... And was it worth anything in the end? The deaths I mean, from Ultimate X-Men. I've been closely discussing this issue with Morpheus, thanks for listening, and am wondering what you guys think. For example, after spending may be six or seven comics for Dazzler to wake up from a coma, was it worth killing her in the end? And then that issue with Colossus and Nightcrawler regarding the Russian's sexuality, just when Kurt was starting to accept his friend, what was the point of killing him off when they could have easily started fresh again? The Banshee arc was a beginning, the start of their friendship that was was burnt before, why kill him before they could have a true heart-to-heart? Now I see now point in Kurt joining Piotr in the first place when rushing after JP. And for Wolverine and Cyclops? Exactly what was the point in killing off the two main characters in the title? Are they thinking of pulling another "dead lamb" where Jean gives up her life and everyone magically comes back to life again? So far, that's all I see.
We've had out share of power couples in X-Men animated series, comic books, and movies. They're in power, because we tend to remember them the most when they're over. Just a few off the top of my head.; Romy from X-Men TAS, Jott from XEvo, Magneto/Rogue from AoA, Jott, Logan/Jean, Bobby/Rogue from Ultimate, and a couple of thousand more from all over the place. Question is now, whose going to take power couple seat in Wolverine and the X-Men? So far, we have a series of relationships up for grabs.
Scott/Emma (the whole damn season, just watch it.) Scott/Jean (Breakdown, Shades of Grey, Foresight pts. 2 and 3) Mystique/Logan (Stolen Lives) Kitty/Bobby (Battle Lines and Greetings from Genosha) Gambit/Polaris (Aces and Eights) Kurt/Wanda (Greetings from Genosha, Hunting Grounds, and Aces and Eights) Logan/Mariko (Code of Conduct) Storm/Warren (Guardian Angel)
Now, we've seen them all appear and make impact on their individual episode(s), but which one(s) is/are going to make the most impact, will actually be remebered later on, and stick it to the end, no matter what? We all know 26 episodes have gone by already, setting up ground for EIGHT possible couples that might just make it for end game. We also know another 52 episodes have already been ordered and are going to air in the coming months, beating out the original series episode count. This much is happening, but what romantic spur will make it's name in this show? My opinion? Scott/Emma will be PC for this one, but then again, Pobit seems likely too, I assume it's one of those underdog pairings that pop out of nowehre, no one expects them to do anything, and then poof, they make enough chemistry to blow up Genosha. Bad pun, but who are cares?
What couples, if any, would've made better sense rather than an already established iconic couple? For me, Piotr/Rogue would've made better sense rather than Rogue/Remy.
Kitty freakin' Pryde. For once, damn you, Frost. Yup, it's one of those rambling moments I'm having. Eh, I just can't get over the fact that she's really gone, Kitty freakin' Pryde finally left. She isn't technically dead, but she's gone. Tsk, tsk, Frost. I don't know, late reaction? Or, it could be the rum in my hands, I dunno, and I frankly, I really don't care.
Shall we look back at her final moments?
Honestly, I was still hoping for one kiss, let it be a friendly kiss, a goodbye kiss, a bloody hug from Nightcrawler's side before she finally went, but hell to f*ck no, they left her life at the hands of Frost. Hmph, At the hands of Frost, for Lord's sake!? Mind me not, I love Frost, but leave it to her to attempt saving Kitty? Absolute bull. Kitty Pryde did not deserve to die, even if Pete Wisdom was her biggest mistake.
