@batshrine: awesome list u made there. I was searching for a complete batman TPB chronology for a long time. Thanks to u now I can start collecting batman trades without any confusion.

Nolan's take on batman's previous movies were awesome.I think he will do absolute justice to TDKR and it will surpass both avengers and spiderman. BATMAN rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks to everyone for their valuable inputs. It really helped me a lot. The world of comics is pretty vast and i really needed some suggestions to get me sorted.

Hi guys,

I am new to the comic world and interested in dark and intense stuff. I have started with the batman story arcs like year one, long Halloween, arkham asylum, arkham city, Hush, etc and first six volumes of spawn origins.

Now I want to read and explore more stories involving similar dark characters and story lines. Could anyone of you help by suggesting the same ?

For me, BATMAN is and will be the best comic book character ever created. I like him mainly for his awesome detective skills. Also he is one of the best martial artists and has the most awesome gadgets.
