@xwraith: Same here. It was nice of them to announce the existence of this thing immediately, but they glossed over the fact that it wouldn't be out for nearly a whole year.
I came for the news about the adaptation of a comic book story line into a movie. I stayed for the hilarious memes.
Civil War seems like a really bad idea for a movie with such a small pool of characters to draw from, but I'm ready to be proven wrong. I could see them pulling it off if it's merely "inspired by" the comic rather than attempting to retell it.
I don't get to watch the Nick cartoon anymore (no cable), but I've seen enough of it to know that it's a damn good show. Not really keen on just how scrawny Bebop is, but it's the one change to the duo that I would say that bout.
The IDW version of Bebop and Rocksteady is great. I appreciate them being billed as a legitimate threat and nigh invincible. It lets them get away with being morons without being useless.
I understand the constant desire to "cover up" Wonder Woman, but why do they always go in a direction that has nothing to do with her character or origin? Why do they always refuse to play up the whole Greek mythology aspect? Is it not as important as I think it is?
I hope to God that they skip the origin story. Tell the important bits in flashbacks if need be, or Incredible Hulk it during the opening credits, but it would be bananas to have to sit through that story for a third time in less than 15 years.
Losing Andrew Garfield as Peter is a bummer (I liked him in that role a lot).
Although I'm not well versed in the Carol Danvers lore, I figured (hoped?) that they would do an origin story for her as Ms. Marvel with the old costume to start, then call the sequel Captain Marvel and have her change costumes.
I know that Marvel has been pushing hard for her adoption of the Captain Marvel moniker, but it seems to me that launching her with the more iconic look/name would be beneficial.
