@del_torro: I would love to see a mini-series with these Thors. One of the things I enjoyed about Secret Wars was all the Thors. And I wish the THORS mini was longer than the 4 issues so we could have gotten into more of the different Thors. Now granted I'd be good with them not being the cosmic police, since the Green Lanterns already do that, but I think there could be a great story for that too happen.

I agree, that Hercules needs to return to the Marvel Universe. I understand that Thor has the big push due to his movie exposure, but there is enough room for Hercules to take part in a MU book and to be a vital character.

I miss not seeing the Lion of Olympus on a regular basis!

An Ultimate Hercules is currently appearing in Ultimate Comics: The Ultimates. He first appeared in issue 27 and 28 (the most recent issue). He should be in the next two as well.

Herc will also be appearing in Fearless Defenders #9 in September. Beyond that, there has been no new info of him appearing in any monthly series or his own. I'm hoping that when Marvel announces their NOW! Wave 2 plans soon, he'll be a part of that plan.

I definitely want to see him restored to his godly power levels. I have no problem with him being a full time Avenger or having his own series or own new team series ala Champions or God Squad! I would prefer not to see him in Avengers Academy, since he won't have any focus, just be a background character with little input or action. Most of the focus is on the kids of the Academy, and not on the teachers/counselors.

As for villains, they could bring Ares back and make him Herc's nemesis. Hera was done in the Incredible Herc series, so I think a new foe is needed at least for the beginning. Hera could always come back into the spotlight later. A good writer can create a new nemesis that has staying power and is a true threat for Herc.

I enjoyed the HERC series, but I thought it would be a means to an end. Meaning that the stories would showcase more of Herc's skills and then in the end re-power him and as a character in the MU, he would now be looked at as a hero with Power and Skills! Instead, he is still depowered and most still refer to his power/strength only. And he's hardly seen in the MU.

He needs to be re-powered and brought back to prominence

I saw this link and these posts a while back and even posted the link and commented on the CBR boards. I agree with much of what PowerHerc stated. My comic reading doesn't go back as far as others, but from what I have either read or know about those comics in question, Herc definitely had the Edge or at least draw in some of the Hulk edged issues.

I do fully agree that Hulk 107 is more toward Herc than Hulk in that Herc took the blows and not because he couldn't fight back, he chose not to, to allow Hulk to vent and to show him that he has allies. To withstand the blows and get up at the end ready to help Hulk, shows Herc has more power and strength than Hulk.

Great collection of produced and rare statues, figures and collectibles! I have the two Herc's statues the regular Herc bust, the Marvel figure, the heroclix and the minimate. I would love to have a figure of Herc in his recent outfit with the shield and sword. I'm happy with my little collection, but it pales in comparison :-)
