Requesting Deletes/Combines and changing heros to teams

Hey all-

Just a note. Some feataures on the site are locked to the staff only. Since we did a lot of searching to get our list of character names there will often be duplicates (Mary Jane, Mary Jane Watson) and bad entries (Mary J.).

Also, our system needs us to manually set teams (like the X-Men) to a certain flag so they show up in searches for teams. If you see a teams page that specifically doesn't say "this page describes a team" then it's improperly flagged as a character.

Don't fret, just leave a note on this board and I can make any needed changes as soon as I see a post.

You can request the following:

1. To delete a character, team or any other page that doesn't belong.

2. To merge two or more pages together to combine their data and appearances/credits.

3. To properly set a page to a "team" so that you can attach members and do other team like stuff.

If you run into any other problems, just lemme know and we'll try to resolve it.

In my Avengers work last night, I discovered that there are two pages for Wasp; one that says Wasp (Marvel) and another that says The Wasp (Marvel). I think these should be merged into one page.

Done! Keep um coming. I just cleaned up Doctor Strange. The worst was J. Jonah Jameson, who had at leat 20 different spellings!

Okay, I also noticed that there were six entries for Rick Jones.

Rick Jones (Marvel)

Rick Jones V (Marvel)

Rick Jones GV (Marvel)

Rick Jones GA. Ka-Zar (Marvel)

Rick Jones V. The Missing Link (Marvel)

Rick Jones of Counter-Earth (Marvel)

These are all listed as character pages.

I'm on it. Btw, don't let this stop people from submitting content to these pages. As long as you submit to the main page only (usually the version with the most issues attached) all the data will stay, it'll just merge the issue credits from the fake-os in.

Oh, it doesn't stop me now that I know what the site's preference is. Like I was hesitant to update the Exile's team roster until I learned what to do with alternate versions of characters.

I've just discovered that we have two pages for Ant-Man, could you please combine the two?

I think I put this in the wrong place before.

4 Midnighter pages (2 are Midnighter and 2 are The Midnighter) and only one has anything on it other than issues.

Well, I sent it in a PM, but I'll restate it here:

I noticed there's both a "Hal Jordan" page and a "Green Lantern" page which refers to Hal and their both members of the Justice League.

Also, and not NEARLY as important, is "Hindsight" and "Hindsight Lad" both exist for the New Warriors.

Just noticed that "Omega Flight" is listed as a hero, not a team.

Can you combine the Stature and Cassie Lang page

Also the Asgardian and Wiccan pages

Fixed John Constantine, need to know which you want to be the default for the others.

I posted a bunch in the other topic that are still not fixed.

Also why has the members on Thunderbolts team page been removed?

Cassie Lang should be defaulted to Stature

Asgardian should be defaulted to Wiccan

So just so there is no confusion

The two pages that stay are Wiccan and Stature

If you need reason,

Asgardian was a name the now named Wiccan used in just a few issues, I think just one or two he now goes by Wiccan

Stature is Cassie Lang's Super hero name

Fenris was techically at team, but it's listed as a character page. Could you fix than when you have a chance (I know it'll probably be a while with the holidays and all, feel free to take you time)?

There's two pages for the character "Gambler".

One called "Gambler" and the other called "The Gambler".

Dick Ayers has two pages.

and the misspelled

also, Gaspar Saladino has two pages. One under his real name:
Gaspar Saladino
and one under one of his aliases:
LP Gregory
Maybe LP Gregory should just automatically forward to his real page?
