at least six or seven hits-lanced into the chink under its control box. This was, Den knew, a weak spot on this model's armor, but so small that it was seldom a problem in battle.

It was a problem this time. Blue smoke erupted from the droid's casing, the thing listed to one side, then ground to a halt, critically damaged.

- Taken from Medstar 1: Battle Surgeons

Here Ji draws his twin blasters so fast and fires so fast, that the action was a blur. He then took down the droid in a weak spot that was so small it was hardly a problem in battle, yet he did it.

A trio of Salissian mercenaries came out of the woods, blaster rifles working. Streaks of incandescent plasma scorched the air.

Ji dodged, dodged left, then right, then stutter-stepped as enemy bolts fell short or to the sides. He also shot as he ran, once, twice, thrice-and all three merce-naries were hit with fatal body strikes. They went down.

- Taken from Medstar 1: Battle Surgeons

He once more takes out a trio of mercs, this time they having blaster rifles. But he is able to dodge their blaster shots(thanks to Echani) and take all 3 of them down with fatal blaster shots.

A heavily armored super battle droid emerged from the woods, followed by two more mercenaries, but Ji was on top of them almost before they realized it. He bodyslammed into one of the mercenaries, shot the other, and fired three times more at the droid, which erupted in fire and smoke as had the one before. Den watched in astonishment. Mother's milk, but this was incredible shooting, extremely accurate for sidearm fire, especially from a man running full out over uneven ter-rain and using both hands.

Ji holstered his blasters, straddled the remaining merc, who was still alive and trying to get up. He grabbed the man's head from behind and jerked it powerfully to one side. Den could clearly hear the Salissian's neck snap.

- Taken from Medstar 1: Battle Surgeons

Here Ji gets the drop on 2 mercs and a heavily armored super battle droid, taking them all down before they even realized it, he then grabs the remaining merc and snaps his neck.

He'd thought his capacity to be astonished had reached its limit. But then his jaw dropped as two more mercs emerged from the woods, and Ji drew both blasters and shot the guns out of their hands!

Den had never seen anything like this, not even in en-tertainment holodramas.

The small 3-D image of Ji holstered his weapons again and ran to engage the surprised Salissians in hand-to-hand combat. The first man went down from a hammer fist to the temple; the second caught an elbow to the throat. Then Ji drew his weapons again, so fast that they seemed to just appear in his hands, and fired into the woods at unseen targets.

- Taken from Medstar 1: Battle Surgeons

Ji then blasts the blasters out of 2 mercs hands, before then taking them down in just 1 hit each, then drawing his weapons so fast that they just seemed to appear in his hands, blasting more targets.

A moment passed-then a mercenary pinwheeled into the clearing and hit a patch of rocky ground head-first. Again, the snap of cracking vertebrae was audible.

Another mercenary staggered into view and collapsed, clutching a blackened, smoking wound in his midriff.

Ji backed into the clearing from the woods, a blaster rifle now in hand. He was firing on full auto, hosing more hidden enemies.

- Taken from Medstar 1: Battle Surgeons

Here he is snapping vertebrae and firing full auto from a blaster, hosing more hidden mercs.

More Salissians emerged from the forest, shooting rifles and blasters of various makes. A pellet from a slugthrower hit Ji a glancing blow high on the right leg, ripping open the cloth and the flesh. Blood oozed, soaking his pants. He spun toward the man who'd shot him and blasted him squarely in the face.

Another discharge took Ji low on the right side, vaporizing cloth and punching through his body. Not fa-tal, because the beam's intense heat instantly cauterized the wound, but serious nonetheless. Ji turned calmly and shot his attacker in the chest.

- Taken from Medstar 1: Battle Surgeons

Here he takes a slug to the right leg, yet just spun towards the merc and blasted him in the face. He then takes a blaster shot, which vaporized the cloth and punching through his body, yet he turns calmly to blast the merc.

A large shadow obscured the light. Ji looked up, and the angle of the recording cam tilted as well, to frame a large drop ship hovering about fifty meters overhead. A dozen Separatist soldiers, using repulsor packs, settled down into the clearing, firing as they did so.

Ji shot eight of them, leaping, dodging, and rolling as plasma bursts peppered the ground all around him. It was a Jedi-like display of acrobatic skill, but finally the Separatists found the range. Phow Ji went down in a hail of sizzling blaster bolts.

He lay on the ground, obviously mortally wounded. The remaining soldiers approached him cautiously.

As they reached the dying man, he pulled a thermal grenade from his pocket and held it up. He smiled as he triggered it.

They tried to run, but there was no escape. The grenade blasted the clearing into a blaze of heat and light that, even with the cam's automatic dampers, whited out the 3-D image. When the glare cleared, all that was left of Phow Ji and his enemies was a smoking crater in the damp ground.

- Taken from Medstar 1: Battle Surgeons

A dozen mercs come in with repulsor packs and blasters, Ji killing 8 of them, leaping, dodging and rolling, displaying Jedi like display of acrobatic skill, before finally he went down, triggering a thermal detonator and taking the rest of the mercs with him.

=====

So as one could see, Phow Ji was pretty much a 1 man killing machine, it taking a dozen troops just to kill this one man and even then he took out 8 of them.

Anyway, next up!

Bleyd

The highly evolved Sakyian brain is nearly twice the size of the average human brain. While the Bith brain remains one of the most advanced among the common alien species, the parts of the Sakyian brain that process sensory imput are superior to even to the Bith.

- Taken from Ultimate Alien Anthology

A Sakyian's brain has superior sensory imput to even the Bith.

In fact the Sakyian possess what other species consider nigh-supernatural perception. Sakyian use their acute perception as a limited danger sense, improving their reflexes.

- Taken from Ultimate Alien Anthology

They are considered to have supernatural perception, it being a limited danger sense.

The full-spectrum light in his office was dimmed as a Sakiyan, Admiral Tarnese Bleyd could see farther into the infrared than most beings, and he preferred to spare himself the harsh glare that many of the galaxy's species needed for illumination.

- Taken from Medstar 1: Battle Surgeons

Bleyd, his species specifically can see farther into infrared than most beings.

Bleyd frowned. He knew himself to be one of the Republic's most capable admirals: smart, clever, and deft. Given the proper venue, he could have risen easily to the top of the military's chain of command in short order. Become a fleet commander, at the least; perhaps even a Priority Sector High Commander. But instead, his superiors had seen fit to shunt him to this Maker-forsaken, backrocket planet in the hind end of nowhere.

- Taken from Medstar 1: Battle Surgeons

He was one of the Republic's most capable admirals and could have easily risen to the top of the chain of command in short order.

Mathal nodded. "Smart. You know, when this war is over, you might consider coming to work for Black Sun, Admiral. A being like you could do all right there."

"You are too kind." Bleyd politely gestured for the other to precede him.

- Taken from Medstar 1: Battle Surgeons

Noted by Mathal(A Black Sun member/representative) that he could do well within the organization. This is a pretty good accolade, as the Black Sun only hires the best.

The man from Black Sun couldn't believe it.

"This is a joke, right? You're tapping my buttons."

Bleyd said, "Not in the least." He had disarmed Mathal at blasterpoint, and the man was nearly having a seizure in his disbelief.

- Taken from Medstar 1: Battle Surgeons

Here he had disarmed Mathal of his weapon despite being at blaster point.

Mathal glared. "Yeah? What's to stop me from breaking your neck right now?"

"You could try, even if I didn't have a blaster, but I wouldn't advise it. I am stronger than you, and my heritage is... somewhat fiercer. Your chances of victory would be exceedingly small. Even with the knife and me barehanded, the odds are probably no better than fifty-fifty."

- Taken from Medstar 1: Battle Surgeons

Notes that he is stronger than Mathal and fiercer due to his species, even with Mathal's vibroblade his odds of winning would be no better than 50/50.

Bleyd gave him the rest of the allotted time, enjoying the slight, lingering, sour odor of the man's sweat, then started down the corridor opposite the direction Mathal had taken. The weapon was closer this way, and there were several places wherein he could hide to watch it and wait. He would allow the man to collect the knife that was only fair, since a Sakiyan's muscles and ligament-attachment angles were mechanically superior to those of a human's, making Bleyd at least half again as powerful as a strong man, and a good deal quicker as well.

- Taken from Medstar 1: Battle Surgeons

The muscles and ligaments of a Sakiyan are superior to that of a human, making Bleyd as powerful as a strong man and a quicker as well.

Hardly in Bleyd's class, of course. Bleyd was a first-rate hunter. Armed with naught but a lance, he had stalked Shistavanens on Uvena III. He had taken a rancor with a pulley bow and only three quarrels. He had tracked and killed unrepentant Noghri with a pair of hook-blades whose cutting edges were no longer than his middle fingers.

Noted as a 1st rate hunter, he stalked Shistavanens(wolfmen noted as having highly acute sense of smell and hearing, they train in hunting and tracking, the Empire found them useful to use.).

Killed a rancor with nothing but a pulley bow and three quarrels. (This is ridiculously impressive, given how powerful rancors are)

Tracked and killed unrepentant Noghri. (Highly trained assassins, some of the best, Vader has used them as a personal guard.)

The knife was a good weapon, one of Bleyd's favorites. It had a thick haft; the blade as long as the man's forearm and nearly as wide as his wrist. It was made of hand-forged and folded surgical stain-free flex-steel, a drop-point fighter with a circular guard of flex-bronze and a handle of hard and pebbled black rass bone, so it wouldn't slip in a sweaty or bloody grip. After all, it would hardly be sporting to provide one's prey with a poor weapon. And his research had told him that Mathal was an expert knife fighter. Bleyd knew he would need skill and strength to prevail. Luck was not a factor.

He took a final breath, pivoted the grate cover aside, and dived for the man, headfirst. He screamed the blood cry of his pride:

"Taarrnneeesseee..."

Mathal looked up, terror on his face. Too late, he raised the knife. Bleyd brushed it aside and reached for the man's throat.

Then they were joined...

Getting rid of the body on board the MedStar would have been easy. A little messy work with an industrial vibroblade, then a trip down to the waste station with a bulky, liquid-proof bag, and hatoo! Mathal, the dead human, would be no more than garbage by now, indistinguishable from the rest of the all-purpose trash that was sieved from waste disposers and even-tually spaced.

The admiral first treated his own wounds-Mathal had been skilled enough with a blade to mark him. Bleyd had known that would be the case going in. It was the way of knife fighting-only a fool believed that facing an opponent with a knife would end without bloodshed.

- Taken from Medstar 1: Battle Surgeon

He kills Mathal even when he had a knife and Mathal as noted, was an expert knife fighter and though Bleyd had gotten the drop on him, he was still able to mark him. Which understandable, the Black Sun doesn't have scrubs, it's both impressive for Mathal and for Bleyd.

Bleyd was suddenly across the room and at the Hutt's throat. He'd moved so fast that the moon moth had only registered a blur. "You deserve," the Sakiyan hissed, "to have your innards rearranged, you swamp-sucking-"

He stopped abruptly. Filba's eyes were even more bul-bous and distended than usual. His wide gash of a mouth opened and closed, either questing for air or try-ing to speak, and apparently not succeeding at either.

- Taken from Medstar 1: Battle Surgeons

Here he moves fast enough across a room, being registered as nothing but a blur to a Moon Moth spy droid, holding the Hutt's throat making him unable to breath or speak.

Kaird whipped his hand back suddenly, snapped it forward, and threw the knife-!

It came too fast to dodge. Bleyd instinctively swatted at the incoming weapon, and, with reflexes honed by centuries of natural selection, managed to deflect it - barely. It nicked him on the hand, but that was all. A mere scratch.

- Taken from Medstar 1: Battle Surgeons

Here he deflects a knife using his own knife with reflexes honed by centuries of natural selection. Said knife being thrown by Kaird who was very fast.( Will get to him below.)

=====

Well there's Admiral Bleyd, a pretty good combatant in his own right.

=====

Kaird

Bleyd was immediately beset with the idea of testing himself against the new agent. The Nediji was much faster than he was, and tricky as well. No doubt he was well trained in many combat arts. Avian predators would have a different way of viewing prey than those who were ground-bred. Here was a foe worthy of Bleyd's mettle.

- Taken from Medstar 1: Battle Surgeons

Noted as being a worthy foe for Bleyd and being much faster than he was.

Bleyd shifted his attention to the sound for a heartbeat-The Nediji vanished.

No, that was not strictly true. The being had moved, but so fast that Bleyd couldn't believe what he was seeing. Of a moment, he was sitting on the cot, and then in an eyeblink he stood next to Bleyd, out of the blaster's line of fire, close enough to touch.

Bleyd started to shift his aim, but stopped. If the fellow could move that swiftly in a one-gravity field, he would never be able to line up on him in time if he had a weapon of his own and wanted to use it.

He lowered the blaster.

"Wise move, Admiral."

Bleyd caught a flash of light on something in the Nediji's hand, then whatever it was disappeared.

- Taken from Medstar 1: Battle Surgeons

Here Kraid moves so fast that even Bleyd can't keep up, faster than an eyeblink. Given Bleyd's own speed and reactions, it's pretty impressive.

Kaird laughed again. "Pardon me, but I take my death very personally." And with that he lunged, impossibly fast, and the short knife flicked out in a blur.

Bleyd saw it coming, but even so, he barely had time to get his own knife in position for the block. Durasteel clashed with durasteel, and Kaird hopped back, grinning, before Bleyd could counterattack.

"Just checking to see if you're awake, Admiral."

- Taken from Medstar 1: Battle Surgeons

Moves impossibly fast, his knife flickering in a blur with Bleyd barely having enough time to block it with his own.

"You could have taken me just then," he said. "If you'd come in fast enough, you might have backed me into the corner before I could have maneuvered around you. But you hesitated. And now you've lost."

"Lost? Nothing has changed. I still have you cor-nered." Bleyd smiled, a feral gleam of teeth. "Frankly, I was hoping for more of a fight, Nediji. I expected better of a Black Sun killer. Now we finish this."

"I don't think so," Kaird said. His posture was quite casual now; he could have been carrying on a conversation on a Coruscant street corner. Despite himself, Bleyd felt a slight sting of uneasiness. "Something has changed," the bird-being continued. "Time has passed. And all of a sudden, you feel... tired, don't you, Admiral? As if you can hardly hold your weapons. As if all your strength has been used up."

Bleyd snarled. "Are you a Jedi, to try infantile mind tricks? Trust me, I'm immune to such claptrap."

"But you're not immune to dendriton toxin."

Bleyd blinked. Then, suddenly, the pulse of uneasi-ness bloomed into full-blown shock.

The Nediji's knife! The cut on his hand!

Bleyd gathered himself to charge, but his legs abruptly would no longer obey him. He tried to leap, and instead staggered to one side. Tried to take another step, and his left leg, now completely numb, gave way. He fell to one knee. He kept his grip on the knives, but he was so weak! And now a sudden fire raged within him, roasting his muscles, torching each individual nerve...

