LOL -- k, I must say, I like the way you think. I shall read the back of an Old Spice deodorant when next at the store (hopefully Canadians didn't sacrifice the funny part to accommodate the French translation)

Grrr...well I am still going to attempt resisting. As long as I don't look at the image again, I should be okay. ;P

Top. Easy to answer for me lol. I just feel sorry for all the people that would be blinded by my pale pasty skin lol. I have a high cold tolerance and if I did get cold I'd wear a cloak, because that is not a top, Hah!

No.

No, I will picture them this size forever and not growing up into the vicious and scary animals they are. These particular ones are tiny hippos, they are all full-sized already and that's that. -_-

Unrelated: I'm going to share this article as much as possible because it makes me happy.

I love that article! It was really well written and honestly, even I knew there was something off with Renner's positioning of both arms. To be fair, I took archery in the 10th grade but it was part of the phys ed curriculum and I barely paid attention.

I love the update too. It shouldn't have taken too much effort for him to get it right. To give even more allowance, I am all about proper positioning because its not just for optimum performance but for safety as well. Those double arm guards still have me giggling.

@lykopis: The reason I like the article is because I do go to some archery discussion sites, and you would not believe (or possibly you would) the amount of s##t they give too Jennifer Lawrence about her technique with a bow when she was trained how to use one by a freaking Olympian. They also make comments about how her arm is off and then I looked up images of her use of a bow in the movie and they were completely full of s##t! Her arms were positioned correctly and she was spot on in using proper technique for pretty much the whole film. Yet you hardly here word one about Jeremy Renner's use of a bow when it is way off for a great deal of the movie. It's obviously because there is this sexism that women can't be good at that kind of stuff or even into it. *sigh*

As for arm guards I do use one but I honestly don't really need it because the sting almost never actually hits my forearm. But in the off chance it does, I like to have it because it hurts a good deal, my long bow is a 45 lb draw weight So it can cause some sufficient pain. Plus my arm guard is a medieval kind so I love it and it just looks cool lol.

I'm going to link the Brave and Hunger games article as well so people get what the right way is and understand more clearly the complexity of form.

Ugh, that is so annoying. You know that is going to get my attention -- wish I had known about it back then but no worries, I'll get vocal about it should it be pursued in the second film. Jennifer Lawrence is an amazing actress and it's good to know she took the character seriously -- even in compensating for her double-jointedness.

The article on Brave was even more enlightening. The examples of the three suitors and presentation of common "mistakes" done correctly speaks volumes of the film's director, and also the finite attention with Merida. I had no idea, thanks for the information. :)

@lykopis: I think it's nice to finally get some young strong female role models in film for children. The older Disney movies that I grew up with are definitely classics but they pretty much only have women in the "damsel in distress" role. Even when they are strong and independent it almost always ends up with them in distress and needing the male hero to save them. There are exceptions of course, but they are definitely not the majority.

On another note, in Disney's Snow White the title character is fourteen, whereas prince charming is at least early twenties.... a twenty-year-old kisses a unconscious fourteen-year-old girl.... Thinking about it like that definitely adds a whole new creep factor to the film lol.

Yep. Not one Disney animated film up until Brave had a female title character not be saved by a male. Mulan was hailed as one but in the end, she still had the guy save her --- they did better with The Princess and the Frog by having her a no nonsense, independent hard working woman but again, she got the prince marrying her so there's that.

What you said about Snow White brought to mind a recent image @aiden_cross uploaded:

I have a surefire way to prove that there are indeed levels of creepy, but it would shatter your reality and make you question all you hold to be true. So I will instead go with a dead baby joke,

What's worse than a sack of dead baby's?

The one in the middle eating it's way out.

What's worse than that?

Said baby going back for seconds.

What's worse than that?

The mothers that put them there.

Seriously think about it, if it was one dead baby ok fine one women went off the deep end, but it's a sack of dead babies. To me that implies at least ten dead babies, how the hell do you get a sack of ten dead babies? Either someones robbing a newborn nursery or you have a twisted version of a pregnancy pact going on here. Plus they left one alive! You can not honestly say that they wouldn't realize there was a live one once they put it in poor thing would be crying it's eyes out. And why a sack? Well I'll tell you, those babies were no ordinary babies they were the bastards of demons and they were all put in there to fight it out to the baby death and whoever won would become the next lord of darkness. But simply winning is not enough, no, the next lord of darkness must also consume those he defeated in battle, hence the baby going back for seconds. Oh and the sack was made of the skin of ritualistically sacrificed virgins.

Do you see that there can be levels of creepy now lol.

@rabbitearsblog: Well I grew up with "X-Men the Animated Series" (the one from the 90's) however when I re watched some episodes on netflix it just didn't hold up. So I'll have to say "Wolverine and the X-Men". It truly is unfortunate that the series wasn't really given a proper chance.

@rabbitearsblog: Yeah, I mean not a lot of children's cartoons start off that strong. One example being X-Men Evolution. It was pretty silly and not very good in my opinion, however as the series progressed it did start to become a better show with a more serious tone which is what I like for an X-Men cartoon personally. What was probably my favorite children's cartoon as a child was Gargoyles, it started out strong and all the while as it progressed it stayed strong and kept evolving the character dynamics into more complex relationships. That show was truly one of the currently unsung greats. And when the hell are they going to release the whole series on DVD! lol. They have only released season one and season two part one. I want the whole series! =,(

I agree about Gargoyles!! I loved that show too when I was little and I also loved the way they developed the characters and woven interesting stories for the characters. I hope they get the complete series on DVD soon!

@lykopis: Not tons, but I have watched a few that I am quite fond of. A lot of them tend to be old school horror films. Like Nosferatu, Last Man on Earth, the original House on Haunted Hill. I also like Once Upon a Time in the West, To Kill a Mockingbird, The Birds, Psycho, Night of the Living Dead, Rosemary's Baby which linked to our conversation in the How are you feeling thread featured another famous actress who was beautiful at the time. Mia Farrow. The site isn't letting me upload pictures right now though, so you'll have to look it up on your own.

Any way those are some of my fav's from that time period. Oh, I also love to watch the old school Godzilla movies that were made then lol.
