Hope I'm not the only one mega-excited about Axel. Also hoping that it doesn't take until Buccatello's issues to see him again. Still not convinced that the one-armed Trickster was him, the costumes were too different.

But...what if you don't like the Joker? And don't care about seeing him again? How about we get a Riddler story instead?

Kate Kane for the win! Seriously, that moment was so awesome, I showed it to my uncle and he was like YES YOU GO GIRL.
And I was like Tom, it's a comic book. She can't hear you. DON'T CARE, YOU GO GIRL.
(I love you, unc.)

Ms. Grundy?! Noooo!
Ms. Grundy was the kind of teacher I always wished I could have had, but never got. She was friendly, outgoing, and really cared about the kids she taught. I, I'm gonna have to go now...something in my eye...

Ted Kord is my single favorite nonpowered hero and as much as I'd love to see him come back to life, I'm going to throw in my card with those who say nay. In Crisis on Infinite Earths, while many characters bit the big one, which two are most remembered? Supergirl and Barry Allen. The original Kara Zor-El not only died, but was written out of existence completely, and didn't return until what, 04? Not even gonna start with Barry Allen, because the events leading up to his return are still pretty muddy to me, and the reason behind it was that apparently, the Silver Age "originals" (for my full rant on this matter, see here: http://thetogblog.wordpress.com/2010/08/31/ill-be-in-the-angry-dome/ ) are more important to fans than the modern age characters who've only been doing what they for as little as five years to as many as twenty five. Yeah, I'm standing up for Wally, someone get me a straitjacket.

Anyway, back to the point. CoIE's major, memorable deaths were Kara and Barry. Infinite Crisis' major, memorable deaths were Ted and Kon. But unlike Kara, whose death was written out of continuity altogether and Barry, whose death was a stepping stone for Wally to become one of the central characters in the DCU, Ted and Kon's deaths just caused a lot of emo bitchery. Seriously. Tim and Cassie were a wreck for the better part of two years and were only just letting him go when BOOM, he comes back. Ted's death, however, has been referenced in Birds of Prey, Manhunter (and may I just say that the entire storyline squicked me out?), the new Blue Beetle series, and of course, Booster Gold. While it was obvious that Kon was supposed to be our new Barry, for a time, Ted was thrust into that role instead. His pranks remembered fondly, his heroic actions embellished a bit, in fact, wasn't Skeets recently refering to him as 'Saint Ted'? You know what, I've completely forgotten where I'm going with this.

End story, keep Ted dead until there is a legitimate reason to bring him back other than Booster misses him. Do another "Booster goes to visit Ted in the past" arc every few dozen issues to keep fans appeased, but for god's sake, leave the boy BE.

Swear to god if Lex gets the same obsession with Death as Deadpool has with Lady Death over in the Marvel universe, I'll produce a brick, right there in the comic shop.