Kaird moved toward him, reached out, and took one of the knives from Bleyd's burning fingers. The other one fell from the Sakiyan's nerveless grasp.

"Dendriton toxin is a bad way to go," Kaird said. "Painful, slow-you're literally immolated from inside out. But you were a brave adversary, Admiral, and I ad-mire bravery. So, even though my superiors wish you to suffer, I'll spare you the toxin's effects."

He stepped to the side, caught Bleyd's head in one hand, and tilted it back.

Bleyd felt the touch of the knife against his throat, but it wasn't painful, just cold. An almost pleasant momentary respite from the fiery agony.

His consciousness started to fade, then, the colors of his office leaching into grayness. He realized numbly that he wouldn't be able to cleanse his family's honor. That knowledge hurt even more than the molten venom in his veins.

He managed to shift his eyes, to look at the Nediji before he faded out completely. Kaird gave him a small and slow bow, a final salute that held no mockery.

"Nothing personal," he said.

And the darkness claimed Tarnese Bleyd, forever.

- Taken from Medstar 1: Battle Surgeons

His knife has a toxin, slow and painful making one immolated from the inside out, killing Bleyd with it.

Kaird had not become one of Black Sun's best operatives, an assassin who had taken out scores of the organization's enemies without ever once being arrested or even suspected, by being greedy or stupid. You made a plan. Then you made a backup plan-Then you made a backup plan for the backup plan.

- Taken from Medstar 2: Jedi Healer

Kaird is one of the Black Sun's best operatives in an organization which already hires the best and has them be greater than any other organization operatives. He's taken out scores of Black Sun enemies, without being arrested or even suspected, making a plan, then making a backup plan and then making a backup plan for the backup plan.

Kaird had violet eyes. They were capable of excellent vision; after all, his avian ancestors had evolved on the high, snow-dusted peaks of Nedij, an outlying world on the eastern spinward rim. They had occupied themselves, among other things, with hunting humanoid creatures not unlike the Falleen. His kind no longer possessed the power of flight, and. while he was still stronger and faster than most other beings.

- Taken from Courscant Nights 1: Jedi Twilight

Kaird's species has excellent vision, hunting and his species were stronger and faster than most other beings.

Kaird was well versed in killing matters also, but his training was in methods indirect rather than direct. He could fight, however, when there was no other recourse, and he had no problem at all with fighting dirty.

There was no doubt that Xizor was a formidable opponent. Kaird knew he'd be a fool to try to take him on physically, one-on-one. Fortunately, as an assassin, he had a variety of alternatives. He could easily pick the Falleen off right now, put a load of toxin so virulent in him that he'd literally be dead before he hit the grimy duracrete. But it wasn't going to be that simple. Just as Kaird had access to state-of-the-art weaponry.

- Taken from Courscant Nights 1: Jedi Twilight

He's well versed in killing, indirect more than direct, but even still he could fight if needed and he had no problems with fighting dirty. He has access to state of the art weaponry.

Though he was many generations removed from his ancestors who hunted on the wind, his vision was still that of a raptor: keen enough to spot a shifter lizard blending into its background from a hundred meters away. His gaze found Xizor immediately, even though the latter was two levels below him and on the opposite side.

Xizor, Kaird knew, was the scion of a predatory species as well. Like Kaird, his vision scanned both vertically and horizontally with equal facility. He spotted Kaird almost as quickly as Kaird spotted him.

- Taken from Courscant Nights 1: Jedi Twilight

His vision is just as keen as Xizor's.

Kaird stared in disbelief. The Underlord of Black Sun was the last person he'd expected to see in a run-down, abandoned droid-manufacturing plant in the Factory District. But it was him, there was no disputing that. Kaird was standing less than two meters away, and he was quite familiar with disguises, bodysuits, and the like. He could spot someone so camouflaged far more easily than most could.

- Taken from Courscant Nights 1: Jedi Twilight

Kaird could spot someone camouflaged far easier than most others could.

Kaird could see deeper into both the near infrared and ultraviolet than most species. He could see the heat waves that Perhi's body was shedding, and abruptly realized that they were cycling to extreme degrees between hot and cold.

- Taken from Courscant Nights 1: Jedi Twilight

He can see deeper into both infrared and ultraviolet moreso than other species.

Yet another deadly combatant, Kaird the assassin, one of Black Sun's best.

Egome Fass

Enforcers are generally noted for their physical prowess(the typical Enforcer can usually lift a ton, if not spell it.)

- Taken from Galaxy Guide 11: Criminal Organizations

Egome Fass is an Enforcer, as such it's noted Enforcers are known for their physical prowess and can usually lift 1 ton.

Chewbacca was less fortunate. Preparing to enter the fray, he was unaware that the massive Egome Fass had stolen up behind him. The enforcer's hard fist crashed into the base of the Wookiee's skull. Chewbacca staggered, nearly falling to his knees, but his tremendous strength bore him up again. He turned groggily to give battle, but Egome Fass's first blow had given the enforcer a formidable edge. He avoided Chewbacca's slowed counterpunch and landed another blow, bringing his fist down on the Wookiee's shoulder. And this time the Falcon's first mate went down.

- Taken from Han Solo Trilogy 2, book 3

Egome, 2 shots Chewbacca with hard fist blows, sending the Wookiee to the floor.

Chewbacca would have torn the hysterical woman from his friend, but at the same moment he was struck from be hind, a heavy blow from a thick forearm. The Wookiee fell to his knees, losing his bowcaster, as a huge weight fell upon him: Egome Fass, the enforcer. The two huge creatures rolled over and over, wrestling, tearing at one another.

- Taken from Han Solo Trilogy 2, Book 3

Drops Chewie to his knees with an elbow before falling ontop of him, starting to wrestle with the Wookiee.

Chewbacca and Egome Fass had gone to war. It had been the second time Fuoch's enforcer had struck the Wookiee from behind. What the Falcon's first mate felt now could only pallidly be described as outrage. Han waved Badure off when the old man would have shot Egome Fass. The two punched and grasped at one another while Han leaned against the rail to watch the honor match., "Aren't you going to help him?" Hasti puffed, her face showing the scratches and abrasions of her own match.

- Taken from Han Solo Trilogy 2, Book 3

Egome takes on Chewie who is in a rage, the two trading blows with one another and grasping eachother.

"Chewie wouldn't appreciate that," Han told her, keeping one eye on the rallying of robots at the end of the bridge. But he eased a pistol from Badure's belt in case the match didn't go as it should. Egome Fass had gotten a choke-hold on Chewbacca. Rather than squirm out of it or apply an in-fighting trick, the Wookiee chose to lock both hands on his opponent's arm and turn it into a contest of pure strength. Egome Fass was bulkier, Chewbacca more agile, but the question of brute force was still open. Their arms quivered and muscles jumped in the straining backs. Bit by bit the arm was levered away from Chewbacca's throat. The Wookiee showed his fangs in savage triumph, and burst free of the hold. But Egome Fass wasn't done with tests of strength. He lunged at his antagonist for a -deadly hug. Chewbacca accepted it. They staggered back and forth, first the Wookiee's feet leaving the bridge, then the enforcer's. Both applied their full brawn in fearsome constriction. Egome Fass's feet were lifted clear of the bridge and stayed that way as the Wookiee held him aloft, muscles standing out like cables under Chewbacca's pelt. The enforcer's struggle became more frantic, less aggressive. Panic crept into his movements. Then there was a crack, and Egome Fass's body slumped. Chewbacca let go, and the enforcer slid limply to the bridge's surface.

- Taken from Han Solo Trilogy 2, Book 3

Egome is able to match Chewie's strength, even lifting him off his feet, of course Chewie won in the end. Still that's pretty impressive.

===

Not as big as the others thus far, but regardless a nice showing of just how strong an Enforcer can be.

Eogan Truax

"That?" The boy gave it a sidelong glance. "It's too much! And my arms are already burned out from those dead lifts!"

"Excuses won't save you." Artagan gazed at his son sternly. "Do you wish to survive this place or not?"

Eogan nodded and shut his eyes. He was stripped to the waist, his bare torso pale and nearly hairless. He'd spent the last few hours chasing prison rats across elevated girders, attacking them with both hands tied behind his back. They were large, disgusting things, but they moved fast, and pursuing them required absolute focus and determination.

Afterward he'd practiced punching, kicking, swinging, ducking, lifting, pulling, Artagan coaching his son through the various holds, locks, and attacks that might one day make all the difference in a bout.

- Taken from Maul: Lockdown

Eogan Truax, 16 years old, spends hours chasing large prison rats, noted as quick, then he went onto practicing his fighting abilities, punching, kicking and so on until his arms were burned out from dead lifting.

"Whenever you're ready."

Reclining backward, Eogan tilted his head back and reached for the makeshift crossbar that his father had jimmied up beneath the pallet. Artagan waited while his son tested the bar to make sure the load was balanced, and he watched his son's features tense up in anticipation of the lift.

"Get under it," Artagan said.

"How many?"

"Start with one."

The boy shut his eyes and pushed. Muscles leapt out across his shoulders, chest, and abdomen, biceps straining, arms extending until he held the debris pile at arm's length off the floor. He started to lower it, but Artagan spoke.

"Hold it on my count."

Eogan didn't argue. The load trembled. The boy's jaw clenched, fighting gravity and fatigue every passing second. Throughout it all, Artagan stood over him without expression, watching the weakness drain from his son's body, feeling the familiar mingling of deep pride and dismay that came with the realization of how hard the boy was working, and ultimately how little it mattered.

Eogan grunted. "Father-"

"Five more seconds," Artagan said. "You can do it."

The boy tucked his chin. By now his face had gone a dark, plummy shade of scarlet, all the way up to his hairline. Veins stood out in his temples. A slight, involuntary whimper escaped his throat, and Artagan heard the load beginning to rattle as the boy's arms trembled harder than ever, threatening collapse.

"I can't-"

"Two more seconds," Artagan told him. "Oneÿ..." He nodded. "That's enough."

The load dropped with a crash, and Eogan let out a gasp of relief, sitting up slowly, rubbing his shoulders, and trembling with the lactic acid buildup in his muscles. Artagan tossed him the towel and waited while the boy mopped his face and glanced back at the cube before finally lifting his gaze to look up at Artagan. His face was pale now, drained but clearly pleased.

"How much?" Eogan asked.

"A hundred and twenty."

"I've never lifted that much before!"

"You asked for a true test," Artagan said. "I gave you one." Reaching down to ruffle his son's sweaty hair.

- Taken from Maul: Lockdown

Here he holds 120 load for 7 seconds, this right after his muscles having his arms burned out from dead lifting, chasing rats and practicing combat.

"Now," he said, "the Fifty-Two Fists."

Eogan's eyes widened. "Father..."

"Now."

Reluctantly the boy assumed the position of readiness, neck straight, body rigid, arms upraised, a veil of doomed hopelessness already descending over his face. Comprising a blizzard of lightning-fast attacks over a period of less than five seconds, the attack known as Fifty-Two Fists required total commitment to absolute destruction of the opponent. Done properly, it could kill a man three times Eogan's size and weight. But the slightest tremor of intent left its unlucky practitioner wide open to all manner of retribution.

"Now," Artagan said.

The boy launched himself at his father, arms scissoring in a blur of punches. At first the results appeared promising. But all too quickly, Artagan saw a hole, lunged forward, and threw his son to the floor.

Eogan lay supine, gasping for air, eyes shining, cheeks and forehead blazing. Only now did the anger come, belated, impotent.

- Taken from Maul: Lockdown

Here Eogan tries the Fifty-Two-Fists, even in his exhausted state he is able to leave a blur of punches, though he had yet to fully grasp the technique.

The Fifty-Two-Fists being noted as a blizzard of attacks over a period of less than 5 seconds. Properly it would kill a man three times Eogan's size and weight.

Eogan shook his head.

Not anymore.

Something changed inside him, something deep and final. Without even being aware that he was doing so, he leapt forward and felt his body-his muscles and his adrenaline and the very blood in his veins-flying into motion, launching into a series of lightning-fast strikes.

Every part of him was in motion at once, fists and feet swinging out, delivering a blizzard of punches and kicks that seemed to connect with the six blind men simultaneously in a blur of speed and shattering bone. They were falling at either side of him now, their blades clattering to the cell floor, and Eogan knew that up until this moment, if he'd ever attempted such an assault, he almost certainly would have died. It was nothing like what he'd imagined-as if he'd given up his body and had been brought back to life by something profoundly faster and more powerful than himself, resurrected for a singular moment of triumph.

When it was over, he dropped his fists to his sides and stood gasping amid a pile of bodies, his arms soaked in blood to the elbows.

- Taken from Maul: Lockdown

Here Eogan is able to pull off the Fifty-Two-Fists, every part being in motion at once, taking down 6 inmates simultaneously in a blur, shattering bones.

Short appearance, but that kid is deadly none the less.

Found another recently, a Anomid Imperial Assassin by the name of Edge!

Edge

She had no chance to answer. The lift doors slid open. Outside, in the corridor leading to the Millennium Falcon's berth, was a tall Anomid dressed in some sort of formfitting metalloid body armor. The lower half of his face was concealed by the typical vocalizer mask his species-which had no vocal cords-wore to enable communication with other species. But it was what he carried in one six-fingered hand that caught Dash's immediate attention: a Kerestian darkstick-its long, sharp-tipped blade curved like the talon of some mythical beast. Nor was that the end of his weaponry. A repulsor razor-thrower and a Wookiee ryyk blade dangled from his belt, and a force pike and a Morgukai cortosis staff were crossed on his back, their handgrips extending up behind his head.

Dash took in all this in a heartbeat, which was all the time he had to shove Javul back into the lift and yell, "Emergency close!" as he dived in behind her. As the door slid shut, he saw the glint in the Anomid's orange eyes, saw the arc of the Kerestian weapon as the assassin whipped it toward them, heard it strike the door.

The tip punched through the five-centimeter-thick durasteel as if it were paper, driving a good part of its length into the lift, level with Dash's eyes.

- Taken from Shadow Games

What he caries really, body armor, a Kerstian darkstick, a repulsor razor thrower, a Wookiee Ryyk blade, a Force Pike and a Morgukai cortosis staff. The darkstick easily being able to penetrate 5 centimeter thick durasteel as if it were paper.

As if to illustrate, Han raised his heavy blaster and fired a series of shots down the corridor.

Dash looked up, seeking his target. The assassin had just left the shelter of the Bay 2 docking port and was making his way toward them along the wall. One hand was extended in front of him, palm out. The other was reaching for another of the weapons on his belt. Neither the particle beam from Han's blaster nor the energy bolts from Eaden's seemed to have much effect on the Anomid, save to slow him down. As Dash watched, he saw another energy bolt, fired by either Eaden or Mel, hit an invisible something a few centimeters in front of the Anomid's outstretched palm.

