they are all rather fantastic films

I love them all.  Here is how I rank them:
 10.   A Bug's Life:  Tenth on the list but still awesome.  !)
9.   Cars:  A great story for all ages, especially kids
8.   The Incredibles:  Action movies at there best.  Hey, its a superhero movie too.  @#$% yeah!
7.    Finding Nemo:  You've gotta love it.  Touching coming of age comedy.  One of the first movies I ever watched.
6.   Ratatouille:  I'm a critic/reviewer.  I have to love this.
5.  Toy Story II:  Transitions are hard.  this film deals with it.  not all sequels have to be bad.  oh and it and my number one pick are the funniest pixar films.
4.  Monsters, Inc.:  Endlessly creative, endlessly touching.  Watch this movie.
3.  Up:  A little offensive at times, but still the story of aging being the begining not the end is powerful.
2.  Toy Story:  I've got to put this up there because it started this new age of film.  Oh and its really good too.  And its visuals still are stunning 18 years later.
1.  Wall-E:  touching powerful  ive seen it move all sorts of people to tears it is a true classic the very essence of humanity is in that little robot.

oh yeah.  you know what, i bet an animated power pack film from pixar could be great.  but now they are doing live action so it we could also have that.  anyway its great, unless they ruin a dark character by being to light.  but i think they could do power pack well.  @hdorman1 said:

Pixar is doing live-action? O_o

My only complainty about the RT listings is that Incredibles and Finding Nemo are way too high. I didn't really think that either of them were upper 90% films, and personally, I liked Wall-E more than both.

Still, Pixar hasn't made a bad movie yet. They're all pretty tops (though Cars was kinda shady).

Wall-E was pretty enjoyable, but not as amazing as the critics rank it to be, IMO.

My favorite Pixar film is A Bug's Life.

Edited by Matezoide2

my favorite Pixar film is Monster INC

techonology wise,Pixar movies are always ''advanced in time'' when compared to other movies,Toy Story 1 and 2 and Bugs Life's animation was the sh!t back then and it is still amazing, yet even nowdays animations struggle to be that good

yup  first one will be 1906 directed by brad bird (ratatouille, incredibles).  its on the 1906 san fran earthquake.  its in development, so it could still be cancelled.  but they are planning on making it.  @Sparda said:

Wow.

I wonder how that will turn up.

That's the thing about Pixar. Even their worst movie is still a freaking fantastic movie.

yeah its pretty great.  i dont think there is anyother film brand, maybe no other brand anywhere, that is as reliable.

simple put,you can go see any animation with the word ''Pixar'' without any fear of wasting your time

most of my favorite movies when i was little (had then for VHS) were from Disney, including Life's Bug,Monsters INC and Toy Story 1 and 2

ps: i cried watching Finding Nemo

Toy Story is and will always be the best IMO. It's an incredible film and one of my favorites of all time.

Those are pretty good odds for Toy Story 3

wow... thats marvelous
Posted by aztek_the_lost

now please, nobody tar and feather me, but I never was the biggest Toy Story fan, I remember watching them as a kid but they just didn't have any real interesting character's...however these are all good films (at least the ones I've seen) but I don't see why they get such high praises...A Bug's Life has to be my favorite of the bunch though, loved that movie when I was younger!

@aztek the lost:
I agree with you. I think they're overhyped. Good but don't understand the reputation they have.

I adore Pixar films, my favourite being Wall-E. The new Toy Story is keeping the tradition alive as well with a current RT score of 99%. I can't wait to see it.

Posted by Violet-Eyed Dragon
@aztek the lost: @Ebbm:   id reccommend wall-e  it's higher quality.

No way. Toy Story > Wall-E

Posted by aztek_the_lost
@Violet-Eyed Dragon: I have seen Wall-E, it was good fun but still not "the most amazing movie in the world" as so many try and make it out to be

nope.  wall-e had much more character development and symbolism.  @aztek the lost said:

it's not the most amazing movie in the world, but it is better than a lot of more celebrated films like the dark knight or avatar or even the hurt locker.

WALL-E wasn't all that great to be honest, I don't know why it's got so much hype.
CARS was terrible
and UP was soooo depressing, I wanted to die within the first 10 minutes.

Posted by Violet-Eyed Dragon
@Cherry Bomb: how was cars "terrible"?  terrible is a strong word.
Posted by Cherry Bomb
@Violet-Eyed Dragon:  I personally didn't like Cars, I thought it lacked behind and was nothing like the other movies Pixar has normally come out with, in a bad way. I prefer it when they use animals, or even monsters. I don't think using Cars as characters was appealing.

Love Pixar, but I think my faves are their shorts.  They are so well done and so clever.

I would go see a Pixar animated movie over a Disney animated movie with my kids any day, hands down.  I'm still getting over the horror that was Hunchback.

Whomever thought it was a good idea to graphically animate and put to music a scene about a old religious man's sexual obsession needs to be shot.
