@thegreatfour: MAYBE
I haven't fully decided yet. Probably not, but it's not like anyone cares about that Mind Over Matter RPG anymore anyway.

@thegreatfour: Turns out I was trying to log into some random person's account, which I thought was mine. Which would explain why I couldn't get on. Oops. Anyway, Wyvern will be Trompe L'oiel, it seems to fit her.

Trompe L'oeil
–noun
1.
1. visual  deception,  esp.  in  paintings,  in  which  objects  are rendered  in  extremely  fine  detail  emphasizing  the  illusion  of tactile  and  spatial  qualities.

2. a  painting,  mural,  or  panel  of  wallpaper  designed  to  create such  an  effect.

— n  , pl trompe l'oeils
1.a painting or decoration giving a convincing illusion of reality
2.an effect of this kind

[from French, literally: deception of the eye]
    (Definition from Dictionary.com)

And it has one more, secret meaning. One hidden away because of the danger it can cause. With certain means...certain devices....one can twist reality itself until it becomes a convincing illusion of what once was. All APPEARS normal...but under the surface everything has changed. And this is the power of the dangerous fiend known as Trompe L'oeil. Long ago, he was locked away in a painting (ironically) a trompe l'oeil itself.

Until, a traveller in the Painted World, Persephone Gray by name, accidentally freed this fearsome villain. Now he is free. What he will do next is anyones guess, but it certainly will not be beneficial to mankind.

In a Secret Base Somewhere On the Pacific Coast

Things just seemed a little...off. The staircase spiraled away to nowhere. Chairs had two legs, and hallways stretched away into infinity. This is the calling card (of sorts) of Trompe L'oeil. As we enter his study, he is making the finishing touches to a device. A terrible device. A horrible device. A wondrous device. What does it do? Let us let him soliloquize on that himself:

"I have been dreaming of this device ever since I was locked away in that cursed painting! This will make the world much more fun, oh yes indeed...if it survives that is. Even I don't quite know what powers will be unleashed when I push this very alluring red button! I'm not sure what I was thinking of more during captivity...the device itself, or this button. Anyway, the device will not change the world obviously, that's just not how I work. It will change the MINDS of anyone affected by its rays! They will find themselves in the body of another! Ooh, this will be fun! And absolutely no one will suspect that I, TROMPE L'OEIL am behind this! Now, enough stalling, time to press the button!"

The super-villain clapped his hands gleefully, and pressed the button. The world jumped a few feet to the left, and the mind-switching device took hold.