"Personal shield!" shouted Dash over the sound of blaster volleys.

Dash obliged, fanning his shots as Han dropped to his belly, aiming his blaster along the floor. He could see that the Anomid had a new weapon mounted on the back of his right hand. A flex-tube ran from it down his index finger. It was a dart spitter.

- Taken from Shadow Games

He also has a personal shield, which protects him from blasters, as shown when Han and Eaden's shots didn't have any effect. He also has a dart spitter.

He stood, frozen in apparent mechanical confusion, as Edge drew a large-bore dart shooter from his belt and aimed at the holographic Javul as if he could see the real woman at the heart of the projection.

Eaden, uttering a freakish sound that would have put the fear of the Force into a bull wampa, flew out of nowhere to land gracefully atop the 3C security walk, no more than a meter from Edge. The assassin barely flinched, but it was enough to allow the ter?s k?si master to dive, catch the edge of the catwalk roof, and swing his long legs in a swift arc that ended in Edge's midsection. The Anomid was bowled backward over the rail. His dart gun-a heavy Velocity-7-rattled to the catwalk floor, half dangling by the cable he'd run out to the crystal Helix.

- Taken from Shadow Games

He also carries a Velocity 7 dart gun.

Dash became one with the deck, willing himself to be flat enough to avoid the darts. When they stopped coming, he hauled Han to his feet and ran. Eaden was already in motion, scuttling sideways down the corridor. And now Mel and Javul-who'd reached the relative safety of the docking port-laid down a barrage of fire that might have an effect.

As Dash rounded the corner into the docking ring, he glanced back up the terminal at the fallen Anomid. He'd been hit several more times, and the armor along his back was smoking in places. Blood the color of sunset's last gasp oozed from the shin guard Han's careful shot had pierced.

The momentary sense of victory and safety Dash felt was crushed by his last sight of the assassin. He'd raised his pale lavender head from the floor and, just for a second, Dash felt the venom of his gaze. The message conveyed was clear:

This is not over.

- Taken from Shadow Games

He gets shot in the shin, then several more times, his armor smoking. Yet it wasn't over.

"I have met Edge before. He... he assassinated the head of my order."

Suddenly all eyes were on the Nautolan, a situation that he obviously found disturbing.

"Your teras kasi order?" asked Dash.

Eaden nodded. "I am... was... a member of a religious order called Hidden Hand. All were at least minimally Force-sensitive. Some time ago-when the Empire implemented Order 66, wiping out the Jedi-the Hidden Hand was targeted as well because of our potential to wield the Force. They systematically hunted us down and exterminated us, one by one, until only three initiates and our master, Neaed Fisto, remained."

"Fisto?" repeated Dash. "Any relation to General Fisto?"

Kit Fisto, Jedi Master, was famous (or infamous, depending on your point of view) for his marshaling of Republic forces during the Clone Wars. He'd later served on the Jedi Council until its destruction by the Emperor. Who knew he'd had relatives back on the Nautolan homeworld?

Eaden nodded. "A brother of his mother. An uncle, I believe you would say. The Force was, perhaps, as strong in my master as it was in Kit Fisto. Neaed was an impressive being and so much a mentor to my family that my mother chose to name me after him."

"This Edge character murdered him?" Han asked, dropping onto a small container that had been repurposed as a stool.

"Yes. I was present in the clan house of our order when Edge came for my master. Neaed Fisto sacrificed himself that I and the other initiates might escape."

Dash could only guess at the depth of feeling behind the simple words. Eaden was unmatched in the art of hiding his emotions when he wanted to.

- Taken from Shadow Games

Edge killed Neaed Fisto, who was related to Kit Fisto and who had a Force connection that was just perhaps as strong as Kit himself. Neaed being a master of Teras Kasi, yet Edge was able to kill him.

Edge loomed just below them now. Clinging to the Helix with his legs, he reared back, now with a vibroblade in each hand. Javul opened her eyes again and, for a breath, the assassin was caught in the blaze of her regard before the knives descended.

Dash had one charge left in the Q2. He aimed, willing his hand to be steady-

As he squeezed the trigger, the assassin swept upward with one long arm, lunging as he did. He caught the muzzle of the hold-out blaster with the vibroblade's tip and knocked it away, his blade continuing downward to slice through the calf of Dash's boot and into his flesh. Dash roared in pain and jerked his legs upward.

The masked face loomed over him, eyes blazing.

The ululating sound that cut through the air was one Dash had expected never to hear again. For a split second he thought Edge was making it. But then the Anomid was broadsided by another large body. Dash recognized the mass of tresses and the huge, seemingly lidless eyes of a Nautolan.

"Never turn your back on an enemy," Eaden rasped as his arm came around the assassin's neck. "Especially a dead one." Then the momentum of his attack broke Edge's hold, and carried both men off the crystal Helix and into the darkness below.

Javul closed her eyes, her body going limp beneath Dash's. They swung back and forth in the dark for several more moments before the Helix trembled yet again, then tilted crazily, finally coming to a stop on an off-kilter diagonal, its lower end at last tethered by a grapple.

"It's over," murmured Javul.

Dash barely heard her. His one good eye was trying to find the spot in the moonlit gray cloud-tops below where Eaden Vrill and the assassin had fallen. He hoped that his friend had died before he hit the ground.

- Taken from Shadow Games

He also has a pair of vibroblades, he stops Dash Rendar's Q2 hold-out blaster, knocking it away and then slicing through Dash's calf, through the boot and into his flesh. Edge then gets blind sided by Eaden(student of Neaed Fisto and also master of Teras Kasi) and then two get sent over a railing to their suppose deaths.

Breath knocked from his body, he looked down between his knees-and saw the impossible. Edge-battered, torn, but still alive-was rising out of the cargo compartment like an avenging demon, his body armor holed and awry. He wielded a cortosis staff in one hand and a darkstick in the other. Dash saw immediately that the Anomid assassin had not made the same mistake twice-the end of the darkstick's horrific claw dripped with a red liquid Dash knew was lethal.

He pushed himself farther up the access and scrabbled for his laser pistol, only to recall as it met his hand that the Alderaanians had removed its power cell and he hadn't yet reloaded.

No time for that now. The big Anomid already loomed over him, one knee on the edge of the cargo compartment. Without warning the assassin swept the cortosis staff toward Dash's midsection, its plasma blade spitting fire. Dash lashed out with booted feet. His heel connected with Edge's left hand. The staff spun from his grip, searing across the top of Dash's left thigh. He gasped in pain and kicked again, knocking the staff away, but Edge had the darkstick raised, ready to strike.

Dash met the strange orange eyes. They had been cold before-implacable, emotionless. Now they were filled with fire. This had obviously become personal. Edge probably wasn't used to having his prey skitter to safety or unseat him not once, but twice.

Dash felt a supreme sense of betrayal in the frozen moment before the darkstick began its downward descent toward his heart. Not his own betrayal, but Eaden's. He was angry. Angry that the Universe-or the Force or the Deity or whatever-had allowed Eaden to die and this death machine to survive. The injustice was galling and Dash roared aloud with it.

From out of nowhere, Leebo's pet MSE droid shot through from one side of the corridor to the other. The sudden, unexpected movement distracted Edge-only momentarily, but that was all that was needed. Two pulses of light flashed from behind the Anomid. One energy bolt hit his shoulder where the armor had been shot away. The other caught him with pinpoint accuracy in the back of the neck where the body armor met his helm. He jerked upright, his knees slipping from the rim of the compartment.

Han! Dash felt a surge of relief... until Edge toppled forward, the darkstick continuing its downward plunge.

Dash rolled half on his left side and the weapon's tip buried itself in the deck plating, roughly where his right lung would have been. He looked down the length of his body. The Anomid was laid out with his head between Dash's feet, his long, muscular arm stretched upward, his hand still clutching the weapon. His body was smoking where the energy bolts had caught him. Dash gagged on the smell of burned flesh.

The big sentient quivered, not yet done, and tried to push himself up.

"Oh, blast it!" said a voice from the main corridor. Two more energy bolts took out the hydraulic assists on the cargo compartment's hatch.

The heavy durasteel deck plate dropped shut, crushing the Anomid's lower body. He made a horrible, strangled bleat of rage and pain and looked up at Dash through those burning eyes. With a last, tremendous effort, Edge pulled the tip of the darkstick out of the decking, its tip dripping venom. He lifted it high, preparing to swing it at Dash-

And died.

Dash saw the light go out of his eyes, draining away like water from a broken bowl, and was glad he hadn't witnessed that moment with Eaden. The thought of it would haunt him anyway.

Edge went limp, his hand releasing the darkstick, which clattered to the deck. His body released its last breath.

- Taken from Shadow Games

Yet nope...Edge was still alive, battered, his armor wrecked and his darkstick dripping with blood as he had killed Eaden. He goes after Dash, yet because he's the bad guy he eventually does get shot from behind and promptly dies.

Star Wars: Ewok respect thread(Legends Canon)

I know what you're thinking and yes....it's a respect blog for Ewoks. It's come to my attention that people just judge them as being weak and innocent just from their mere appearance, the quote "don't judge a book by its cover" really applies to Ewoks here. This blog will show that Ewoks are cunning, fierce and strong fighters and by the end of this blog, I'm sure to have changed a lot of minds on the capabilities of the Ewok...so let us begin!

Note: Didn't include ROTJ movie gifs, cause those are kinda obvious to everyone, this is new info for all.

Intelligent, furred bipdeals standing at one meter tall, they are brave, suspicious and alert. Although technologically primitive, Ewoks are clever and inventive. They are experts at creating tools, weapons, traps and other contraptions, using wood, cloth, vines and stone. They can even learn to operate some machines and fire blasters, but they are more proficent by far with their traditional bows and slings.

The Ewok's heightened sense of smell compensates for somewhat poor vision. A sixth sense, perhaps rudimentary Force sense, alerts them to danger as if they could smell it in the air.

I've seen the holo-thrillers, and those directors should admit they're paid to tell New Republic lies. They make those things- those Ewoks- look cute, like stuffed toys. I was there, Miss Towani. They weren't anything close to cute.

The first wave of troopers died with arrows through the gaps of their armor. The indigenes were primitive, but later I read about the bows they'd used, how they were engineered for immense leverage. I saw troopers falling with arrows that had gone completely through their throats. They were the lucky ones- some of our men took what looked like minor wounds, and minutes later they were clawing their helmets off and gasping for air. The abos had dipped their arrows in some kind of nerve toxin that paralyzed every muscle in the body. Troopers who got hit suffocated because their lungs wouldn't work. I saw dying men staring at the sun, trying to blink.

Some of our men chased the indigenes into the woods and fell into hidden pits lined with stakes fixed in the ground. Scout Troopers flew into trip wires that broke their necks. Elsewhere the indigenes overpowered troopers through sheer numbers, holding them down until they got their helmets off and other abos could kill them with stone axes and knives made of volcanic glass.

And every time one of our men fell, the indigenes had another blaster. They knew every tree and rock, and they picked us off one by one.

You look like you don't believe me, but I was there. I saw what those Ewoks did. The historians love to talk about alleged Imperial atrocities, but what about what I saw on the Forest Moon? They slaughtered us like animals, Miss Towani. Shouldn't that count as an atrocity?

- Taken from Hume Tarl, survivor of the Battle of Endor

An interview from a survivor of Endor, the Ewok bows were designed around immense leverage, arrows getting shot through Stormtrooper necks, said arrows even minor wounding were coated in a nerve toxin, paralyzing their bodies and suffocating because their lungs wouldn't work.

They set traps such as pit falls with stakes in the ground, trip wires which broke Scout Trooper necks, overpowering troopers with sheer numbers, taking their helmets off and bashing their heads with axes made of stone and knives made of volcanic glass.

They knew every tree and every rock, picking them off.

Star Wars: Sand People/Tusken Raider Respect Thread(EU Canon)

Well it's that time once again folks, another RT blog and this time it's of the nomadic, primitive people the Sand People or as they have been nicknamed Tusken Raiders. These people have to be my top favorite indigenous SW people, so let's get to it and see how great they are!

Sourcebook/Guide Quotes

Although they are guarded by adults, the children are not considered real people until they have survived the rite of passage that all must undergo. Many do not make it, but rather than regretting this, the Sand People take pride in the fact only the fittest survive.

- Taken from Fact File 42

Only the fittest of Sand People survive their passage into adulthood.

To be accepted as an adult Tusken is no easy thing. Adolescents must carry out a feat of daring and skill, and survive to tell the tale. An old tale tells of the time four of them banded together and slew a krayt dragon without any help from their banthas.

- Taken from Fact File 42

To be accepted isn't easy, having to perform a daring feat of skill and survive to tell the tale. An example being a group of 4 took down a krayt dragon without any help from their banthas.

With their weapons culled from dead moisture farmers or stolen from nearby dwellings, Tusken Raiders adapted to the use of initially unfamiliar arms with alarming speed. Even more impressive was their ability to develop a high level of marksmanship, given how little most Sand People understood rifle technology.

- Taken from Fact File 83

They adapted rifle technology at an alarming rate, despite how little they understood it and more impressive they developed a high level of marksmanship.

Blessed with innate battle instincts, Tusken Raiders are adept at mastering any scavenged munitions and making their own. Their weapon of choice however, is the rifle, which the tribeman operate with alarming speed.

- Taken from Fact File 83

They have innate battle instincts and can master any scavenged munitions.

Typical of the slugthrower variety, these long-range weapons include a magnetic pulse accelerator. Ammunition is mainly limited to the generic slugthrower variety, though in rare cases, tribes have acquired explosive slugs. The Sand People fix telescopic sights with leather straps for consistent aiming, result may look clumsy but the effects are highly deadly.

- Taken from Fact File 83

Tribes have also acquired(abit rare) explosive slug rounds and have fixed telescopic sights which are deadly effective.

From an early age, Tusken warriors are trained in the use of the gaffi stick. Engaging in savage duels with each other for combat training. The gaffi stick can quickly be mastered as a brutally efficient killing tool.

- Taken from Fact File 61

At an early age they fight in savage duels for combat training, mastering the gaffi stick.

Many a moisture farmer met his or her end at the end of a gaffi stick, the weapon was designed to pierce flesh and crack skulls.

- Taken from Fact File 61

The gaffi stick can pierce flesh and crack skulls.

Constructed using krayt dragon horns, durasteel tubing, salavaged starship plating or other metals, these crude weapons are extremely deadly and take advantage of the Sand Peoples’ preference for stealth and surprise. Although each gaffi stick can be personalized, most follow a similar design in that one end usually consists of an extremely sharp axe blade with a pointed tip, while the other end sports a spiked club.

- Taken from Fact File 61

Constructed with krayt dragon horn, durasteel tubing and other metals. extremely deadly having an axe blade with a pointed tip on one end, the other having a spiked club.

