Structurally, that chart cannot exist as it is drawn! This may be simply a question of semantics, since JohnnyO is British, but in American parlance, "Libertarian" is not the antithesis of  "Authoritarian"..."Liberal" is. There is no such thing as a liberal Libertarian.

I didn't look at the chart yesterday, because my ideology prevented me from answering the very first question. But the whole philosophy of the liberal pivots around the concept of collectivism. The philosophy of the libertarian pivots around the concept of individualism. "
Libertarians=individual
Authoritarian=group

Right=conservative
Left=Liberal

There is actually a difference between the two sets of beliefs but your right in that it is more a British way to look at things.  Just because you are a liberal does not mean you are a authoritarian.

I've always considered myself to be a conservative liberal or a liberal libertarian. Politics are not always black and white.

Not so. Different countries have different currencies. But all countries trade in the US dollar. BIG difference.

They trade in US currency because it is the most stable (or at least it used to be until recently.) "

My bad, the US dollar is the Global RESERVE currency.

  Like Obama does day after day after day...hour after hour after hour.
"
Comparing Obama to Palin is pretty far fetched and you know it. Regardless of whether or not you like the current Prez, he is far superior intellectually and vocally when compared to that dim wit. "
The only difference between Obama's drivel and Palin's is that Obama has a teleprompter.   He is not a good ad hoc speaker. Even liberal comedians make fun of what he says when the teleprompter isn't around. "

Every respectable president has used notes or a written speech when talking to a large crowd. Some of the most famous speeches in American history were pre-written/thought out.

Palin writes her notes on her palm... and she stairs at her had while giving speeches....

" @.o0Johnny0o.:    You know I like you, Johnny, but unfortunately I cannot take your survey because it begins: "If economic globalisation is inevitable, it should primarily serve humanity rather than the interests of trans-national corporations."  I don't believe in an international currency, and true "economic globalization" would be contingent on exactly that. "

The US dollar is currently the global currency.

I took the test. I scored almost exactly the same as Gandhi.

@Slight: I got the part where she didn't know what the vice president's job was... WHILE SHE WAS RUNNING TO BE VICE PRESIDENT!

" Everyone has the right to talk about what they want. If you don't like it, stay out of the thread. Simple as that.    Palin will not win the Republican nomination. She is far too polarizing. She scores highly with republican voters but VERY poorly with independents and you need both your own party and a good portion of the independents to win the presidential election.   As an independent I don't care what party is elected into office, I look more for who I believe has the qualifications and the ability to lead. Palin has neither. Quitting office and starring in her own reality show have doomed her of any future potential of running for office.  Hell, even her own backed candidate in Alaska didn't win. "
But she did back Rand Paul...and he's got more leadership qualities than all the other members of the Senate and House put together!

She got that one right. :-) "
I honestly don't know much about Rand Paul, I'll definitely read up on him more.
