About Me

Molly Munroe is an ordinary girl who felt like being something extraordinary.

Origin

Beginnings:

Molly Munroe was born and raised in the country. As a child Molly was extremely outgoing with a passion for art and literature. Her parents, Doctor and Professor Munroe wanted their daughter to have some interest in sciences so they took away her books and art supplies and sent her to the Broderick Academy for Intellectual Youth. It was during her stay at the Academy that Molly found a new love. Heroes. Molly quickly became bored with her studies, she had no interest in science and fact. Her mind would always wander to caped crusaders and masked vigilantes protecting people and sometimes even the entire world. Slowly, Molly began to crave that adventure. That sense of honour and responsibility. She wanted more and more to become a hero. Molly once again pulled out her pencils and designed costumes. She planned out adventures and wrote out heroic names for herself. Not once did she even consider the fact she had no powers. The fact that she was stuck in school. She was dreaming of breaking down walls and saving innocent people. For the most part these ideas were mere daydreams and fantasies. It wasn't until Molly actually saved an innocent that she chose her path. On the afternoon that Molly fought off ten muggers while they attempted to assault one of her fellow classmates, Molly found herself empowered. The event led to her being hospitalized and in a wheelchair for six months but Molly simply waited. Her time was coming. She was going to be a hero.

Next Steps:

While she was stuck on wheels Molly got to planning her next course of action. She had everything she needed to start her heroic career, but she wanted more. Slowly but surely Molly started to get her act together. Setting up computer systems and making gadgets for herself Molly soon had an entire network. In only six months she had gotten everything ready for the launch of her superhero career. Costume sewn, gadgets made, city network running and name chosen. The minute Molly was given a clean bill of health she was ready to go. All she needed was some kind of major crime. Something to get her start. On the first night out on the city Molly tried to stop a robbery but ended up tripping in her overly large costume. Her second night out was no better. Molly's costume adjustments made it hard to breathe. By her fourth week as a "hero" Molly was just about ready to give up when opened a door and slammed it into an armed robber. It wasn't intentional, but it was a start.

Mission Improbable:

The fact that Molly had no powers only made her work harder at becoming a better hero. She made so many edits to her costume that by the time she was done with it, it looked nothing like the first. At any time, in any weather, for any reason, Molly was there to help. Taking on the responsibility only made Molly a better person. Signing up for classes she was able to improve her fighting skills and agility. Having not been too active before Molly had to take her training slow so not to bring about any suspicion from her parents and friends. Becoming a big name on the streets Molly didn't have any problems with not being on the news or in the papers. She remained low level, no name and really didn't mind. It wasn't until Molly saved the mayors daughter that things started to switch gears. Suddenly people were watching her every move. Waiting for her to succeed or fail miserably. There were even rumours of a movie based on her in the near future. Molly wasn't used to having her name up in lights or being plastered on the front page of newspapers. It made having a normal life even harder. Molly wasn't liking having her life scanned and examined. However she wasn't planning on giving up her heroic dreams. So she simply slunk into the shadows and waited for the next big thing to come by and push thoughts of her out of everyone's head's. It didn't take long for a new hero to claim the spotlight and things returned to normal. Molly had thought she'd gotten off easy but she was more than wrong. Someone had been watching her closely. Plotting her downfall. Digging in to who she really was. Waiting for the moment to strike.
