Battle:Samuel Vimes Vs Sasquatch

Sasquatch has a very well educated mind, able to create fantastic techonological feats. He has the ability to become big and hairy.

Will this be enough to battle the insidious mind of Samuel Vimes, a man so inventive in combat that the assassins guild has stopped taking hits on him?

I think Snake Eyes will fusk them both with a rusty burning chain saw.

And McCain too.

PS! That fusk was totally a different word but I got...turd... about it earlier when I wrote like a grown up. I left in the gratouitous violence though, because apparantly thats a-o-FUSKING-K.

Well, it does have a personality so it can be reasoned with; and it also seems it allowes it's host a great bit of autonomity so that Jean Grey could call the shots while under the effect of the Phoenix Force. So I guess the only way to really survive the phoenix is to

a) Not piss it off (which really is quite easily avoidable)

or

b) Try to convince it not to snuff your life like a candle in the wind.

Both are perfectly doable, but is sort of putting the whole thing int o a non-battle mode.

I dont think exaggerating the phoenix force's abilities is actually possible.

It's power level is ridiculous. I paired her up against Captain Atom and the Phantom Stranger but I might have to rethink it as they both are forms of life and can be snuffed at will by the Phoenix Force, a feat that if is done in return would mean the death of all forms of life.

Add to this that she can't even be ported away somewhere for safety, it's everywhere always, and the DC's have themselves a douzee.

This doesn't even have to be "X-Men vs. JLA", it could be "Just about anything you could possibly think of vs. The Phoenix Force" and the battle would still go to the Phoenix.

I'm staying with my initial statement; neither of them will win.

On the small scale we have two different sort of power houses. DC have their superman/green ringman physical dudes, while Marvel have their telekinetic/telepathic dudes. afaik all the DC heroes seem to have some sort of weakness (i.e the colour yellow) and/or are very little resistant to telepathic controls. And Marvel has lots of those. On the other hand the DC heroes are mostly really indestructible. Superman can have planets hurled at him. BUT, this is just a smal scale squabble between the small-timers. Both sides also have people able to undo the very fabric of reality and destroy galaxies.

EITHER: red witch and/or Zatanna render the other or both parties powerless OR phoenix and Captain Atom goes at it and the universe is FUBAR.

Or, the final possibility, the X-men take telepathic control over the biggest power houses of DC and let them take out eachother, supes is the only one left standing. Gateway ports Superman to another dimension. Battle over.

As I understood it, and I haven't read up on this shit so I'm full of it, New Son travelled back in time to kill the Phoenix before she rose to power.

Nah, they're not really in the same league.

Not only is Unicron larger and humanoid with a ridiculous array of weapons; he's also the God of chaos, created the universe in a battle and has destroyed galaxies while not paying attention to them.

Only reason he was destroyed was because the Autobots had the essence of the God of Order, the second creator of the universe and Unicrons eternal enemy, and released it inside him.

I don't think the fight with superman'd be so easy as some of you think. If superman actually got unicrons attention I think the man of steel'd be flattened like a bug. He actually is the size of saturn (at least in the mags I have), and if superman can be hurt by anything I'd expect that anything to be a earth-sized fist coming at him at light-speed, or eye-beams powerfull enough to make the most powerful super-nova look like a new years eve rocket.

Morrow, Amos Fortune, Mr. Freeze, Ray Palmer, Rip Hunter, Gizmo, The Chief, any of the many mad scientists brought together during 52 that I haven't already named, etc. Mr. Terrific got one mention on the whole page? I know Brainiac 5 is from the future, but he should easily make this list. DC has brains."

Ye, but DC still doesn't have anyone matching the intellects of Reed Richards, Amadeus Cho, Iron Man, Dr. Doom, Professor Xavier, Black Panther and Hank Pym; with the POSSIBLE exception of Brainiac, although I actually think he'd come in lower than all the afforementioned characters.