A gaffi stick’s blade has been reportedly sharp enough to slice a blaster in two with a single stroke. Alternatively, gaffi sticks with club heads are frequently used to knock targets unconscious or break apart larger objects, such as droids, speeders and moisture vaporators.

- Taken from Fact File 61

The blade is sharp enough to cut a blaster in two with one stroke, while the club heads can knock out targets or break apart large objects.

In addition Sand People are known to dip their pointed tips in sandbat venom to improve their chances of severely wounding or killing an opponent.

- Taken from Fact File 61

They also are known to dip the pointed ends in sandbat venom.

The gaffi stick can be wielded one handed, or double handed, depending on the combat scenario. A double handed blow is difficult to block and can be powerful enough to shatter an opponents skull.

Novel/Gif/Comic feats

"There they are!" Sholh Dorr cried, pointing straight ahead, while keeping his speeder bike at full throttle.

The twenty-nine others saw the target, the rising dust of a line of walking banthas. With a co mmunal roar, the outraged farmers pressed on, determined to exact revenge, determined to rescue Shmi, if she was still alive among this band of Tusken Raiders.

Amidst the roar of engines and cries of revenge, they swept down the descending wash, closing fast on the banthas, eager for battle.

Cliegg pumped his head, growling all the while, as if pleading with his speederbike to accelerate even more. He swerved in from the left flank, cutting into the center of the formation, then lowered his head and opened the speederbike up, trying to catch the lead riders. All he wanted was to be in the thick of it, to get his strong arms about a Tusken throat.

The banthas were clearly in sight, then, along with their robed riders. Another cry went up, one of revenge.

One that fast turned to horror.

The leading edge of the farmer army plowed headlong into a wire cleverly strung across the field, at neck height to a man riding a speeder bike.

Cliegg's own cry also became one of horror as he watched the decapitation of several his friends and neighbors, as he watched others thrown to the ground.

- Taken from Attack of the Clones Novel

Several farmers are decapitated from wire that was strung across the field as the 30 farmers went after a group of Tuskens to rescue Shmi.

"We can't live huddled in fear!" Cliegg scolded, but he calmed at once and turned back to Anakin. "All signs were that we'd chased the Tuskens away. We didn't know how strong this raiding band was-stronger than anything any of us have ever seen. Thirty of us went out after Shmi. Four of us came back."

Anakin traveled through great canyons of multicolored stone, across dunes of blowing and shifting sand, and along an ancient, long-dry riverbed. His only guide was the sensation of Shmi, of her pain. But it was not a definitive homing beacon, and though he suspected he was moving in the general direction, the landscape of Tatooine was vast and empty, and none knew how to hide among the sand and stones better than the Tusken Raiders.

- Taken from Attack of the Clones novel

Of the 30 that went after Shmi, only 4 survived, Also noted that no one knew how to hide better in the sands than Tusken Raiders.

A'Yark charged toward the old farmer who had given the cry. The raider's metal gaderffii smashed into the human's naked chin, shattering bone. A'Yark surged forward, knocking the victim to the ground. The settler struggled, coughing as he tried to repeat the cry. "Tuskens!"

Years earlier, other settlers had given that name to the Sand People who obliterated Fort Tusken. The raiders back then had welcomed the name into their tongue; it was proof the walking parasites had nothing the Sand People could not take. But A'Yark couldn't stand to hear the proud name in the mouths of the appalling creatures-and few were as ugly as the bloody settler now writhing on the sand. The human was ancient. Apart from a bandage from a recent head injury, his whitish hairs and withered flesh were exposed to the sky. It was horrible to see.

A'Yark plunged the hefty gaderffii downward, its metal flanges crushing against the settler's rib cage. Bones snapped. The weapon's point went fully through, grinding against the stone surface beneath. The old settler choked his last. The Tusken name again belonged only to the Sand People.

- Taken from Kenobi

Showing how good the gaderffi(gaffi stick) is, it shatters a man's chin and then snaps his rib cage, the pointed tip going straight through.

A weapon stood beside the doorway leading outside. The old human's, left by accident? Rifle to silvery mouthpiece, A'Yark sniffed.

No. With one swift motion, A'Yark smashed the weapon against the doorjamb. The rifle had been used to kill a Tusken. The smell of sweat from another day still clung to the stock. It differed from the old human's scent, and that of the white creature the settlers called a Bith. Someone else was here. But the rifle could not be used now, nor ever again.

- Taken from Kenobi

Here a tusken with one blow, destroys a rifle making it unusable.

I'm here to protect the child. When it comes to the Tuskens, the locals' help might come in handy. It's a threat they're familiar with. I had a brush with the Sand People years earlier, when you and I brought Padme here; they're formidable warriors. If something happens such that I can't continue my watch-

- Taken from Keniboi

Noted by Kenobi as being formidable warriors.

And then Biggs saw it too. A Tusken Raider, standing on the rocks less than three meters away from them, close enough that they could smell his filthy robes. He was clutching a gaderffi, a long metal weapon with a sharp-tipped spear on one end and a blunt club on the other. He was poised to attack.

Although Luke and Biggs were carrying rifles, they both knew that Tuskens were notoriously fast. There was a definite possibility that the Tusken might deal a deadly blow with his gaderffi before either of them could fire a shot.

- Taken from ANH: The life of Luke Skywalker

Noted as being notoriously fast and that even with rifles, it was a definite possibility that Luke or Biggs would be hit with the gaffi stick before they could get a shot off.

Biggs muttered, “Blast them and their ability to pop up out of nowhere.” He placed one foot forward, bracing himself to jump back, as he said, “Move away from me, Luke, so instead of swinging that gaderffi, he’ll be forced to throw —“

Biggs was still talking as the Tusken flung the gaderffi. Biggs tried to dodge it. He failed.

“No!” Luke shouted as the gaderffi struck Biggs. Biggs stumbled back, and the heavy spear fell away from his body.

A Tusken throws his gaffi stick at Biggs who tried to dodge, getting struck in the shoulder and stumbling.

“Good shootin’, hotshot,” Biggs said as Luke helped him to his feet. “He only got my shoulder.” Suddenly, Biggs trembled. “But from the way I f-feel, that point may have been dipped in sand bat venom.”

“Hang on, Biggs,” Luke said, helping him walk to the skyhopper.

- Taken from ANH: The life of Luke Skywalker

Noted said stick was dipped in sandbat venom.

But as he steered the T-16 up through the opening, he received an unexpected greeting. A Tusken Raider scouting party was waiting outside the cavern, and, hearing his skyhopper’s approach, they raised their pilfered blaster rifles and fired.

Luke angled up and away from the Tuskens, but a moment later he heard a hammering sound from behind as blasterfire struck one of the T-16’s afterburners. He knew that the skyhopper was bound to catch fire from the assault, but he held tight to the controls as he launched forward at top speed, heading southwest.

He rocketed over the Mospic High Range and Bestine and was angling toward Anchorhead when a warning light flashed. His starboard airfoil was on fire. As smoke trailed from behind the T-16, he feared the craft might explode. He knew that his best chance to prevent an explosion was to plow the skyhopper into the sand, and not near a heavily populated area.

The Sand People were great warriors; they fought creatures many times their size, slaughtered entire settlements, tamed wild banthas.

- Taken from Tales of the Mos Eisley Cantina

Noted as great warriors, fighting creatures many times their size, slaughtering entire settlements and taming banthas.

But unless the cliff magically swallowed them up, they'd be in plain sight when the gang of Tusken Raiders arrived. And, unarmed, they'd be an easy target.

Not unarmed, Luke thought. I have my lightsaber.

A lot of good it would do him against a horde of determined Sand People. Luke had heard rumors of the Tusken Raiders flaying their victims, tossing their corpses to the banthas. If he and Jaxson were here when the Sand People arrived, it wouldn't be a fight, it would be a massacre.

"We should run for it," Jaxson urged. "Now, before it's too late."

Luke shook his head. "It's wide open out there. They'll spot us, and then it's over."

- Taken from Rebel Forces: Renegade

Even with Luke having a lightsaber, it wouldn't be a fight against a horde of Sand People, he and Jaxson would have been massacred. Jaxson being described as having broad, muscular arms and able to one shot a man, sending him tumbling back into a table and able to throw Luke around with one arm.

As I gather myself for a combination move that will strike him down, several other Sand People suddenly appear out of nowhere. They spill out from behind dunes, underneath sand, from what appear to be mere cracks in the cliff face.

It is then that I recall another lesson about the Sand People: they travel in single file to hide their numbers.

There are at least thirty of them. They are all heading for me.

Entry Eight

Impossible as it may seem, I have made an error. Out of impatience or a residue of exhaustion, who can say.

The Sand People advance on me angrily. In their breath masks and goggles they are protected from the sand that now stings my eyes and clogs my mouth.

The howling intensifies. The Raiders shake their gaderffii and begin to surround me. There are just too many of them. I can take out four or five in the flicker of an eyelash, but that will just infuriate the rest.

Frustration boils inside me. These interruptions deflect me from my mission.

Star Wars: Rebel Trooper/Rebel SpecForce respect thread!(Legends canon)

So yes folks, another Non-Force User respect thread. This time however, we shall be looking into the Rebel Alliance!

Specifically the Rebel Troopers/Rebel SpecForce. I'm pretty much putting them under the same banner to make things easier and not having to make 2 separate blogs, plus the two are sort of the same anyway and the true threat to the Empire were the SpecForce branches not so much the regulars.

So let's get to it!

=======

Rebel Trooper

Outnumbered, outgunned, yet their courage and camaraderie keeps them fighting.
Outnumbered, outgunned, yet their courage and camaraderie keeps them fighting.

Sourcebook/Guide Quotes

New Rebels learn how to fight very quickly and they have a will to learn that is second to none. Rebel soldiers often learn under adverse conditions(ie: active combat) with little to no immediate reward.

- Taken from Galaxy Guide: A New Hope

Rebel troopers often learn by doing pretty much in the thick of combat and their willingness to learn is second to none.

Alliance basic training follows the standard format created hundreds if not thousands of years ago. The recruits are put through a grueling 8 weeks of physical training, learning their bodies' strength and weaknesses, learning the basic skills necessary to any soldier.

- Taken from Rebel Alliance Sourcebook, 2nd editon

Though they do also have a regular training format of 8 weeks of grueling training, learning the basics.

Rebel warriors must be constantly alert and improvising, Rebel platoons are often given their assignments at a moment's notice. Therefore it is obvious, that the best Rebels are the jack of all trades, the ones who can make a difference no matter where they are or what they are up against.

- Taken from Galaxy Guide: A New Hope

The Rebels have to constantly be alert and improvising, becoming jack of all trades and able to make a difference no matter where they are or what they are up against. This is ridiculously impressive, given that at a moment's notice, they can come up with something literally on the fly and take their enemies by surprise or able to adapt very quickly to any situation.

Rebels actually care about who they're working with and what pains or joys their friends are feeling. They make strong friendships with last unto death and Alliance commanders make sure that good teams stick together. They are inventive, easy going, ferocious in combat and although they don't have a wish to die, they aren't necessarily afraid of it either.

- Taken from Galaxy Guide: A New Hope

They form strong bonds together, teams stick together, they are inventive and ferocious in combat and they don't fear death.

"You can afford to take chances.. In fact given the real disadvantages under which you operate, you have to take changes. Do so. But do so in a smart manner. Keep one step ahead of your enemy. You and your troops have been specifically trained to be flexible, to be smart and to take advantage of every opportunity that arises. Learn how your enemy thinks."

- Taken from Madine's Rules of War- Rebel Alliance Sourcebook 2nd edition

Trained to be flexible, to be smart and take advantage of every opportunity that comes up, they have to be one step ahead of their enemies and learn how they think.

"Here, as in all your military endeavors, do not match your strength against the enemy's. Hit them where he is weak, make him attack you where you are strong. Give up ground when necessary; the enemy's forward progress may give you the opportunity to launch a devastating counterattack."

- Taken from Madine's Rules of War- Tactics- Rebel Alliance Sourcebook 2nd edition

Instead of matching their enemy strength, they hit them where the enemy is weak and make them attack where they are strong, if need be give up their position and set for a devastating counterattack.

"The second lesson of Tiems: training pays off. The Alliance troops performed brilliantly. The battalions on the left and right flank held their own against twice their number for over 2 hours, allowing time for a trap to develop. The battalions in the center put up a strong show of resistance to the main attack, taking tremendous casulties and then when the time was right, pulled back to the town in good order. This maneuver could have only been performed by highly-trained, highly-motivated and well-led troops: others would have most certainly disintegrated."

- Taken from Madine's Rules of War- Tactics- Rebel Alliance Sourcebook 2nd edition

So during the Battle of Tiems, two Rebel Battalions held off an Imperial force that was 2x their number for 2 hours as Alliance forces worked themselves to get off planet. Noted it could only have been done by highly trained, motivated and well led troopers, whereas others would have just disintegrated.

Folks a Rebel Battalion is only 576 men.

Battalion(576 troopers)

- Taken from Rebellion Era campaign guide.

Do the math now the battalions held their own against a larger and much better armed force for over 2 hours. That is completely ridiculous and shows just how far their jump into combat training, bonds and ingenuity goes.

To the Alliance strategists, there is nothing more flexible, practical or dangerous than a well-trained, reasonably armored trooper, willing and able to operate alone or in small groups. The Imperials rely upon specialized heavy equipment, the Alliance counters with its best asset, the bravery and intelligence of its soldiers.

- Taken from Rebel Alliance Sourcebook 2nd edition

The best asset the Alliance has is their troopers, which are practical, smart, flexible and dangerous, able to operate alone or in small groups.

Rebel SpecForce

No Caption Provided

Sourcebook/Guide Quotes

SpecForce became the branch the Empire feared most. When Imperial propaganda mentioned "Rebel terrorists" they meant Specforce, the branch of the Alliance that the Empire's military feared most.

- Taken from Rules of Engagement

The Empire feared the Rebel SpecForces not the regulars that the Alliance had. This is pretty notable, given that above the Rebel Trooper are already jack of all trades and could improvise on the spot. Yet the Empire was more feared with their SpecForces.

"Your candidacy for Specforce training is itself a mark of a superior soldier."- From standard acceptable holo to SpecForce candidates

Once selected for special forces, the candidate goes through another round of advanced drop training. Standards are very high in every area, the washout rate is equally high. Failure in the entrance program offers no stigma, simply being accepted to a special forces program is the mark of a superior soldier.

- Taken from Rules of Engagement

Standards are high, even just having been accepted gives the mark of being superior to other troopers.

Fundamentals Specforce training exercises including two months of weapons drill in blasters, slugthrowers and heavy weaponry, and hand weapons. The trainees perform numerous deployment simulations: overland marches, stealth drills. drop-ship and para-sail deployments and so on.

