Zoom is awesome indeed! Which is why I'm kinda bummed that he's nowhere around these days. Looking forward to the FlashPoint one shot, but from the looks of it, its Thawne :@

The renumbering is the only thing I'm not being able to get. Wonder Woman was renumbered to 600 recently, showcasing the total number of WW comics over the years. Batman, Superman, Action & Detective Comics have been running in their near 900s and even Adventure Comics is renumbered to 500 etc. Wouldn't it have made a lot more sense to renumber all the other titles according to continuity like GL or Flash. These titles have over 400 issues in their belt. JLA should have that amount too.

Is it just me or does anyone else feel the same?

I can probably imagine Reed Richards getting an Indigo tribe membership, while Spidey getting a Blue one. Punisher might pull off a Red Lantern ring while the Norman Osborn can take the Orange or Sinestro Corps rings. And Captain America would definitely go green for sure... and maybe [don't bash me for this] Johnny Storm can get re-animated as a Black Lantern?

Just assumptions folks...

I was actually pumped up during Azrael DDK that perhaps it was JPV making his grand return but alas that wasnt meant to be. While I haven't read the new Azrael series, I really can't comment on just how different the backstory is from the actual Azrael. Nevertheless, its quite annoying to expect such a change without a proper send-off or "Whatever happened to...". I would personally have loved it if JPV was given more page-time in the Blackest Night, perhaps even being in the "Blackest Night Batman" mini-series. It would have been a major story and one I thought should have happened. Regardless of which, if comic editors are going to do returns, then at least give returns their due. It did feel cheap that a guy like JPV that had so much exposure in the 90s and his own series would just get just about a page on Blackest Night, and not even be that meaningful.

Eradicator is another return that hasn't been done well. He was last seen prior to Infinite Crisis, and returned post-New Krypton/War of the Supermen arc. Wouldn't he have been a major character during the actual NK story arc? Or for that matter, are his appearances in the Outsiders noteworthy enough? I would personally have loved to see Eradicator with the remaining survivors or New Krypton or something, but that doesnt seem likely after what happened in Action Comics 901

I dunno, technically the whole act was genocide. Killing over a 100,000 sentient lifeforms was definitely overkill; probably as disastrous as the Coast City massacre. If you ask me, New Krypton shouldn't have been destroyed, and could have proved to be a potential planet where the other bottle cities could have made their home... well at least that's what I thought until Mon-El settled all the bottle cities in different locations.

Perhaps New Krypton could have been sent back to its original solar system, perhaps a pact could have been reached for peace between NK and Earth.... but destroyed... nada!

Superhero teams are lucky they don't have HR departments. If they did, they'd know that romantic relationships would never be allowed in the first place. I guess the Guardians had it right when they forbade GLs from getting together even for friendships in the early days.

Interesting dynamic. This could definitely be explored by the writers in some future storyline. Though I seriously doubt Wayne Enterprise employees now getting a larger life-insurance package with their job, Wayne could definitely get sued by employees for "unmanageable working conditions" (considering that nearly all the rogues want to kill them painfully doesn't leave much room to get any work done.)

But of course, Gotham is pretty much used to being a damned city since it started. People have been getting used to the crime, they find it hard to imagine that nothing bad will ever happen to them. They do expect the inevitable, since Gotham is full of crime, but now people related to Wayne are going to be looking over their shoulders a lot more than before.

I had Lightning Strike Batman and back then thought it was the coolest thing ever! Thank God it didn't make the list, or I'd look like a total moron :P

In my opinion, he should wear the suit and become a more public figure. The whole idea behind Superman is that he never hesitates to show himself to public or just plain talk to someone on the street. That's what makes him so trustworthy in the eyes of onlookers and public. They look at that heroic face not wearing a mask and they know this is the real deal.
