In my opinion the best look Gambit has had was the look Steve Scroce gave him in his own series. I'm also a fan of Jim Lee's original look for him. But I wish Scroce's look lasted longer.

I'll always have a soft spot for his classic look since it's the one I first saw the character with.

I also liked his X-Treme look because of it's sleek practicality.

His Evo look is another favorite of mine(at least from the neck down). I really dug the tunic thing they had him wearing under the coat and they actually made his metal boots look kickass.

As far as the Ultimate universe goes, I only liked his intro arc. Vaughan's made the character into a bad parody of 616 Gambit IMO. He also looked like a pirate with a bad perm.

This Gambit

I always thought the X-Men looked funny running around in yellow. Imagine that in real life. Especially Wolverine. Like a bowl of sunshine.

What about worst Gambit costume? The Witness?

The Witness was badass. I wish he would have been the one to kill the X-Men.

Yes, yes he was. I like this classic look.

Witness needs to put in another appearance. He kicked ass.

So what has "Black" Gambit been doing? I hate comic book limbo. With so many X-books you'd think they could find some way to let us know what's going on with the characters we like. Maybe they just needed time to figure out what to do with him.

Presumeably, he's been working alongside Mr. Sinister and Exodus. We'll know for sure this June when he returns.

Why did they leave him out of all the X-Men movies? Every poll they had in Wizard and other mags said, "Which X-Men would you most like to see in the next movie?" and it was always Gambit, followed by Angel. So who did we get? $#@!ing Kelsey Grammer as Beast, I know I couldnt contain myself.

Oh, and here's another great for hokiest line in a comic book movie.

Beast: "Wolverine....I hear your quite the animal."

Wolverine: "Look who's talking."

I also liked his first AoA outfit. The one with the jacket I mean, I didn't like the caped one very much. The razor blades he threw looked pretty cool as well.

The classic is the best. THe dark outfit doesn't seem THAT bad.

This is my favorite. An oldy but a goody.

Not a huge fan of the original outfit, too much pink. The X-teme X-men was cool.

I always thought of Gambit as a thief with style. I still kind of picture him with trousers (pants) instead of skintight legs.

I do agree that Black Gambit was the naffest outfit.

I like the original Jim lee era one but I also like the X-treme look to for the same reasons Canemacar stated...the paracticality of it,its what youd expect a thief to wear.