As training progresses, the trainees go through increasingly difficult scenarios including life fire drills and failure rigged reenactments, finishing with an extremely realistic war game.

- Taken from Rules of Engagement

2 months of exercises with blasters, slugthrowers, heavy weapons and hand weapons. Going on various simulations which get more and more difficult until the end with a realistic war game.

Once trained to a peak in fundamental skills, special forces trainees are sent to their final camp for "finishing and polishing" in a particular area of expertise.

- Taken from Rules of Engagement

Their skills are trained to peak performance before going on to a area of expertise.

The average Specforce trooper is a little older than a Rebel soldier, has better than average intelligence and physical ability. A large percentage of Specforce troops are former Imperial soldiers.

- Taken from Rules of Engagement

They are smarter and more physical than Rebel Troopers, with a large number of them being former Imperial Troopers.

Now folks bury this in your head. The average SpecForce trooper, is better than a Rebel Trooper...ones who are highly adaptable in combat, someone who can come up with *** out of their pants and make a difference.

An experience Specforce trooper is likely to be adapt at a wide variety of skills and operations, and has probably been crossed trained to specialist levels in other fields(medical, technical or operational.)

- Taken from Rules of Engagement

Experienced SpecForce are likely to have adapted in a wide variety of skills and operations, being crossed trained to specialist levels in other fields.

First implemented by Crix Madine as the Alliance Special Forces Unit, the elite unit known as SpecForces is one of the most dangerous military units in the galaxy. SpecForce units are trained to be brutally efficient and highly mobile. A Specforce soldier is a multipurpose combatant whose sharpshooting abilities are rivaled only by his stealth. SpecForce soldiers are quiet and deadly.

- Taken from Threats to the Galaxy(Under Soldier, Elite)

Rebel SpecForce is noted as one of the most dangerous military units in the galaxy. Multipurpose troopers, brutally efficient and deadly.

As also noted in my Stormtrooper respect thread, a Rebel SpecForce trooper and Imperial Scout Trooper go at eachother H2H for a straight 45 minutes stalemate, before they call a truce.

This is actually an impressive showing for both sides, given both of their harsh training.

==========

Well there you have it folks! The Rebel Trooper/SpecForce!

I'll probably add more as time goes on, but there's quite a lot of info there to digest and thoroughly detail what the Alliance has. It saddens me, when people think of the Alliance(and the Empire by extension) Troopers as nothing more than rag tag people with blasters, they are so much more than that. (They are rag tag only to a point, not completely.)

Star Wars: Sorcerers of Rhand respect thread!

So once more a RT blog, this time we're not looking at Jedi or Sith, but another powerful Force User group! What...you guys thought only Jedi and Sith can be powerful? Naah...so let's get to it!

Respect the Sorcerers of Rhand!

No Caption Provided

Sourcebook Quotes

The Sorcerers of Rhand live deep in the Unknown Regions, their reclusiveness a blessing, for it the Sorcerers were to unleash the full entropic power of what they call the Dark, the entire galaxy might come to ruin.

- Taken from Unknown Regions

Living deep in the Unknown Regions, if they unleashed the full power of the Dark it could ruin the galaxy.

The Dark also brings with it a kind of future sight. If all things come to an end, if the Sorcerers posses an understanding of the Dark, then they can see its effects forward and backward throughout time. By selecting or rejection paths of destruction, Sorcerers can bring about any path they desire.

- Taken from Unknown Regions

Sorcerers can see forward and backward in time and can bring about any path they desire.

Chief among their tools is the gift of Darksight, which allows a Sorcerer to see the future as a branching path, each path defined by forces of destruction that trigger change. A Sorcerer can choose a path and encourage the inevitability of that future(and its associated outcomes of death and ruin).

- Taken from Unknown Regions

They can use the power of Darksight and encourage a path of the future to come true.

The Sorcerers also wield a type of Battle Meditation that is essentially a more immediate expression of Darksight. While viewing armies engaged in warfare, a Sorcerer can sense how close each soldier is to death and nudge individuals into decisions that bring about their immediate annihilation.

- Taken from Unknown Regions

A Sorcerer can sense each soldier in warring armies, sensing how close they are to death and nudge them towards it. This is also a pretty ridiculous sense feat for the regular Sorcerer as armies can be pretty freaking huge, while also sensing how each soldier is close to death.

Finally in the rare event that the Sorcerers are threatened in a face to face confrontation, they have mastered an arcane technique for channeling the dark in a sustained, directed burst. A Darkshear strike causes the victim to suffer the cumulative damage of years of atrophy. Armor becomes rusted and brittle, power cells drain, and machinery jams. Individuals can age 30 years in an instant and individual body parts, a heart, a lung, a knee join, might fail in the midst of battle.

- Taken from Unknown Regions

They have mastered the Darkshear strike, armor becomes rusted and brittle, individuals age 30 years in an instant and body parts can fail.

With the right cover story, any of the Retreat's worlds might accept these heroes as new disciples or pilgrims. Otherwise, the adventurers might find their ship under attack from Darkshear as a Sorcerer in a nearby platform directs waves of entropy to loosen bulkhead weldings and pop open airtight compartments.

- Taken from Unknown Regions

Sorcerers can use Darkshear in waves to destroy starships.

A true Sorcerer is said to be able to use a physic blast to eradicate an object or living being.

- Taken from Book of Sith

Straightforward, they can obliterate objects and living things.

Lord Shadowspawn studied under the Sorcerers of Rhand. He could have collapsed the fragile New Republic if I hadn't been forced to confront him on Mindor.

- Luke Skywalker, Book of Sith

Luke notes that Lord Shadowspawn could have collapsed the New Republic if he hadn't stopped him, using the Sorcerers of Rhands teachings.

Blessed Toxmalb is one of the oldest members of the Sorcerers of Rhand, skilled in the ways of the Dark he has attained his position through a century of Darksight path-walking.

- Taken from Unknown Regions

One of the oldest members is a century old, suggesting that the Sorcerers of Rhand can live an extremely long lifespan.

Book Quotes

Deep in the area ignorantly described by the Old Republic, and later the Empire, as the "Unknown Regions," there was a vast cloud of dust and rock and interstellar gas that pulsed with a bloody and forbidding scarlet glow as it radiated away the energy of twelve stellar clusters within. This was the Perann Nebula; the twelve clusters that it surrounded were known collectively as the Nihil Retreat. The absolute rulers of the Nihil Retreat, dreaded masters of dark magicks beyond the grasp of even the Sith, were the Sorcerers of Rhand.

- Taken from Luke Skywalker and the Shadows of Mindor

Noted as dreaded masters of dark magic, beyond even the grasp of the Sith.

It was dark where they were. Not just dark, but Dark.

And he was afraid.

Afraid that the Dark really was the truth. The only real truth. That everything else everyone pretended was important was only a deception, a distraction, a game to keep your mind off the eternal oblivion to come. He had spent aeons in the Dark and he knew its awful power.

Everything dies, it would whisper forever in his heart. Even stars burn out.

- Taken from Luke Skywalker and the Shadows of Mindor

Even Luke Skywalker, the fully trained Jedi and having an understanding of The Force(by this point he has shown quite the variety of Force Powers and skills) spends aeons within the Dark and knows of its awful power.

Kyle took advantage of the opportunity by summoning the Force, forging a spear of midnight black, and hurling it toward his opponent's chest.

Boc staggered, dropped the lightsabers, and grabbed the invisible shaft. Kyle watched, fascinated as the other Jedi struggled to remove the weapon and failed to do so. He tripped, fell, and collapsed.

- Taken from Dark Forces: Jedi Knight

Kyle Katarn uses the Darkshear ability to kill Boc, the spear being invisible. This is merely just showing that the attack is invisible and Kyle who isn't even a master, one shotted Boc, a powerful Dark Jedi serving under Inquisitor Jerec. Boc was distracted yes, but not really the point in this case.

Now just imagine what a true Rhand Sorcerer would be able to do with it. Reminding that Sorcerers can take down ships with this ability.

To see The Dark more in action: Cronal's respect thread by BanthaBot

Well done and done folks! Enjoy!

Sourcebook/Guide Quotes

As Jedi Initiates you were learn and hone many abilities that draw upon The Force. These abilities fall under 3 themes: Control, Sense and Alter. Control is centered on one's own body and is the focus of training for Initiates. Used properly your Control abilities will allow you to survive injury and decay, extending your service to the Order by decades.

- Taken from Jedi Path

The Jedi learn abilities under 3 themes of Control, Sense and Alter, with Control being the focus of their training for Initiates. Proper use of Control allows them to survive injuries and extend their lives decades to serve the Jedi Order.

Tutaminus, or energy absorption is the ability to channel or diffuse potentially harmful radiation by using the benevolent energy of The Force. It can be as simple as shielding the skin from excessive sunlight or as advanced as deflecting a blaster bolt with an outstretched palm.

- Taken from Jedi Path

Jedi learn how to channel or diffuse energy/radiation. Now not to say that all Jedi can deflect blaster bolts with their palm, but they can to a degree manipulation energy sources.

Curato Salva is a family of abilities that emphasizes the healing of self. As a Jedi Knight you will be expected to master this facet of Control to heal your own injuries, to flush out mind-altering drugs from your bloodstream, to locate and burn out clusters of disease, to nullify the effects of poison and to reduce your perception of pain when true healing is not possible in the moment. The Jedi hibernation trance is the most extreme position and can be used as a last resort to sustain vital signs.

"Especially useful in a battle!"

- Taken from Jedi Path

Jedi Knights are expected to master Curato Salva which enables them to heal injuries, flush out mind control drugs in their blood stream, kill diseases, nullify poisons and reduce pain when they can't fully heal and as noted to be useful in a battle.

Altus sopor is the traditional term for the ability to increase one's focus in The Force. You can practice this self-directed ability during your 5 daily meditations. In time you will learn to merge into The Force so that you become nearly invisible to others.

- Taken from Jedi Path

Jedi Knights can increase their Force focus, enabling them to become nearly invisible to others. Wouldn't say of course this would work on ya know, more powerful Force Users, but like the regular human being and so forth.

As Initiates you should be meditating 5 times a day. That's not enough, whenever you have a moment to yourself, even if you're standing outside a training chamber waiting for a session to begin, center yourself as you been taught. The Force will rejuvenate your body and sharpen your mind, even in brief moments.

- Taken from Jedi Path

Jedi Knights meditate 5 times a day and even then, not enough whenever they have a spare moment. This rejuvenates their body and sharpens their minds even if the meditation is brief.

Moving Meditation is an awake-state that reduces distraction and increases focus on a task, you may find it improves your ability to repair a device, your skill in shifting through data or your combat drills.

- Taken from Jedi Path

Jedi Knights can increase focus on their tasks with Moving Meditation, this may be anything from repairing something to their combat drills.

As Jedi Initiates you will concentrate on one only one form, Form 1 or shii-cho, is the oldest of all forms and the first to evolve from the ancient discipline of swordfighting. Form 1 teaches the basic moves of attack and parry, focusing on the humanoid body's target zones: left side, right side, head and legs.

- Taken from Jedi Path

As Initiates, Jedi Knights focus on Form 1 of fighting which is the oldest of all the lightsaber forms, evolved from swordfighting which teaches them the basics of attacking and parrying, focusing on the body of their enemy.

Form 1 is the foundation of which the other forms build. It is not the best style for blaster deflection or lightsaber combat, but it's a superior all around form you can fall back on in combat. Thus you must demonstrate mastery of this form before you can continue.

- Taken from Jedi Path

It's a good all around form that a Jedi can fall back on if needed, Initiates need to master this form before they can continue.

There are 7 forms of lightsaber combat. Form 1 was the focus of your training as a youngling. Padawans must extend their combat skills by mastering 1 or more of the following forms.

- Taken from Jedi Path

As Padawans, Jedi Knights have to master 1 or more of the 7 lightsaber forms of combat.

As Jedi Initiates you worked to master your body's reactions and to enhance your limitations through your instruction in Control. As Padawans, you will spend far more time developing the discipline of Sense and the Force abilities the emulate from it.

- Taken from Jedi Path

As Initiates they have mastered their bodies reactions and enhanced their limitations through Control and as Padawans they develop their Sensory abilities.

Life detection is the most basic of Sense abilities. Through this ability, you can feel the presence of living things and track their positions over long range.

- Taken from Jedi Path

Jedi Knights can track living things over long ranges.

No Caption Provided

Magnifying the senses is an obvious application of The Force but one that many Padawans struggle to apply. Padawans who need help in this area are advised to practice Force-boosted hearing while meditating with all other senses such down. Program a training remote to travel away from you at one meter per minute. After listening to the quite hum of the repulsorlift, you may be shocked to discover that it has already left your chamber and is halfway through the Temple. Through this same technique you can gain improved eyesight that exceeds the range of Macrobinoculars.

- Taken from Jedi Path

Jedi Knights can magnify their senses such as hearing and eyesight.

Do not bother to anticipate what type of lightsaber challenge you will encounter during the Trial of Skill or what opponent you will face. The popular rumor among Padawans is that you must outlast the Jedi Battlemaster in a session that may span hours. Yet you may face multiple opponents at once; a succession of fresh opponents while you become increasingly exhausted. A duel with a Jedi while another manipulates your perceptions or shifts the floor tiles beneath your feet.

Or perhaps even a duel with a member of the Council, including our venerable Grand Master- a rare privilege indeed.

- Taken from Jedi Path

The Trial of Skill is random, ranging from anything from outlasting the Jedi Battlemaster which can span hours, fighting multiple opponents while becoming exhausted, a duel with a Jedi while another throws off their perceptions or shifting the floor tiles, or fighting one of the members of the Council or even Grand Master.

No Caption Provided

Such challenges are not meant to be unfair. All are designed to mimic challenges you may one day face if you are to serve the Order. The latest feature in the Jedi trials Chamber is a holographic projector, introduced after the victory of Ruusan capable of creating enemies from the air itself. With this tool, you might face Darth Ruin, Lord Kaan or any of the worst monsters to ever rise from the dark side.

- Taken from Jedi Path

Jedi Padawans might also face a holographic projections of famous Sith Lords.

Side Note: One Sith they might face up against is Darth Desolous

The Trial of Insight tests the ability of a Padawan to see through illusion and judge the person beneath, to filter out distractions in search of the truth. Over the centuries many challenges have been employed to assess this ability, including finding a grain of sand within a field of stones, determining the content and frequency of a fragmentary test from scattered pieces and solving any of the High Riddles of Dwartii.

- Taken from Jedi Path

Must be able to see through illusion, what is and isn't real.

As a Jedi Knight you are the arms and legs of the Order and the Council requires you to stay fit and prepared for the moment when you will be asked to end threats to the citizens of the galaxy.

- Taken from Jedi Path

Jedi Knights are required to stay fit and prepared the moment a they are called upon for a threat.

