@bat_girl_cc: Dodges bullets, laser blasts, a random firing laser cannon, and a lightning blast. All without spider sense.

Spider-man. All rounds. Has minor difficulty in round 4, stomps the rest.

If it isn't too much trouble, could someone tag me when this is over? I probably won't vote, but I really wanna read this debate once it's done.

Ugh. Why is Slott just the go to guy for everything Spider-man now?

Shocker, Doc Ock, and Iron Fist are the ones that I think would be the closest fights and therefore would provide the best debate.

Didn't the Spider-man movie contain actual footage of Spider-man fighting Doctor Octopus? And wasn't Spider-man filmed fighting Doc Ock in an earlier arc? It wouldn't exactly be difficult for Miles to be familiar with Peter's abilities.

k4tzm4n: Question, this Spider man miniseries with Parker is Pre or Post SpOck?

I view it as non-canon, and even if it isn't, it would take place at some point in the past. So either way, it's pre-SpOck.

Oh thank GOD!

I was about to flip a table at all the possible Spider Man fan arguments of why Peter can never lose lol.

I was just so flabber gasted that he would survive a gauntlet like that. Wheeew.

This is like, the third time he's done this doe.

So he beat Carnage, Venom, Lizard, and other back to back with no rest in between? No. Simply no.

Venom and Carnage alone have manhandled Spider Man. Same with Lizard. Beating them Back to back with tons more villains is truly fanboy fantasy.

Never read Amazing Spider-Man #500? He had to re-fight pretty much every battle he'd been in. He, at the very least, fought all of his main villains in a row, including Morlun, Venom, Lizard, and Carnage.

I'm still not sure where you're getting this as non-canon from. It's obviously not set in the present day, but that doesn't mean it's non-canon.

Doesn't mean it is a canon story about his past, either. Unless there's an official statement saying this is a canon story about his past, I'm not going to label it as such and play it safe instead of assuming it indeed is canon. But really, this is what we're going to discuss when it comes to the final issue's events? :P

That said, I did add the word "apparently" in there. It was an error to make that a definitive statement in the review instead of making it clear it's what I think.

That's fine. I just usually assume the opposite, that stories are canon unless obviously not so, or are called otherwise.

And that's a good point. I should really be talking more about how drool worthy Rudy's art has been throughout this whole series.

@vegandiet: But that's the thing, though. How much does the feat change just because Thor wasn't hitting at his full level? In fact, if he was hitting at his full level, Spider-man would have gotten knocked into orbit. So, we already know Thor wasn't hitting his hardest. Dishonest people lie and deceive but I did neither. I literally just didn't mention a useless fact. What difference does it make if Thor was resisting? That hit was hard enough to prove the suits durability. That's all that I needed to show because we know it was a hard hit capable of testing the suit's limits.

What difference does it make? A lot of difference. Not pointing out that Thor was holding back as much as he could, doesn't provide an honest look at the feat, and it makes it look as if you're trying to make it look more impressive than it actually is.
