The Balrog is a creature of fire and shadow.  It cannot bleed.  Am I right in assuming a Balrog can breathe fire?  I know this is a bit off subject but I wonder how Conan would fair against a bad ass wizard like Gandalf?  I suppose as Conan would be slaughtered by the Balrog then Gandalf would crush him but it would be an interesting fight.

Conan is obviously a bad ass warrior.  He has defeated sorcerors, demons, monsters, and hordes of soldiers.  The Balrog, however, seems to be a unique opponent for him and should make for a great match-up.  A fallen Maia (the name for wizards in Tolkien's universe) transformed into a demon of shadow and flame, the Balrog wields a massive fiery sword and whip, and can most likely breathe fire.  If I am wrong please post a correction.  Conan has wielded many weapons in his time but for this battle he may choose between swords, axes, and shields, in any combination he wishes.  The battle takes place in an open field.  Who takes this fight?

Alright, I get it, Batman stomps.  Sorry didn't mean to create a spite thread but I suppose if you review all the information Batman destroys in combat and is too mentally disciplined and brilliant to be outsmarted or manipulated by Hannibal.  Batman for the easy win.  Thanks for the insight guys.  Thread closed.

This is true.  Just curious about other people's opinions.  Thanks for the insight.

Yes, I know Hannibal has never been in any comics, not any I've heard of anyway, but he seems like any interesting person to pit against the Dark Night so here we go.  Now this is sort of a multi-faceted debate.  Both of these men are brilliant geniuses.  Hannibal is a prodigy when it comes to understanding the human mind and the human body, while Batman's knowledge is limited to criminal psychology.  Batman, however,  is a master of weapons and gadgets, science and technology, and is a nearly peerless hand-to-hand combatant.  I know Hannibal has had some training in martial arts.  I guess my first question is how a battle, not of the minds but involving actual combat, would go between them.  Some forums seem to portray Hannibal as able to best Batman in a direct confrontation.

All I know is that if the FBI or SWAT went after the Joker he would kill so many of their men before the ever managed to kill him in turn it would hardly be worth it.  You say how easily he took out the best Gotham PD could throw at him in "The Dark Knight".  Oh, and yes I believe that Batman should kill the Joker.  The Joker thinks if Batman takes a life then he becomes just as bad as him.  The way the Joker kills is, however, so much different.  He kills people to create madness and pain.  He revels in destruction.  If Bruce ever took a life it would be to save countless others and return order to madness.  But I do agree the Joker is almost too much fun to kill.  Especially when Mark Hamill is voicing him.

I know I'm late to the party but I might as well state my opinion anyway.  The question is not if Batman can defeat Jason but how Jason has any chance against Batman?  Batman is incredibly skilled and trained to physical perfection.  Even if Jason caught up to Batman he would dodge anything Jason sent his way, be it machete swings, fist blows, or even thrown bladed-weapons.  Batman would also quickly realize Jason's "super-zombie" status.  Jason's advantage would become his greatest weakness.  Batman would have no moral inhibitions on deploying lethal gadgets and weapons against an undead abomination.  Then items like explosive batarangs and cryo-bombs would come into play.  The batarangs would turn Jason into chunky salsa while the cryo-bombs would freeze him solid and allow him to be shattered with a few well placed blows.  Then it would only be a matter of incinerating the pieces with a flame based gadget or weapon.  Even if Jason came back from complete physical destruction, which has never been demonstrated in the films, Batman would only have to repeat the same strategy, and then enlist the aid of a powerful wizard like Doctor Fate.  Fate could easily cast a spell that would undo the curse of immortality placed on Jason and lock his rotting soul in hell forever.  In short, Jason should stay out of the DC Universe.  He wouldn't last long.

Thanks for the replies and that is a great picture of the Joker.  I apologize, I didn't mean to imply Flamingo was Batman's deadliest foe.  It was more of a question.  But I do have to say, from my knowledge of the Joker, he would never directly engage Batman, Robin, and Jason Todd at the same time.  Todd alone almost killed him the last time they had a run in.  Joker is more of an indirect fighter (aka bizarre gadgets and traps).  What makes him so bad ass is his unpredictability and brilliant, if insane, mind.

Zack Snyder has skills.  This should be the Superman movie we have been waiting for.

I know this is a really late reply but this fight is pretty simple.  Punisher is a brilliant tactician.  He would figure out very fast that Jason won't die from gunshot wounds.  He would then proceed to blow Jason apart with an MG32 grenade launcher (that's a real weapon by the way).  A few shots from that and Jason is a sloppy Joe style super zombie.  Punisher would then proceed to splatter Jason in every sequel Vorhees returned in until the writers got tired of making sequels.