Telekinesis is the most fundamental of Alter ability, forming the basis for the familiar Force push and Force pull. Your training should focus on precision and control, but also lifting on great weights. The oxygen bottle is a fine exercise for precision, since it requires a Jedi to fill an empty bottle with oxygen molecules plucked one by one from the air.

- Taken from Jedi Path

TK is focused on precision and control and also lifting great weight, an exercise is a Jedi taking air molecules and filling an empty bottle.

For control visit the Temple's Kuddaka chambers where the Muntuur Stones are kept. Each of these stones weigh several tons, so merely jostling one can be marked as a success.

- Taken from Jedi Path

Control training is with practicing on the Muntuur Stones which weigh several tons, the picture above shows smaller stones and yet even they are pretty big.

Alter Environment describes a family of abilities that stand as evidence of the Force's ability to control the natural world. With this a Jedi can summon a whirlwind or lighting strike, or can direct hailstorms and crashing waves against the walls of an enemy fortification.

- Taken from Jedi Path

Jedi Knights can alter the environment to bring whirlwinds, lighting strikes, direct hail or crashing waves.

As a Jedi who has reached the rank of Knight, you have recieved instruction in Forms I-VI combat. By now you have undoubtedly settled on one that suits your physical strengths and battle philosophy.

Yet some Jedi might find advantage in a hybrid style that draws upon any or all forms.

- Taken from Jedi Path

They recieved instruction through Forms 1-IV, mastering Form 1 and one other Form as a Jedi Knight, they can also go to make themselves a hybrid form.

Jedi Masters have reached the top of their craft within the Jedi Order. A deep understanding of The Force is a must, for a Jedi Master is able to unlock powerful secrets that few Jedi even dream of comprehending. It is not a journey made quickly, and few Jedi survive long enough to complete it.

- Taken from Threats of the Galaxy.

Jedi Masters are the top of the heap in the Jedi Order, they know powerful secrets that few Jedi even can comprehend and only few survive to even make it to Jedi Master.

Jedi Masters are sent on important and dangerous missions by the Jedi Council. Whether or not a Jedi Master is encountered in the company of his Padawan Learner, he is an opponent who cannot be underestimated. Few mundane opponents can stand against the skill and ability of a Jedi Master.

- Taken from Threats of the Galaxy

Jedi Masters do dangerous missions, with or without their Padawans they are opponents not to be underestimated and few can stand against their skill and ability.

Few enemies can match the raw power of a trained Jedi Knight. These brave champions spend their entire lives mastering the Force and testing themselves against all manner of challenges and opponents. By the time they are ready to pass their final trails to become Jedi Knights, young Jedi Padawans have already spent more time in battle than the average veteran soldier.

- The Old Republic Encyclopedia

Few can match the raw power of a Jedi Knight, mastering the force and testing themselves against challenges and opponents, as Padawans they've already spent more time in battle than the average Trooper.

For most of you, your clan was selected before you reached the age of 3.

- Jedi Path

So Jedi training starts pretty much at the age of 3, now this is important, so keep in mind.

When you reach the appropriate age(for most humanoids, between approximately 12 to 14 years) and have passed the Initiate Trials, you are eligible to be selected by a Jedi Knight or Jedi Master to become an Apprentice.

- Jedi Path

So by the time a Jedi Initiate goes to become a Padawan, they have at around or over a decade of training under their belts. Now yes I am fully aware that they don't train on lightsaber 24/7, but even so everything points to a Jedi Initiate as having a great length of time studying Form 1 and it's no question that they would all be masters of this form.

When you reach the end of your years as Jedi Initiates, you will no longer be Younglings. To reach this new level you must complete the Initiate Trials, you should be well prepared for them at this stage.

- You must demonstrate you knowledge and understanding of the Jedi Code

- You must demonstrate self discipline through meditation and lightsaber combat.

- You must prove the Force flows through you and that you are not a rock stubbornly blocking its current.

- Jedi Path

So even Younglings have their own Trials, which they must demonstrate self discipline through meditation and combat, as well as proving the Force flows through them.

"I sense a great disturbance in The Force. It comes from the Jedi Academy on Almas. I stretch out with my mind into the Cularin system, but I cannot find the source of my distress. It is a haze, a mist that shifts and then disperses when I come too close. Somewhere out there, a great evil is growing. Soon it will threaten my students, and possibly even this academy. If we are not prepared, it may threaten much more.

Unfortunately with 10 million beings living on this system's three main planets and seven moons, evil finds plenty of places to hide. The Force is strong here. The Ancient Sith knew this well. A half-buried fortress on the desert side of Almas stands as a mute testament to their interest in the system over a thousand years ago.

The dark side is strong there, very strong. But I feel the dark side elsewhere in this system, too. Weaker, but still present. It is as if an evil has been sleeping here for centuries, ever since the Sith left. Now something, or someone is stirring it to consciousness. The future of this system is hard to see. Even Yoda cannot predict what is to come."

- Living Force Campaign Guide, Jedi Master Lanius Qel-Bertuk

So at the Almas Academy, a Jedi Master senses a great disturbance in the Cularin System, but each time he gets close to it, it moves away. This is a pretty impressive sensory feat considering the planet Almas also holds a Sith Fortress which is very strong with the dark side, then factoring in the 3 planets, 7 moons and 10 billion beings, the fact he can even get close to whatever threat there is, is pretty good.

Ok I think you all are board of reading Sourcebook quotes, so I'm just gonna move on to the feats then!

Comic feats

These scans show Jedi showing blaster deflection, TKing rockets and Force Pushing. Jedi jumping so high to intercept a Mandalorian as he flies, cutting him in half and landing without so much an issue.

People site this battle as a feat for Jango and sure it is, but the Jedi themselves also show stuff as they fight the Mandalorians.

The 1st two scans shows a Jedi Knight about to unstuck an AT-TE from the mud, she ends up getting killed from behind so not an actual showing persay, but she seemed rather confident in her ability to get the AT-TE out of the mud with TK.

The 3rd scan shows Padawans being able to sense/read through Anakin's thoughts while he was outside on a speeder.

The last scan speaks of a Jedi Padawan's Uncle, noted as a true Jedi Master that outstripped all of the Padawans there in knowledge, wisdom and power. (Not including Anakin of course least in raw power, though perhaps maybe in knowledge/wisdom.)

1st scan shows a Padawan being able to sense mines buried underground, while the 2nd scan shows a Padawan detonating several of the mines.

So here we have these Padawans fighting for...a month and a half, killing A-series assassin droids, showing Jar'Kai and deflecting a blaster shot precisely into someone's head. The last scan showing a wounded Padawan, exhausted holding back several IG-227 Hailfire missiles before letting them go.

Side Note: A-series Assassin Droids

Poi constructed an increasingly lethal string of assassin droids. These killers eliminated Hutts three to fourteen in the Gejalli succession hierarchy. The Gejalli survivors exacted their own revenge, taking out a contract on Poi's life. Poi fled to the darkest underlevels of Kashyyk's worshry tree canopy to escape from the merciless Dashade shadow killers.

What followed was nearly two decades of what Pollux Poi calls 'the shadow game'. Inside his leafy hideout, Poi tinkered with new designs as his droids felled Dashade assassins, making Poi one of the most notorious unclaimed bounties in Hutt history.

The creations of Pollux Poi lived on, discovering a primeval machine in Kashyyyk's forest. Establishing contact, this small family led itself to be overhauled and replicated by the ancient intelligence they called the Builder Forge.

- Taken from New Essential Guide to Droids.

So these assassin droids were created by Pollux Poi(an insane scientist) which killed several Hutts which prompted them to take out a contract on the guy. He fled with Dashade assassins coming after him, for 2 decades his droids killed these assassins, they then were overhauled and replicated by the Builder Forge. (Rakata technology)

Dashade are known for being mercenaries, elite assassins and killers and only the best Dashades can be called Shadow Killers.

The Dashade are known throughout the galaxy as elite assassins, mercenaries, and killers. Particularly due to their partial immunity to Force abilities of the Jedi. The most feared and deadly Dashade are given the honorary title Shadow Killer.

- Taken from Galaxy at War

Here during the month and a half battle, a Jedi Padawan survives a near point blank explosion, doesn't even knock him out, he then takes out a Hellfire tank.

So here Jedi Master Tohno infiltrates a Sep base, gets confronted by a horde of Geonosians, showing great durability with surviving multiple sonic weapon attacks, using saber throw as she cuts through them before blowing up the base with the explosives she had.

Here we see Jedi Younglings using the Force to collapse a tunnel and hurl rocks at battle droids, as well as Force pushing them.

So a Jedi student who got kicked out of the Academy(along with some others) is able to use Beast Control on a large herd of animals to destroy some battle droids.

Another showing the ability to imbue a steel pipe to make it not only strong enough to destroy battle droids, but also withstand blaster fire. Note this ability isn't that impressive by Force User standards, mere Force Adepts on distant worlds can do this.

Next scan has her perform a AOE Force attack against some battle droids.

Again to note, these are at best young Padawans(from their apparent ages) that got kicked out of the Academy for struggling with The Force and got sent to a remote farm. So the fact they did some impressive things, sort of tells what a full fledged Jedi Knight or Master could do.

Very recently just promoted to Jedi Knight, Anise shows to take out a group of battle droids by TKing her lightsaber.

She then runs right into 3 Droidekas, gets smashed through a wall, being able to deflect blaster fire with her bare hands and then takes out the Droidekas, right afterwards she then takes out 6 more SBDs and says that the Seps will have a high repair bill.

So here we have Jedi Padawan Kybo fighting Grievous, now obviously not saying Grievous is going full out or anything. Again this is just showing capability, Kybo showing to use The Force mid-combat, pushing one of Grievous' arms away and then while he's blade locked, he summons Jedi Master B'dard's saber to cut the fuel pipe to empty it into the magma.

This isn't so much about the fight, as more it is showing of just how control and multi-tasking a Jedi can do even within the middle of combat, of course this is also shown elsewhere throughout this thread, but this is another good example.

So here is one of Luke's students(Finn) lift a small rock, Luke then sets a gigantic boulder onto the rock and tells him to move his rock again. It's noted that Luke seems to do this with every student(or I figure a large portion) and in the end he gets the rock out. He then later holds up a large portion of a collapsing roof.

So here Ulic Qel-Droma(still a Jedi Apprentice in training) easily avoids the fire from a Combat-Trainer Droid, saying that they are slow and their moves can be anticipated. Mind you folks, at this point in history of SW while Blaster technology hasn't really been invented they are still using laser and pulse-wave technologies.

Yet here is Jedi Apprentice Ulic being able to avoid/react the fire from this droid, granted he does end up getting hit but that's more due to being overconfident than lack of skill.

So here it's shown a group of Jedi in training to become Knights that their final assignment is avoiding multiple meteor impacts, these could be microscopic in size to colossal. The Jedi in training had to use The Force and no visibility whatsoever with blast shields covering their faces.

I won't comment on how fast meteors travel, since I know it varies, but even still this is pretty impressive all the same.

To note first in the scans, these Jedi are still in training. The next couple of scans after show Kyp, calling down Lightning from a storm to defeat a Leviathan.

These scans show the Jedi fighting an even much larger Leviathan, with Streen using the winds to actually push the huge monster, he later also deflects some lava thrown at the group before they then fight the creature. It ends up being defeated, but moreso due to a power generator being overloaded.

Still it's pretty impressive these students still in training were able to fight such a creature.

Side Note: Sith Leviathan

One of these Great Schisms occurred approximately seven thousand years ago, when a group of Dark Jedi discovered that they could use the Force to transform creatures into mutant warriors, mounts, and spirit-devouring Leviathans.

In the year 12 A.B.Y., the Jedi academy battled enormous creatures that had destroyed a mining colony on Corbos. It was discovered that these creatures were ancient Force-mutated Leviathans that had been abandoned by the Dark Jedi during the Battle of Corbos.

- Jedi V Sith: Essential Guide to The Force

They were created by a group of Dark Jedi using the Force and thus the creatures themselves were Force Sensitive, able to devour the spirits of those that they ate.

Some beasts are built to tear down enemy fortifications as my Leviathans and the Chrysalides are. These Sith beasts are nature advanced to perfection.

- Book of Sith

The Leviathans can tear down enemy fortifications, with Sith Alchemy they were advanced from nature to perfection.

So here are some Leviathan(more similar in size to the one Kyp fought) in action, eating some Lost Tribe Sith members(Force Sensitives), absorbing their life force and gaining their knowledge as they feed on them.

Novel Feats

He turned to see a male Zabrak, a Jedi, emerge from one of the burned-out buildings that lined the street. The blue line of a lightsaber glowed in each of his hands. He studied Malgus sidelong.

"Malgus, " the Jedi said.

Malgus did not know the Jedi's name and he did not care. The Zabrak was merely the focus of his anger, a convenient target for his rage.

Malgus fell into the Force, roared, and bounded down the street, his anger lending him speed.

The Jedi held his ground. At twenty meters, the Jedi raised his lightsabers aloft to either side and drew them both down with a flourish.

Too late the rumble of the falling buildings penetrated the haze of Malgus's anger. An avalanche of duracrete and transparisteel crashed down on him from either side of the street...

- Taken from The Third Lesson

Here a Zabrak Jedi collapses two burned out buildings with The Force ontop of Malgus.

So what was left? Her own fighting skills. These were not inconsiderable-Jedi were trained in all manner of disciplines, both mental and physical, and the Masters knew there were times when use of the Force was not appropriate. Even without activating her lightsaber, she was someone to be reckoned with.

- Taken from Medstar 1: Battle Surgeons

Jedi are trained in all manner of disciplines both physical and mental, without turning on their lightsabers they are still to be reckoned with.

There were thirty-two apprentices entered in the tournament. An apprentice had to be at least ten years old to enter, with the majority of entrants in the eleven-to twelve-year-old range. The younger kids weren’t quite ready to encounter the big kids in full-contact sparring.

- Yoda: Dark Rendezvous

So the Apprentice Tournament consists of majority of entries to the 11-12 year old range, this being full-contact sparring. Recall folks at this point, these are all basically basic Padawan level Jedi with at bare minimum nearly a decade of training.

Then she attacked. She ran in fast on a slant, testing his footwork. She got in with a bind that locked their blades together and let her use her size and weight to shove him hard. He stumbled backward, and she tried to drive home her advantage. He let his body go loose and tumbled backward, his blade slipping out of her bind and slashing up at her neck. She barely managed an awkward parry. It wrecked her balance and she pitched forward over his tumbling body. She somersaulted over him, hit the floor with a shoulder roll, and bounced to her feet, whipping her lightsaber around in a high parry that caught his blade in a shower of sparks.

Oh, boy. That was too close.

-Yoda: Dark Rendezvous

So here is a fight in the Tournament between Scout and Pax, both showing fast movements, locking and disengaging from them, leaping over and parrying.

