BLACK PANTHER FOR THE "SPITE-SLAUGHTER-MURDER-DEATH-KILL"!

@veshark: Hasnt current BP been bumped to superhuman stats now? I dont know to what extent.

Yuppers, that's what I said. Though even prior to his upgrade, it was stated that Black Panther was an enhanced human. As to what extent his upgrade goes to, he hasn't had many showings. In fact, the only one I can think of was New Avengers #1.

As opposed to Batman (who had Hal's ring for a couple of minutes), Steve actually utilized the Nova Force intelligently, and went toe to toe with Nova (who was at the time under the influence of the Serpent Crown). This isn't us imagining what Batman would do if he had accustomed himself to the ring, or if he had formal GL training. Because, quite simply, that's an imaginary version of a fictional character. There's nothing to estimate the outcome by, since everyone may have a different idea on just how competent Batman would be (for the record, I think he'd be very good under those conditions). As it stands, Batman has 0 feats and no training, all the while Steve has a very solid perfomance as well as the WorldMind to guide, and instruct him through combat.

Steve wins.

Preach.

Also, teh black guy is Nick Fury Jr (Makes no sense on the Main Marvel-verse being influenced by the Cinema-verse when it should be vice versa)

Well the guy in the center is the Ultimate Nick Fury. And in all fairness, the cinema-verse was inspired by the Ultimate universe.

Adding another question to the OP

EDIT:

Apparently, I can't edit the OP so here it is anyway.

Should well known Superheroes' movie be origin heavy?

The way I view it is this: if it's been done before, there's no need to rehash it. But I can tolerate it in some occasions.

In the case of Batman Begins, I didn't mind, because the Nolan Batman is meant to be a realistic deviation from Burton's classic Batman. He's a lot different, and the origin story was essentially the foundation for the entire movie - it was an origin movie. So I didn't mind so much, and I thought it was executed very well.

But for yet another reboot of the Batman franchise, and for Man of Steel for instance - I don't want to see another origin-heavy movie. Just cover the origin in the opening credits or via flashback, and leave the story free to explore other avenues.

Haha wow, this was a great read. Kudos to both on you - this battle was leagues ahead of the regular matchups we see on the forums, and you both went back-and-forth like pros. Fantastic debate, and props to both sides for maintaining civil throughout the discussion.

My vote goes to @higorm for the more convincing argument though.

Wow, Black Panther's popped up a lot in recent battles...

But yeah, this is a mismatch, pal. Black Panther is the genius king of the MU's most advanced nation, and an expert superhuman fighter who has served alongside the Avengers and possesses an arsenal of powerful gadgets made from the rarest metals.

Batwoman is an urban non-powered vigilante.

Sigh...every possible variation and stipulation of this debate has been done to death.

Batman is my #1 favorite fictional character ever, but the end result is still the same. Spider-Man wins in a random encounter. Batman stands a good chance of winning given prep time.

@feebadger

Haha, thanks a lot pal, I'm humbled. Yeah, that whole post was actually a rant that had been boiling inside me for quite some time now. When Mercy and Cold came out, I was a little miffed by the production and Kanye's random threats. Then when New God Flow dropped, I was like 'this might still work out'. I figured with the recent successes of MBDTF and Watch the Throne, Cruel Summer would be another Kanye classic.

.....well, we all know how that turned out. xD
