Is it bad ass or a cheap grown-up toy?

From a realistic point of view, i've always wondered why most superheroes don't wear bull proof vests, just in case.

My first thought would be: "Have comics ceased to exist?"
Then: "Have the staff ceased to exist?"
And finally: "Where am I?" Followed by the theme from The Twilight Zone. ^^

Need the first Marvelous Ushers. Any hints?

So i've watching Batman: The Brave and the Bold for some time, and i know the idea of the series is to show batman in various team-ups and one question comes to mind: Where is Superman?
 
I've seen him as Clark Kent and once with his back turned, but in non of the cases he even as much as speaks.
 
Isn't it just weird that the greatest team-up of DC's greatest heroes has been left out of a team-up themed show?