He attacked. Usually they were evenly matched, but Pax was clearly feeling the Force

today. His attack was long and fluid, a series of feints and cuts that came blindingly fast, each disguised as the other, so the real attacks melted in and out of the fake ones. Scout parried the first three with increasing difficulty, gave ground, felt herself becoming lost in the swirls of humming light, and finally broke back in full flight, using her speed to plain run away until she could escape the maze of humming green light he had almost trapped her in.

Another pause.

They stood five paces apart. Scout was breathing hard. Glancing down, she saw a char mark on her tunic where his blade had come too close. The smell of burned cloth tickled the back of her throat. Pax looked down at his own saber, wide-eyed. “Did you recognize it, Scout?”

“What?”

“The Mrlssi half-hitch. The knot you taught me. I was feeling for you with the Force, you know, the way they teach us, and suddenly it was like I was making the Half-Hitch around you, but all in light.”

-Yoda: Dark Rendezvous

So here they continue, showing fluid attacks, feints and cuts with Pax being blindingly fast, with the real attacks melting into the fake ones, noting that he felt Scout through The Force as they were taught and implemented a Half-Hitch knot.

Scout tried to smile reassuringly, and held out her hand to shake. “Don’t worry about me,” she said soothingly, as his hand entered hers. “I’ll be—”

In the middle of her sentence, as soon as his grasp was in hers, she flipped it over into a wrist lock. Pax blinked in surprise, then went quickly to his knees as Scout upped the pressure.

“Oh, man,” he breathed. “You got me.” And with his other hand he tapped three times on the floor.

Scout instantly let him out of the wrist lock. “Sorry!” she said.

- Yoda: Dark Rendezvous

Pax then gets a wrist lock from Scout, getting him to his knees. Again folks, Jedi are trained in ALL manner of physical combat. So this would be one of them.

Physically, Scout gave herself a very slight advantage in speed and strength, thanks to her extra training. Technically they were comparable—Hanna possibly stronger with the lightsaber, while Scout was definitely ahead in the unarmed techniques that Master Iron Hand taught. But when the Force was added into the equation, the contest wasn’t even close. Hanna was fourteen, and her use of the Force was on an entirely different level from Pax Chizzik’s:

polished, strong, and supple.

- Yoda: Dark Rendezvous

So here it's noted that while Scout was physically ahead in speed and strength, it's noted that with The Force added into the equation, the contest wasn't even close. So this is something interesting, in that just being physically fit isn't enough.

It was time for their bout. They bowed to Master Xan, presented weapons, got them back, bowed to one another. Master Xan said, “Some of the apprentices were very vocal in lobbying for a tournament that was ‘more like real life.’” Was Scout imagining it, or did Master Xan look directly at her?

“In real life, we rarely get optimal combat conditions. One might find oneself attacked in null gravity, for instance. Or by surprise, or by a droid or other creature whose physiology made certain techniques difficult or impossible. Of course, introducing a Gorax into the Temple is not practical. But there are some things we can do.

For instance, in real life—” Scout would swear the Master’s eyes were lingering on her again. “—it is often dark.”

And the lights went out.

Oh, great, Scout thought. No problem. I don’t need to trust my eyes, after all.

I can trust the Force.

- Yoda: Dark Rendezvous

So at this point the Tournament changes, with the lights of the room going out. Master Xan noting that Jedi don't get optimal combat conditions, that they could get into null gravity situations, or getting caught by surprise, or a droid or other creature which makes employing techniques difficult or impossible.

It was pitch black. In the darkness, Scout could just hear the audience breathing, and the sound of her own blood beating in her ears. A soft rustle of cloth from the direction Master Xan had been standing in. She would be lifting up the red handkerchief—and Scout had no way of telling when she was going to let it go.

Oh, boy.

She tried to use the Force, tried to let her awareness seep out into the dark room. She could feel the presence of the watching acolytes, Master Yoda back in the corner, Master Xan. But she couldn’t find the little scrap of red cloth. For that matter, she had only a vague idea of where Hanna was. It was as if the Arkanian were muddying the Force, the way a Quarren might squirt ink into the sea.

-Yoda: Dark Rendezvous

So the room is pitch black, despite that one could feel the presence of those watching and it's noted that Hanna was using the Force to muddy Scout's own connection.

Well, there was nothing for it. She couldn’t draw before the handkerchief

touched the ground, and she couldn’t tell when that was going to happen. She would just have to stay alert, ready to spring backward at the first instant Hanna made any move.

Scout stared into the darkness. Her eyes felt wide as saucers, and she was straining to hear every creak and whisper. The little hairs on her arms stood up, as if she could listen with her skin. And then, a gift from the Force: the sudden electric knowledge that Hanna was going to lash out—

Now!

She knew Hanna would start with a high, Force-aided leap, to get out of Scout’s plane of vision, hoping to drop down like a bird of prey from above. The Arkanian’s blade blazed to life, a stroke of green lightning crackling down from directly overhead: but Scout’s blade, a wand of cool blue flame, was there to meet it. The weapons clashed in a jarring burst of sparks, but Scout had the floor, to brace against, and the force of her parry sent Hanna tumbling backward through the air.

The Arkanian twisted into a perfect backflip and landed in a balanced fighting stance.

-Yoda: Dark Rendezvous

So despite the darkness, Scout could still sense just when Hanna was going to attack, meeting her blade just as she came down with her own, parrying the other back to send her tumbling through the air. Despite this, she was able to twist into a perfect backflip and land in a balanced fighting stance.

Blue and green reflections hissed and spat in the milk-white surface of the

Arkanian girl’s eyes. “Come now, Esterhazy. Aren’t you going to try one of your dirty tricks on me? You didn’t use them all up on poor little Pax, did you?” Scout grinned. “Not even close.”

If Hanna had a weakness, it was that she was too in love with her lightsaber.

There was something in her fastidious nature that made the sweaty grappling of hand-to-hand combat distasteful to her; she was really much happier standing two paces from her opponent and letting her blade do the fighting for her. “You know, Hanna, there’s one thing I’ve always wondered. How exactly do you manage—”

Scout exploded into a flying flèche in the middle of her sentence, hoping to catch the Arkanian off guard. Hanna snapped to parry, Scout disengaged, Hanna caught her blade triumphantly and slid it down to the side. Scout’s blue lightsaber passed harmlessly by as Hanna spun like a matador to let her go by, but that was all right, since Scout had only meant the swordplay to be a distraction, something for Hanna to feel superior about, right up to the moment Scout’s body was nearly past, when her whip kick knocked Hanna off her feet.

They both hit the mat hard.

-Yoda: Dark Rendezvous

So despite the fact that Scout tried to surprise Hanna, she snapped to parry causing her to disengage, sliding her blade off to the side, though Scout then using a whip kick and knocking the other off her feet, both hitting the mat hard.

Scout tried to push her advantage, but by the time she was back on her feet the Arkanian was flashing forward in a lunge of her own. Hanna had a humming, buzzing, circular style of swordplay, fast slashes that changed angle continuously. Only Scout’s little Force talent saved her, subtly prompting her to ignore the feints and parry the real blows.

Remember, you are the weapon, Scout told herself. Don’t get caught thinking about the lightsaber alone. Be the weapon.

Slash, parry, slash, parry, slash—and this time instead of making the expected parry high, Scout dived in low under the blade, trying to tackle Hanna around the knees. The Arkanian flipped up, sending Scout between her legs as she somersaulted in the air, twisted, and landed in a fighting stance. Scout tucked, turning her dive into a roll, and bounced up. They were both breathing hard now.

Lightsabers buzzed, blue and green.

-Yoda: Dark Rendezvous

By the time Scout gets to her feet though, Hanna flashed forward, with fast slashes that changed angle constantly, slashing and parrying. Hannah then flips up, somersaulting into the air, twisting and landing to avoid a tackle, as both come up.

Once more she attacked, methodically this time, step after step, driving Scout toward the edge of the ring. Can’t let it go like this, Scout thought. She couldn’t let herself get trapped purely on the defensive. She fell back, parried a slash and whipped her wrist around to bind their blades, then leaned as if she was going to charge forward as she had with Pax.

This time she reached up with her left hand and made a jabbing two-finger pop to the pressure point under Hanna’s left elbow. It was perfect. As the Arkanian’s forearm went temporarily numb, her nerveless fingers opened just as Scout kicked up at her hand as hard as she could, sending Hanna’s lightsaber spinning through the air.

With a snarl of triumph Scout charged forward with a roundhouse slash......and impossibly Hanna jumped over her blade. Scout pitched forward through the space where Hanna ought to have been, stumbled, got her balance, and turned just in time to see Hanna, her mouth set in a grim line, use the Force to grab her lightsaber out of midair. It smacked back into the Arkanian’s hand with a sharp thud.

Hanna came forward again, relentless. “That was your last chance.” She fell on Scout like a storm, her limbs flashing like whirlwinds, her long, humming blade falling like green forked lightning.

-Yoda: Dark Rendezvous

So their fight continues on and this is a neat little showing of pressure point attacks as Scout uses one under Hanna's left elbow to make her forearm go numb, enabling her to kick Hanna's lightsaber into the air. However as she comes in with an attack, Hanna jumps over the blade, grabbing her lightsaber with The Force to hit Scout in the back of her head, she then comes in like a whirlwind with her lightsaber, her blade being like forked lightning.

Slowly, irresistibly, Scout was being overwhelmed. She could see the attacks coming, she knew which ones were real and which were feints, but now Hanna was bending all her will to Scout’s sword hand, using the Force to slow it down until it felt as if Scout had to drag it through water, or mud. Feint, slash, feint, cut, cut, and then a hard blow, a dipping slash to the leg that cut through the cloth of Scout’s robes and left a red welt across her thigh.

-Yoda: Dark Rendezvous

The fight goes on, Hanna using The Force to slow down Scout's sword arm, making her feel as if she had to drag it through water or mud.

The pain dropped her to the floor. She rolled sideways and came up parrying, stopping Hanna’s blade a finger width from her face. The lightsaber hissed like a furious serpent, spitting green light in her eyes. With a grunt Scout spun sideways again and tried to make a cut, but Hanna was inside her blade, slamming it flat to the floor, so hard Scout’s fingers loosened for just an instant.

Hanna used the Force to grab her lightsaber, that line of blue heart’s fire. Then she ripped it from Scout’s grasp, and flung it to the far side of the room.

Grab me, Scout prayed. If Hanna would just grapple, there was still a chance.

If she would just try a joint lock, an arm bar, anything...

The Arkanian stood up.

As soon as the weight left her hand Scout rolled over on her back, lashing out with her legs, but Hanna was already out of range, cool and composed, holding her lightsaber so the green tip hummed and buzzed a hand width above Scout’s

heart. The Arkanian looked down on Scout from what seemed like a vast height, an impossible height. The distance from a farmer’s field to the stars. “Yield,” she said.

- Yoda: Dark Rendezvous

Despite getting dropped, she is still able to parry Hanna's blade from her face before hers gets slammed to the floor, Hanna then grabbing Scout's lightsaber, tearing it from her grasp and flinging it to the far side of the room. Scout then notes she could try a joint lock, an arm bar or any other martial arts technique if Hanna would grapple.

Scout rolled off him and crouched beside the table, peering around the refectory. There seemed to be six combatants left. Pirt Neer and Enver Hoxhawere taking up most of the attention with a scintillating lightsaber duel.

Whie and Hera Tuix were fighting hand-to-hand, but still at range, trading kicks, punches, and blocks. That wouldn’t last; no matter how elegant one was at range, unarmed fights always went to ground in the end, where it was all grappling skills and joint locks.

-Yoda: Dark Rendezvous

So as the Tournmanet goes on, there were eventually only 6 left. Pirt and Enver having a lightsaber duel, whereas Whie and Hera were fighting hand to hand, trading punches, kicks and blocks, noting that unarmed fights always went to the ground, with grappling and joint locks.

Lena hissed, recovered herself, and darted in to attack. Scout knew she would thrust low, and slashed high, hoping Whie couldn’t parry both attacks. Instead of jumping back like any normal person, though, and falling off the table, Whie leapt forward, over their heads. A Force shove in her back sent her sprawling into the table he had been standing on, sending up showers of baked dru’un slices, a sleet of fish sauce, and a rain of juice and water.

There was a whirring buzz, lightsabers clashed and sparked, and Lena disappeared in a dance of fancy footwork across the refectory tables. Scout groaned. She should, she really should go help. She edged out into the open. Lena and Whie were the only two combatants left. They were going at it in the wide clear space in front of the swinging kitchen doors.

Whie was pressing Lena hard, his lightsaber spinning a cage of green light around her. Scout sprinted toward the pair.

Too little, too late. As she watched, Lena went through a parry-feint-beat attack-flèche combination, trying for a straight thrust into Whie’s chest. He sidestepped, limber as a whipcord. He used his blade to guide hers harmlessly by while at the same time letting his free hand clamp on to her sword hand. He continued to pivot, sinking his weight exactly as Master Iron Hand always taught them, and now Lena’s sword hand was caught in a thumb lock that her own momentum was making worse.

-Yoda: Dark Rendezvous

So here with only 2 combatants left, Whie showing to catch Lena's sword hand in a thumb lock by pivoting against her and side stepping just as Jedi Master Iron Hand always taught them. Whie also showing much like others, moving fast enough with a lightsaber that basically traps Lena in a cage of green light. Also showing some fancy footwork and using the Force mid-combat.

An instant later they finished like a pair of dance partners: Whie behind the Chagrian girl, pinning her arm behind her back with her thumb folded up at an unnatural angle. He gave the slightest upward pressure on her thumb, and the lightsaber dropped from her hand. One more little nudge had her on her tiptoes. She yielded.

- Yoda: Dark Rendezvous

This within an instance, Whie having pinned her arm and her thumb folded up at an unnatural angle, making her drop the lightsaber.

With the lightsaber in her left hand she made a hard, straight lunge with a single disengage around his first parry, easily blocked by his second. He was sliding her along exactly as he had done Lena...his free hand dropping onto her sword hand and twisting it around, using the lightsaber handle as a lever to create the initial thumb lock. The whole thing was incredibly smooth: the fighter in Scout couldn’t help but admire his balance, his precision and body awareness.

She would have had a hard time countering the technique, even if she had wanted to.

Three seconds into their fight, and it already looked to be over. He was standing behind her, just as he had been with Lena. A single nudge, exactly placed, sent pain shooting up her thumb and into her wrist. She dropped her lightsaber with a clatter. “Let’s stop,” he said. Pleading.

It was the strangest thing—he hadn’t been nearly this flustered dealing with Lena, and Lena was a more dangerous opponent than Scout by anyone’s reckoning. Scout had seen boys with crushes seem this nervous around the girl of their dreams—it made sparring practice acutely embarrassing for everyone— but she had been working through arm locks with Whie only yesterday, and she would swear on every star in the Republic there hadn’t been anything unusual about his behavior then.

