Batman's a rich guy with toys. And his gadgets, while advanced for the real world, might as well be stone tools in the context of Comic Book World. In Comic Book World, Tony Stark's gadgetry lets him fly at supersonic speeds, fire magic "repulsor" rays, project magic "force fields", and bestows godlike strength. Reed Richards throwaway afterthought gadgets defy comprehension. And Batman has batarangs and a grapnel gun. And a car. His car doesn't even fly. Batman doesn't even fly....he's called Batman and he doesn't fly. But he can beat anyone because he's the best at everything in the whole world of all time. He's the best fighter, the best tactician, the best detective, the best escape artist, the best chef, and he can play guitar better than Eddie Van Halen and Jimi Henrix combined. Absolutely hateful character.

I agree completely.

He uses primitive tech because he doesn't want to kill. Tony doesn't mind killing his enemies, Bruce does.

One story I really thought interesting was Batman developing an EM shield that would repel bullets. However, when he used it and the bullets deflected off of him and killed an innocent bystander, he decided he would never again use something like that, that if someone was going to be in danger, it was going to be him.

Batman has also invented superpowers several times (not to mention power suits). However, the more powerful he is, the most dangerous his enemies will act in trying to hurt him. Look at what most of Superman's villains. They hurt innocent people because that's the only way to hurt Superman.

I agree with some of the things you say, like why doesn't Batman invent a jetpack instead of flying around in the batjet, however, I feel like those minor things don't detract from the objective of Batman.

Battle threads assume that Batman kicks off those restrictions... and he's shown himself to be quite capable when he's going up with a world destroying level threat.

Anime in almost every regard. Better stories, better fights, more interesting and believable worlds and characters, better music, making you feel something... I could go on and on.

My only regrets about anime are that A) the self-contained stories sometimes feel like they end too early B) power creep is rampant and C) fan service. Yes, I don't really find fan service to be well done in most instances. I'm sorry, I don't see why you need to show me 14-16 year old nude butts in the middle of dealing with mature issues like suicide, depression, hopelessness, betrayal, oppression, etc. I don't understand.

Yeah, ranting a bit about some things, but I just finished watching Sword Art Online, and it was REALLY GOOD, but if it wasn't so... Japanese, I would recommend it outside of anime-watching circles.

Neo solos. Smith solos as well if he's acquired the Oracle's powers already. WAY faster than either Riddick or Blade.

I don't know how the powerhouses vs powerhouses will go, but on individual basis, what's to stop a standard Jedi from speedblitzing a Green Lantern, grabbing his ring hand, and making the ring obey him instead of the GL? If Deathstroke has enough will to weaken a GL's grip on their ring, I'm sure a Jedi, who has such supernatural will that he can perform feats of magic, could.

well, not much can beat Father aka "Dwarf in the Flask". He literally absorbed god:

He is pulling God into himself though sheer power
He is pulling God into himself though sheer power

He casually made a sun in his hand
He casually made a sun in his hand

Yup. "I have acquired God" = /thread.

Link, with very, VERY few exceptions, has almost never fought without his sword. What's going to happen to him when Batman knocks the sword out of his hands? Oh... uh, get his *** beat, probably.

When the Doctor is pissed off... you're in for some serious, SERIOUS s***.

I'm sure the Doctor could figure out some way to cause a reality bomb to pass over his own home universe.

@lady_liberty: His biggest feat? He had to use his berserker armor to kill a jellyfish once, hahaha. But in all seriousness, just read over mine and Reikai's conversation and you should get a grasp of how strong he is.

@trollheim: As for the Bradley question, anyone with good reflexes should do just fine against him. An old man ninja was able to go toe to toe with the Fuhrer (aswell as Scar later on). I can't see Spiderman, which his spider senses, great reflexes, and agility having a problem with him. Only Wrath's healing factor should be a problem for the web-head.

Something I hadn't taken into consideration in prior debates about Wrath is that when Wrath fought Scar, his eye had already been gouged out, so he didn't have his ultimate eye ability. His eye lets him predict the movements of an opponent he can see... so my point about Spiderman was that if Spiderman can know what Wrath will do next, and Wrath knows how Spiderman will react, do they cancel out and it'll come down to who can act faster? Of course, spidey sense doesn't require him to have eyes on his target, but then it can't really be used offensively either, so they're not exactly the same.
