LETS GO BACK TO THE 80'S!!!!!

For the past two years, I have been sharing my love of the 80's by hosting retro movie events in Miami, Florida. Fans have joined me for big screen engagements of the "original" ROBOCOP, GOONIES, GREMLINS, BEETLEJUICE, BILL & TED'S EXCELLENT ADVENTURE, CHILD'S PLAY, A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET 4, plus many more. I have hosted these screenings through my music and movie site Keepitclassic.com and the recently launched PopcornNights.com

One of my favorite 80's memories was collecting trading cards. Anything from STAR WARS to HOWARD THE DUCK. I have been wanting to launch a site that focused on these hard-to-find collectables, so I came up with 80sCards.com

I need is to build enough inventory to launch with and I need your help to do it.

80's movie lovers like myself are totally going to dig this site and if you help make it happen, I will have some most excellent perks for you.

Donate $10 - You will receive 1 surprise original pack of 80's movie cards

Donate $25 - You will receive 3 surprise original packs of 80's movie cards

Donate $50 - You will receive 8 surprise original packs of 80's movie cards

Donate $100 - You will receive 20 surprise original packs of 80's movie cards

The money you donate will go towards us tracking down and stocking up on these collectable cards. The first of our awesome new inventory will we awarded to those of you who helped us create 80sCards.com

Just because some of you cannot contribute, doesn’t mean you can’t help spread the word. Use the Indiegogo share tools to let your friends know about my awesome campaign.

O Cinema & Popcorn Nights are proud to present the 1982 comic book movie classic “Swamp Thing”, directed by Wes Craven.

The screening will be followed by a live Skype Q&A with make-up & creature artist Bill Munns (Swamp Thing, Return of the Living Dead, Beastmaster).

In the swamps of Louisiana, Dr. Alec Holland works with his sister Linda on a top-secret bio-engineering project to create a plant/animal hybrid capable of thriving in extreme environments. Government agent Alice Cable arrives just as Holland makes a major breakthrough, and begins to develop feelings for him. However, a paramilitary group led by the evil Dr. Anton Arcane, who is obsessed with immortality, kills Linda while trying to steal the formula for their own purposes. During the attack, Alice escapes and Alec is covered in chemicals, caught on fire, and runs screaming in the swamp, presumably to die. However, he returns as a monstrously mutated plant creature. As the Swamp Thing, Holland battles Arcane’s forces to protect Cable, and eventually takes on the mad doctor himself, who has also mutated from his incomplete understanding of the Holland formula.

Swamp Thing first appeared in House of Secrets #92 (July 1971) which was set in the early 20th century before DC Comics gave the character his own solo series set in the contemporary world. In 1982, director Wes Craven was given the task of bringing the humanoid mass of vegetable matter to the big screen. Did he pull it off? Over the years opinions have been mixed, but one thing is for sure, there is no other movie based on a comic book hero quite like Swamp Thing. ”Swamp Thing” went on to spawn a 1989 sequel titled “Return of Swamp Thing”, which shifted the tone completely. That was followed by a live-action TV series and a five-part animated series.

Popcorn Nights & O Cinema have decided to show “Swamp Thing” the love it truly deserves. It is a one-of-a-kind flick and we are bringing it back to the big screen for one-night-only

The screening will be hosted by Marc Ferman of PopcornNights.com & Keepitclassic.com . There will be giveaways by Shout! Factory Make sure to reserve your tickets now for this exclusive one-night-only event!

O Cinema & Popcorn Nights have teamed up for a special monthly retro movie night that will take place on the last Wednesday of every month!

SINISTER was the secret screening at SXSW in Austin this past March and the reviews have been really good. Many are saying it's actually quite scary. I was at SXSW but when they were having the secret screening, I was at the V/H/S screening which was actually quite good as well. I will be the the Miami SINISTER screening.

If you see only one movie this year about a group of people trapped in a submerged grocery store with a bloodthirsty shark, make it BAIT 3D. Keepitclassic.com is pleased to bring this new Australian 3D thriller to Miami for a one-night-only special engagement screening. After watching the trailer ourselves, we thought this would be a great selection to discover with fellow movie lovers. Besides, it's going to be a hell of a good time promoting a film about a shark in a grocery store.

The event will be hosted by Marc Ferman of Keepitclassic.com and will include a brief introduction and prizes. We want to continue to bring awesome movies to Miami so support the cause. Make sure to purchase your tickets NOW!!!

Tickets can only be purchased through Tugg.com, not at the theater. Also, when you reserve your tickets, you will not be charged for them until we reach our threshold. I hope to see you there!

"When a monstrous freak tsunami hits a sleepy beach community, a group of survivors from different walks of life find themselves trapped inside a submerged grocery store. As they try to escape to safety, they soon discover that there is a predator among them more deadly than the threat of drowning—vicious great white sharks lurking in the water, starved hungry for fresh meat. As the bloodthirsty sharks begin to pick the survivors off one by one, the group realizes that they must work together to find a way out without being eaten alive. This intense 3D thriller features a stellar ensemble cast, including Xavier Samuel (The Twilight Saga: Eclipse), Sharni Vinson (Step Up 3D), Alex Russell (Chronicle), and Julian McMahon (Fantastic Four)"

Hey South Florida

Come join us for the 25th anniversary screening of the sci-fi classic ROBOCOP. This special event will take place on Thursday, June 21st at the AMC Aventura 24 in Miami, Florida. (9:30pm) Tickets can only be purchased online here

In the summer of 1987, Director Paul Verhoeven (TOTAL RECALL, STARSHIP TROOPERS, BASIC INSTINCT) brought us the pop-culture classic ROBOCOP. A film that is truly a product of its time.

Detroit…in the near future. A cop who dies in the line of duty is transformed into a chrome-plated, indestructible, crime-fighting cyborg by the corporation which now runs the police department. The only hitch: this “perfect” cop still seeks revenge on the sadistic creeps who mutilated him.”

ROBOCOP is one of our favorite films and we are extremely excited about bringing it back to the big screen to celebrate its anniversary.

Tickets are only available online through Tugg. You will not be able to purchase them at the theaters box office.

Tickets are only $9 and we must sell a minimum of 80 tickets before the deadline. Your credit card will not be charged until we reach the 80 ticket threshold.
