Having animal power would suck. No animals have really cool powers like telekinesis or flame projection or a super-fast healing factor.

I know, but they're still not on the same level as most superheroes with healing factors. If someone had 'gecko powers' they couldn't walk through a firefight and shrug off a barrage of bullets.

The waterbear is extremely durable, it's microscopic, but it can survive a nuclear bomb and other harsh conditions.

True dat.
But if I had to choose just one power from an animal, as the OP suggests, the gecko's healing factor wouldn't be as awesome as a superpower that doesn't come from a particular animal.

Well id actually choose the rhino beetle , considering it can lift 850 times its own body weight , now if you apply that to yourself it would amount to quite a bit of strength .
For me it would mean i could lift 59 tons ....... not too shabby.

Hmm. Nice idea. I just hope you wouldn't have to have the exoskeleton and freaky face to go with it.

 I'd want this things powers!!!

1. Proportionate Strength: of a Rhinoceros Beetle, Rhinoceros Beetles are proportionally the strongest animals in the world. They can lift 850 times their weight. So I could lift over 100 tons.

2. Proportionate Jumping Ability: of a Flea, Fleas jump 100 times their height. So I could jump over 600 feet.

3. Proportionate Speed: of the Tiger Beetle, it is the fastest  land animal on earth, and estimations have shown that the tiger beetle could easily reach speeds of   up to 300 mph (480kph) if it was proportionately the size of a Human.

4. Night Vision of an Owl: Owl have extremely good night vision.

5. Proportionate Electric Power: of the electric eel is one of the few animals on the planet that can make, store, and discharge electricity. The actual amount it discharges is debatable. However, 500V is the most accepted value to express the electric current produced by an electric eel. For me with at least 20x the body mass of the eel that means the power for at least 10,000V.

6. Regenerative Ability: of a Lizard, faster healing ability as well as being able to regenerate limbs in a mater of days.

7. A Dog's Sense of Smell: It's been estimated that dogs can identify smells somewhere between 1,000 to 10,000 times better than humans can.

8. A Cat’s Sense of Hearing: Cats' sense of hearing is remarkably superior to that of humans. A cats' hearing range (in Hz) is 45 to 64,000, compared to 64-23,000 in humans. This means that cats can hear sounds we can't hear on both ends of the spectrum, particularly the higher end. So a cat can hear a mouse rustling in the brush from 30 feet away.

9. The Echolocation (radar sense) of a Bat: This is the sensory ability allows bats to maneuver in total darkness, using echoes of their ultrasonic calls to detect objects in their vicinity.

10. The Poison Resistance of a Mongoose: The cobras' poison kills most animals. But the poison isn't nearly as harmful to Mongooses. Mongooses can also eat poisonous toads, centipedes, spiders, and scorpions without getting sick or dying.

The first 3 I also had on my list, no joke, they are so cool, but for regenerating, the starfish or even better, flatworms are far greater than lizards, think of regeneration on Cell's (DBZ) level, vs goku, I don't mean from actual cells.

Frogfish reflexes are very quick, as they can attack and swallow pre bigger than itself in 6 miliseconds.

The flight of the peregrine Falcon is 200mph, and so you would be faster running than flying, but it is still useful.

The Bombadier Beetle can create a very hot chemical which can be at 212 degrees F, very useful, now think if it was your size and you combined it with an eels power.
That is just in case you guys wanted to know.
