My nephew in-law recently told me he read a Green Lantern comic at school and he really liked it. His 13^th Birthday is coming up and my brother’s girlfriend says he only has some of the Walking Dead trades. He also told me he loves the Hulk. I do not read Hulk or Green Lantern comics so…

What are some good story arcs, minis or runs I can pick him up for his birthday to start his comic collection. Keep in mind I do not want to spend too much, about $50. Any help would be appreciated.
