  • First, let me say my opinion is biased because I am a DC guy.
  • Second, let me say I truly believe Marvel makes better movies.

With that being said, I don't think this movie is going to be worth spit. I think it is going to be a watered down mess that is designed to pander to the masses. Disney is trying to make an answer to Twilight using an existing IP. I just don't think it is going to happen. I hope I'm wrong. I'll be there on opening weekend to find out, but I think I'm right.

I went to digital comics at the beginning of Flashpoint. I will most likely never buy a paper comic again. I've bought over 300 comics on Comixology over the lat year. I love the product! It is an absolute must for the modern comic reader. I had stopped reading comics to the most part because it was too time consuming to track down all the issues I wanted, or too hard to find back issues.

Unfortunately, this title isn't available digitally, or I would be reading it for sure.

Umm...this hit me yesterday...DC New 52 is running out of steam.

I loved it at first, but now I'm down to eight issues that I am reading and part of those I am getting weary of.

Here is what I am still reading:

  • Action Comics
  • Superman
  • Supergirl
  • Superboy
  • Teen Titans
  • Aquaman
  • All Star Western
  • Earth 2

I've given up on all the others, having started out reading all 52. Other than Team 7, none of the new ones sound remotely interesting to me. Ravagers and World's Finest was a let down, so I hope Team 7 is good.

I personally think that the heroes lives should progress a bit. Everyone is using Batman as the example. A lot of people really enjoyed Dick Grayson as Batman while Bruce Wayne was "away". A lot of people also enjoy the Batman Beyond line where Bruce is elderly and handles Terry McGinnis remotely. This is proof that the characters can progress and retire, and still be an integral part of something special. How cool would it be if Superman organized a group of heroes with similar powers and he trained them in all he had learned - both with powers and compassion? A Superboy and Supergirl teamup under Superman's tutelage would be an awesome story line that would give them the ability to focus more on his humanity as well.

I don't typically pick comics to read based on writer, but I have from time to time picked up issues because of an artist.

I have stopped reading certain comics because of a writer or artist change though. Some of these guys just don't belong in the business with all the fresh talent out there that is so much better. Rob Liefeld comes to mind...

While I see the point of the article, I still think Rulk is a ridiculous idea! Hulk's number one nemesis in several media types has always been Thunderbolt Ross. Now, Ross is just another Hulk that needs stopped if you apply his own opinions for years. Huge plot hole, and horrible character idea. Not to mention, Banner is and should always be the only Hulk - or it cheapens his history as a hero.
