@k4tzm4n: This particular review has no negative implications towards DC. Would just like to reiterate and agree with that. Why I tend to have a slight problem with it, is that there seems to be a different set of rules for the companies on CV. I think everyone can agree that Marvel has an almost predictable formula about how to make their movies, it's as if they check off boxes on a checklist. In this modern era comic fans claim to want diversity whether it comes to art style, writing style, racial diversity, sexual diversity etc etc. Regardless of what anyone feels about Man of Steel, it was very different to just about any other superhero movie out, yet it was criticized for being things like 'disaster porn' and no one takes a second look when the Avengers destroyed New York as Tony Stark brings a flying Chitauri monster chasing him through the city with 'bringing the party to you' as his announcement. Herein lies my problem, CV and comic fans CLAIM to want diversity but only if it is done within a very particular mold approved by the vox populi. I can only imagine the outrage if a certain nameless company continued in it's current and very different mold to Marvel where the movies are this predictable. But because it's Marvel just keep it moving.

Once again nothing to do with this particular review.

Thanks Katz

For a website that demands such diversity from another nameless company it sure doesn't require it for Marvel. Same stuff different day. Crack a few jokes and make the villain a fool to get a laugh here or there and Marvel has done it's job apparently. No diversity needed here keep it moving people. Nothing wrong with a good old double standard I say.

@drellassassin: Well I couldn't disagree more. CV IMO is not pro everything. They are very anti DC for one thing. Marvel and Image can do no wrong on this site. The other publishers are kind of non existent.

@drellassassin: Just to clarify. This is a huge event in the world of comics. Only an IDIOT would expect them not to cover this with a microscope. My point was his phraseology was so clearly pro Marvel (all of their contributors are guilty of this, so it isn't a specific charge to him) with the 'what gives' comment . I am a fan of objectivity and fairness and I cannot recall (granted this is solely based on my experiences) this kind of terminology used for ANYTHING ELSE besides Marvel.

P.S. Marvel is not the comic industry to be pro comics does not mean to be pro Marvel.

And to think people always ask me why I think ComicVine is pro Marvel. If I have not been following Secret Wars 'what gives'? As if to suggest that to not follow everything Marvel does is somehow inexplicable and shocking. gthoh
