I'd say red son superman,he could take the self destruction of Braniac's ship which was powered by 6 black holes : such an explosion could wipe out everything in a 15 million mile radius. Then he could fly much faster than light and even move and fight 10 times faster than the speed of thought.
This thread need to be closed: post crisis supes slaughters end of story
Well in my opinion pre-52 wins this but mostly thanks to his superior experience and fighting skill. They are almost equals in terms of power.
lol wut, Pc supes has shown better feats in everything. Lifting, strenght, speed durability. opponents defeated and list goes on. Im huge Supes fan and new 52 is nowhere near the post crisis one
Nope. Being a huge fan of a character doesn't mean that he stomps the one you don't like every time. Pre-52 Superman has better striking and durability feats, the new-52 has a better operational capability and a superior strength and he still close enough even in durability and striking force to pose a threat. Again, pre-52 wins this but mostly because he is a better fighter,by much.
New 52 stomps. Pre-52 Superman struggled immensely to move a moon with the help of dozens of Kryptonians. 52 Superman essentially benched pressed the earth for 5 days without sun light.
I know this was posted 1 year ago....but let me say that Callisto (the moon) was surrounded by a relativistic bubble which could bend the space around it in order to move the celestial body at relativistic speeds. So they weren't just pushing a moon which was moving extremely fast, but they were trying to do it even against the kryptonian tech that was actively moving it. Even a simple bullet moving at near light speed should have a near infinite mass so try to think how much momentum can have a moon moving at those speeds.
However pre-52 Superman could push the earth into its orbit with Hal jordan while Starbreaker was moving the planet in the opposite direction,he could lift a portion of miniature black hole...ecc...but Superman could also push the moon on his own in "JLA 80-Page Giant #3 - The Century War II" even against the force that was moving it:
Now i am not saying that he is physically as strong as his new-52 version but for sure he has a near planetary or even planetary level strength.
@toptom: If you mean the scans involving Superman and Kyle holding the moon together when the G-forces were increased on it then yes I have seen that. More impressive than I initially thought and it's the issue where Superman casually lifts that giant alien ship so I'm all the more grateful for knowing the exact issue number for that feat! :)
Yep that one :) Actually they even hold back the moon individually for some time ,against that force even. I wonder why such a big feat is so unknow and not-used even in most of the respect threads and in the battle forums. Maybe because most of it has happened off panel i suppose
No more red trunks please, his old costume is an icon but we need to go on.....as we have already done. However with this Rebirth suit he seems to be wearing a blue pajamas so i hope that DC will also do a little step back and re-use his red boots. What i think is that he has blue boots now since he may be some kind of version of the blue electric superman and that he will get a new and better costume after the Superman Reborn crossover.
Nice, this is both a good durability and reaction time/speed feat since to intercept an energy beam you have to be fast enough to see where it is going to connect and be able to shield the target in time.
Speaking of feats, have you seen the one i've posted for pre-52 Supes in the other respect thread? (The one taken from JLA: the century war)
