@jonny_anonymous: Seems cool. Olie riding a bike makes so much sense because it gives a feeling like an arrow crusing in and out of traffic.

i have no idea who is in charge over at DC Comics in making sure their team stays at their headquarters and doesnt get signed away to a rival company, but he or she is doing a terrible job of it thus far.

seriously DC has no talent anymore, they are hanging by a thread with people like Greg Capullo and Scott Snyder who are almost garunteed to put out quality month in and month out. Not mention, i dont have the stats to really confirm this, but i feel like Marvel's team is on average a lot younger than the people working at DC.

DiDio is 55 years old

Keith Giffen is 62 years old

Ray Fawkes is 48 years old

Greg Capullo is 52 years old

DeMatteis is 61 years old

Morrison is 55 years old

Jim Lee is 50 years old

i am not saying that these guys are incapable of writing good material because of their age but it says something about your company who gets bashed on low quality titles and its about the same dudes who were writing comics at DC in the late 90s and early 2000s. Marvel has new people, new ideas, people willing to take risks on stories because they are younger and sees things differently.

hell i dont know sh*t tbh, and i could be way wrong. but all i know is, if they lose another one of their creative minds that actually is doing good work for them, i have no doubts that Marvel will continue to be the #1 publisher for months and years to come.

(Jeff Lemire might be Marvel's next target, hell he is writing the new Hawkeye series, he could be swapped up, sense he aint writing any big title over at DC right now)

DC got new talent like Charles Soule and Andrea Sorrentino, DC has been pretty good at getting new talent.

Two kind of Daredevil figures. I hope the will make one with the yellow costume as well. The Hulkbuster and Spider-man 200 looks nice as well. What are the deal with the Marvel and Star Wars figures who has different parts from different figures combined into one. Are the sold that way or sold as normal figures you can just combine to weird toys with other figures?

@tupiaz: That's not what I meant by that.I meant that the stories weren't overly dark until deep into their respective runs.

Fair enough, I wouldn't use the term deeply either though more likely well. However that just ends up in a discussion about schematics and that is rarely going well nor in any directions.

@qtmxd: Not only did Karl Kesel do it but Joe Kelly did it as well. It's not fresh. The whole argument that every single writer wrote Matt dark and depressed puzzles me.Ann Nocenti did not right a depressed Matt until damn near towards the end of her five year tenure,D.G.Chickhester did not write a depressed Matt until Fall From Grace which was also near the end of another lengthy run, same with Denny O'neil witch ultimately lead to Born Again after the Micha Synn arc and a bunch of other random stories. The only person who really wrote a miserable and depressed Matt was Ed Brubaker, even though he went through same of the worst times under Bendis he was never drenched in depression.

Fall From Grace was done between 319-325. Chichester didn't leave the book until 342 nearly 1 1/2 years after the act I would more call it the middle of the run rather than the end. Ann Nocenti was introduced in 254 Ann Nocenti left the book 37 issues later with issue 291. His clinic was blown up doing the Lone's a stranger story act (tied into the inferno event). He Matt's life is hell and he is basically only Daredevil he leaves new York because of it. That happened 30 issues before Ann left the book. Those are hardly at "the end" of the run.

I read every single one of Nocenti's and Chickhester's issues so I don't need t be reminded of this.I'm not gonna argue just for the sake of arguing but I'll say what I meant.Even after Fall from Grace he still wasn't written depressed all the time.He just faked his death and had to be a little more edgier. After Lone Stranger he did a lot of other stories that didn't have him depressed, like the Ultron stories. You can stay within the character without going to the lengths in which Waid has gone through to so call freshen him up.Nocenti took him to hell, she gave him amnessia. My whole point is all Waid supporters keep saying that every writer did the same thing for twenty years plus and that's ludacris. The stories I just mentioned and stories like the Tree of Knowledge and Fall Grace are vastly different from Miller's or Bendis and others.

Perfect. And as our friend JRiddle observed, the statement that "every writer since Miller has written nothing but a depressed DD" is not an argument. It simply isn't true... not even close.

I never said it was. However saying that wasn't dark stories before the ends of Ann Nocenti's run or Chichester isn't true either.

@vance_astro: Yes. However the over plot is much more streamlined the subplot and thus the ending is now making sense. You see Matt as a lawyer it is a much more streamlined and so the character as more rounded.

Just to his beaten up body reminds me of the DD movie (Directors cut, which was decent) and gives the idea I have who Matt's body would be. That series seems to start of with Millers "The man with out fear" is great (judge by his costume). I'm pumped for this series.