He gave her thumb another nudge, and she found herself standing on tiptoe, as if somehow she could climb away from the little needle of pain shooting through her thumb. “Yield!” he whispered.

“Not this time,” she said. And then, gritting her teeth, she dropped down, into the pain, and back, driving straight into the teeth of his hold. All he had to do was keep it steady, and her thumb would snap like a dry stick.

-Yoda: Dark Rendezvous

So here Whie and Scout fight, Whie showing smooth balance, precision and awareness as within 3 seconds the fight was pretty much over, locking Scout just as he did Lena and he could snap her thumb like a dry stick.

The west block of the kitchen gardens left fallow. The rhythms of Temple life cut away for lack of time; no time for gardening now, or mending robes by hand, or games. Now it was hand-to-hand combat, small-unit tactical training, military infiltration exercises.

- Yoda: Dark Rendezvous

So here it's noted that the Temple does indeed hand-to-hand combat training, small-unit tactics training and military infiltration exercises.

As predicted, he found the boy in the workout room, going through the Broken Gate unarmed combat form—swing, stamp, strike, throw! He was good —better than good, he was quicksilver, letting the Force ball and surge in counterpoint to his movements, suspending it in a high flip, and then calling it down like a thunderbolt in the last stroke. Where the boy’s feet had landed, the floor mat burst open, spewing out rockets of foam.

- Yoda: Dark Rendezvous

So here's a showing of Whie practicing the Broken Gate unarmed combat, his feet bursting the floor mat open.

Obi-Wan tried to shake his head, but even a tiny movement rocked him with pain. He took a long breath. He called on his Jedi training to accept the pain as a signal his body was sending. He had to accept the pain, respect it, not fight it. Then he’d have to ask his body to begin to heal.

Once he’d centered his mind, the pain seemed to ease.

- Jedi Apprentice 1: The Rising Force

Here Obi-Wan uses his Jedi training to heal his body, centering his mind.

Adventure Journal Quotes

Many years ago when my grandfather's grandfather was a General in the Old Republic, there was a group of marauding band of raiders who destroyed entire towns, killed many innocent people and stole riches beyond belief. They destroyed the entire spaceport on Wroona, and robbed the Vaults of Narner. Nobody knew who these terrible warriors were, because their faces were hidden behind cold masks of their battle armor.

What terrible battle armor it was. Every arm bristled with blasters, every back had a jetpack strapped to it, and every helmet surveyed the battle with targeting sensors and tracking computers. Trophies hung from ammunition belts and shoulder armor, and multicolored breastplates were blaster-scored from numerous battles. Nobody was safe from these vile marauders.

Despite all their great armor and powerful weapons, these mercenaries were defeated by a lone Jedi Knight called Soonis. Which only goes to prove that outward appearances can often be deceiving.

- Adventure Journal 3: Outlaw Battle Armor

A story tells of a lone Jedi Knight who defeated a group of marauding band of mercenaries using Battle Armor.

Gamer #5 Quotes

He was close. Their quarry. Within this Star System, Crian could feel his sinister presence in The Force. It was not a feeling she appreciated.

"He's here" Crian said, adjusting the controls and engaging the ship's sublight thrusters. "Check the sensors, and be mindful for vibrations in The Force. It will tell you more than machines and computers ever will, if you listen to its song."

Crian could sense the Dark One in The Force, could hear the terrible rhythm that made him tangible to her Jedi senses. His presence was full of anger. It vibrated with barely controlled rage. He was coming. The Marauder. The Madman. Kaox Krul.

When she received no reply, Dree reached out with The Force. She probed the area, searching for any sign of her Master's presence in the Force. She concentrated, closed her eyes and tried to open herself to the vibrations. Nothing. No wait. There was something. Dree had a sense of impending doom. Death. The Dark Side.

- Darkness Shroud

A Jedi Knight(Crian) is able to sense an enemy Sith(Kaox Krul) within a Star System(Balowa). Later on her Padawan(Dree) is able to also sense him in The Force after they had landed.

But what if she's dead? Dree asked herself. She certainly won't respond if she's already dead.

"I'm not dead." Crian said in a hoarse whisper, blinking her eyes open to look at her student. Dree couldn't help herself. She jumped back, banging her elbow on the twisted bulkhead.

- Darkness Shroud

After their ship crashing, Dree found her Master unconscious and as she wonders if her Master is dead or not. Crian responds to her thoughts saying that she wasn't dead and awakens.

Dree felt her heart beat fiercely in her chest. She was scared, she couldn't help it. Her own ability to see into the Force, to feel its vibrations and read the patterns in the flow, was woefully inadequate compared to Crian Maru's. She knew before the first drop of rain hit the ground, the Marauder would be upon them. Her teacher sensed this, had warned her to be ready, and Dree tried to find her calm, peace.

Dree caught movement out of the corner of her eye. It was as though a shadow disengaged itself from the forest and was moving toward her at lightspeed. She turned towards the dark blur, reacting with Jedi reflexes but still feeling she was standing still. There was a loud hum as the shadow's lightsaber flared to life.

Dree brought her own lightsaber up in a defensive position while extending its energy blade to its full length. She didn't think. She didn't run. Dree stood her ground and held her lightsaber before her.

It was the Marauder, Kaox Krul. He didn't say a word. His hatred screamed at her with the words of dour silence. Her multifacted eyes however, were locked upon his lightsaber's blood-red blade. The blade cut a rainbow through the air as it arced towards her.

Dree was dead. For a moment, she was sure of that fact as she was of her own name. But then her training took over, she caught the Marauder's energy blade with her own, sending sparks flying in all directions. Then before he could counter her defense, Dree tumbled to the side, closer to the open cargo compartment and temporarily out of the Marauder's reach.

She regained her feet in one fluid motion, drawing on the Force to lend strength to her arms and legs.

- Darkness Shroud

So Dree is scared and she knows her own ability to sense things in The Force pales in comparison to Crian. Despite this though, she's still able to react towards Kaox charging at her, catching his blade upon her own as her Jedi training took over, tumbling out of reach and using the Force to get to her feet in one fluid motion.

Gunning the thrusters, Crian let the bike lunged forward. She sent a command through the Force, mentally ordering her student to leap onto the bike as it passed by. As soon as the Marauder turned his attention to Crian and the speeder bike, Dree began to move. She was midway through the tumble that would place her behind the dark-sider when she felt Crian's voice enter her mind.

"On!" the voice shouted. Dree would obey, but she had to buy time. She finished her roll, bunched her legs beneath her and leaped. Her jump carried her passed the Marauder's back. She slashed with her lightsaber, hoping to at least wound the dark-sider. Kaox Krul responded quickly and perceptively. Instead of slicing into the dark armor, Dree's blade bounced off the Marauder's ignited lightsaber.

The Marauder had to spin around to protect himself, so he wasn't able to avoid the speeder bike. It sideswiped him, knocking him prone. Dree finished her leap, landing perfectly behind Crian on the moving vehicle. Crian didn't slow. She turned the speeder away from the wreck of the Golden Song and pushed the thrusters to full.

- Darkness Shroud

So here Crian mentally communicates with Dree, to which she leaps into the air at the precise moment and landing perfectly on the vehicle behind her Master while it's still in motion, despite the fact as well she aimed to wound Kaox Krul, though to no effect.

What began as a simple matter turned daunting as their trail suddenly disappeared. Kaox plumbed the dark side, urging it to illuminate the path the Jedi had taken. His prey had their own lifelines to the Force, however, and they seemed to have masked their own course. Kaox hid himself from detection as the Jedi had done. No, not both of them, he realized.

The apprentice wasn't experienced enough to have such fine control over the Force. It was the Knight who was shielding them.

- Shroud of Darkness

While trying to search for them, Kaox realizes that they have masked themselves, though it's actually Crian masking both herself and her Padawan since Dree isn't experienced enough.

The Marauder and Jedi danced to a life-or-death song only they could hear. It was a dance of violence that reverberated in the Force. The two combatants took each other's measure with the first series of strikes and counterstrikes. One gave ground, then took it back as they sliced and parried. More thunder, and then the wind picked up, swirling fallen leaves around them as they fought.

For the Sith and the Jedi, time seemed to ebb and flow, each moment a complex clash of Force-enhanced attacks and blocks that played out in a kind of slow motion.

- Shroud of Darkness

So the Jedi Knight and the Marauder finally engage in a fight, with a complex clash of Force-enhanced attacks and blocks, where it seemed time was in slow motion for them.

The Sith warrior launched a barrage of deadly strikes at the Jedi. Crian pulled deeply from the Force and countered each one. She flipped and somersaulted, looking for a weakness in his defenses. He spun and tumbled, probing her own technique for an opening. For a time, neither found one.

- Shroud of Darkness

So Crian is pretty much equal to this Sith warrior, able to counter each of his strikes.

Kaox Krul switched to a one-handed grip, leaving his left hand free. He balled his free hand into a fist, squeezing tight and imagining all of his anger slipping down his arm into a pool there. He imagined it was a tightly wound spring. Then when the Jedi's weapon bounced away from his parry, turning her slightly to one side, he opened his hand and unleashed the power that was concentrated therein.

The Force spread out like a wave, striking the Jedi and knocking her backward, into the lake. Crian Maru gathered the Force around her and used it to lift her out of the water. She floated to the shore just as the Force turned dark and cold around her.

- Shroud of Darkness

So Crian gets knocked back into the lake by the fullness of Kaox's anger, though she seems to recover quickly and using the Force to lift and float herself out of the lake and to the shore.

Hours later, the Marauder and Jedi were still locked in battle. They were too evenly matched for either to gain more than a temporary advantage. They hurled rocks and sticks on tendrils of the Force. They sliced and slashed and hacked with lightsabers that hummed angrily at the continued exertion. They taunted each other when they could spare a breath.

Punches, kicks, knees,. and elbows, they pounded on each other with every weapon at their disposal. Battered and bruised, covered in cuts and scratches, they both looked ready to drop. Even Kaox's dark armor had fallen apart in places. Whenever Crian felt her muscles weaken, she remembered her beloved student and found the strength to carry on. Where Kaox found such stamina, she had no clue.

The bloated clouds had returned, gathering into a singularly fearsome presence. Jagged streaks of lightning exploded from within as thunder crashed down with terrible intensity. With every strike and parry, thunder peeled. With every punch and kick, lightning spread across the sky like fiery spider webs.

- Shroud of Darkness

So HOURS later, these two are still fighting, they are too evenly matched with one another and ontop of using their lightsabers, they use The Force and H2H fighting as well. Not gonna type out the whole fight, but basically Crian does end up calling on the dark side to renew her strength, the two end up killing one another in the end.

Legend of Zelda: Power of the Triforce

So as I've come to see many a times, people have put Link from the LoZ series into various battles against characters with everything he has ever had. Personally I feel that rather makes for a boring match, but whatever.

This has then brought up with Link using the Triforce to just completely destroy whatever enemy he is fighting...thus again making the fight rather boring and moot. However this has also caused back and forth arguments of just where the Triforce stands and so with this blog, I hope to explore that and put it all into perspective of where the Triforce stands.

So...that said, let us look into the Triforce.

========

No Caption Provided

So..what is the Triforce exactly?

It's the combination of the 3 goddesses which shaped the Legend of Zelda Universe.

Din= Triforce of Power, creating the world as it was known, creating the lands.

Nayru= Triforce of Wisdom, created gave wisdom to the world and created the law.

Farore= Triforce of Courage, created all the lifeforms of the world, including the various deities and those with magical prowess

The 3 Goddesses then left to the heavens leaving behind the sacred Triforce, which is a combination of their powers.

The when power, wisdom, and courage come together, the gods would have no choice but to come down. The power of the gods....the Triforce! He who touches it will have whatever he desires granted!

- Ganondorf

As noted by Ganondorf, the Triforce is the power of the 3 goddesses and whoever has it, shall be granted whatever they desire.

Now according to Hyrule Historia, the Triforce is stated as being an omnipotent source of power.

In this world the goddesses left behind the omnipotent Triforce.

- Taken from Hyrule Historia

The Omnipotent Triforce, The Triforce grants the wishes to those who touch it.

- Taken from Hyrule Historia

After returning to his own era, Link found the legendary Triforce. He became worthy of its omnipotent power.

- Taken from Hyrule Historia

Which given that the Triforce again is noted as being a combination of the 3 goddesses, this all makes perfect sense, given what each of them created.

Now to put this into perspective, the Master Sword was first crafted as the Goddess Sword, which was created by Hylia who was a deity.

Hylia was powerful enough to send a plot of land skyward with the surviving hylians along with the Triforce, then creating a barrier of clouds between the sky and land sealing the two away from one another.

After a battle against demonic forces, Hylia gathered the humans who survived along with the Triforce onto a plot of land and sent it into the sky. She positioned a heavy barrier of clouds between the island in the sky and the land below to protect the humans and the Tiforce.

- Taken from HH

This isn't all, Hylia then with the remaining people behind battled Demise and was able to seal him away.

The goddess and the remaining tribes battled for their lives against Demise. They were victorious and they sealed him away.

Now Demise is noted as one with the power to destroy the entire world.

It is said Demise, the evil of all evil, who commands enough power to destroy the world.

Hylia also created the sword spirit Fi.

"Link, the goddess created Fi and the great blade she's a part of for very specific reasons." — Zelda

The Goddess Sword was then transformed into the Master Sword after bathing in the Sacred fires of the goddesses.

Link continued his task of tampering the Goddess Sword in the sacred flames of the Golden Goddesses. Imbued with the immense, sacred power of the Force, the Goddess Sword was transformed into the Master Sword.

The Sacred power of the Force is noted as the breath of life itself.

So....here we have what is clearly the most powerful weapon in the entirety of the LoZverse, yet the Triforce is above it.

Now the Triforce has granted a number of wishes, these include...

1. Flooded Hyrule.

2. Defeated an Imprisoned Demise. (He was more or less just emerging from the broken seal that kept him.)

3. Restored peace to the world and brought back those who were killed.

The Hero laid his hands on the Triforce and wished for peace to return to the world. The people who had been sacrificed, including Link's uncle and the King of Hyrule, were also restored and in good health.

Now in the grand scheme of things, they aren't huge wishes that people would expect. However...having the Triforce completed in every game and making a wish every game would kind of devalue the whole importance of the heroes, if they could just wish away their problems.

Less is more in this case and the Triforce has shown and is noted to be very powerful.

HOWEVER...as noted above, one can only achieve such power if they wish for it. Meaning that, while they might have the individual aspects of each piece, in order to fully utilize said power, they must make a wish.

So...is The Triforce a powerful object? Yes of course, it's one of the most powerful things in all of Nintendo and the most powerful thing in the Legend of Zeldaverse.

Now am I saying that with it Link would be able to beat anyone?...No.

I think we can all at least come to an understanding that, if not accepting of infinite...then you can at least accept very great power/
