@spidermonkey2099: Totally agree. Even after having read Morrison's run a good five or six times, I still feel like it doesn't really deserve the hype. 90s all the way.
Well, he did instigate the events which kicked off Schism, but it's difficult to tell whether he will have a bigger role in the last two issues. Seeing as he's going to be a part of Wolverine's new team, here's hoping he does.
I guess I want the same thing, but on a larger scale. DC have squeezed the new continuity into a space of five years; it would be nice to see a timeline of past events and perhaps a list of the big things that have been taken out completely. Still, I imagine all these things will be revealed eventually within their respective series'.
I think if you look at the film from a critical standpoint, the great pacing, an awesome cast and funky action sequences made for a wicked film. The only thing I found awkward was the underdeveloped relationship between Charles and Erik, which made the big, emotional breakup at the end seem a little bit forced.
Unfortunately, I looked at this film from the standpoint of an X-Men fan, and could not have been more disappointed. I...Alex Summers...Emma Frost...1962....I just don't even know where to start.
@CosmicGod432: Yeah, it's pretty darn confusing. DC haven't made it too easy for new readers to jump into GL with the New 52. Still, if you really want to get into it I recommend reading Sinestro Corps War, Blackest Night and War of the Green Lanterns so as to avoid any (more) confusion.
