Walking Dead Issue 48 | Review 0

The last issue of the "No One is Safe" mini-arc, and what is a pretty representative end to one of the much larger story-arcs that has been the focus of The Walking Dead for the past twenty-something issues. The Governor's final attempt to take the prison that Rick and the gang are holed up in, continues to unravel the status-quo.  The Good Wow...this is such a game-changer of an issue. In one fell swoop Kirkman masterfully writes a satisfying conclusion to one of the longer running story-arcs. ...

The final chapter brings the mini-series to a dramatic conclusion at Mt. Rushmore, where everything is finally revealed to Team Bartowski.  The Good As opposed to the last issue, the story took a step up in quality. Let's not kid ourselves here though, the story is still rubbish; however, it's nowhere near as offensively dumb as the last issue. In all honesty, there wasn't much of a place to go besides up in regards to the story. It picks up exactly after the cliffhanger, which has Chuck questio...

After running into the last person they expect to find in Paola's hideout, Team Bartowski formulates a new escape and rescue plan, leading the trio to a dramatic confrontation aboard Air Force One...  The Good The secondary story this time, is actually pretty brilliant, and by far the best part of this issue. So much so, in fact, that I wish it was extended and given it's own issue. The story alone, if expanded upon, would've been the best issue of the series so far. To elaborate, it's a Buy Mor...

In the last issue of Chuck, Team Bartowski managed to escape from the mysterious Fulcrum agent, Blaine's, rogue animal cloning facility, with the help of his assistant Paola. Their daring escape leads them through the Amazon, and into the Swiss Alps to her secret base, filled with her team of a lady, escort assassins. But at the team gets closer and closer to Paola, they begin to suspect something fishy...  The Good Casey continues to be the best written character, truly matching his television ...

Continuing the story arc from Issue #2, we pick up where we left off with Chuck on the wrong side of a samurai sword with a deal being made between warring factions. Chuck's life for Tommy's. Interwoven into the mix is a flashback to Sarah and Bryce's first mission as partners and a noir style tale set in the Buy More, where Morgan is left to find the culprit of a lunchable larceny. And has Chuck finally met his match with a new, opposing intersect?  The GoodThe art continues to be a mostly mixe...

Team Bartowski's on the move, hunting down an escaped Fulcrum agent, whose intentions are still a mystery, into the bustling and vast metropolis of Tokyo. Pop-culture references, hijinks, and ninja accountants ensue!  The Good As with the previous issue, the dialog is still really sharp, and befitting of the Chuck universe. Specifically, Agent Casey has been perfectly written. Chuck comes close to perfect, with the exception of a few repetitive jokes, which was off-putting and seemingly out of c...

Review: Chuck 01 2

This is the beginning of a story arc taking place between the first and second season of NBC's most entertaining show, Chuck. We pick up as Chuck daydreams of leaving the world he's become accustomed to, dreaming of something more than just being a tool for the government...but before he can even act upon his desires, he's thrust into a Fulcrum plot involving a secret prison base and an appearance by several villains from his past.  The Good The good news is that this most definitely feels like ...

Deadpool v3 #900 1

Deadpool's relatively new run, the ongoing Volume 3, has been one of my must read books every month. In my honest opinion, there hasn't been a dud issue yet, and I've enjoyed everything from the epic-ness that was the Deadpool-Skrull hybrid army to the more low-key adventures, such as Deadpool and Bob (Deadpool's unofficial, and equally unwanted sidekick) take on a group of rogue pirates. And let's not forget about Deadpool's genius plan to become a member of the X-Men. The reason these stories ...
